This place is horrible. Came on my husband day off to get a DOT exam for his work. They took forever to call him to the back then when they did he sat and waited in the room for over an hour when I finally got tired or sitting in the cold lobby and he text me and tells me he is still waiting to see the doctor. They were not that busy at all when we came in 4 people in the lobby when we got there. The clerks take forever to process the patient to be seen. . Not "Express" at all. If he didn't need to get his DOT done we would have not came here. Now that I have came here I will NEVER EVER come here for a urgent care need or visit. Terrible experience. The front desk was very kind, but the "doctor" was very rude and had no real knowledge. If you don't test positive for COVID then there's nothing she would do. Janelle was the rude "doctors" name. She refused to give her last name, that's a first to hear from a "physician". Due to her extreme lack of knowledge and unpolished behavior I'm assuming she's not an actual doctor and just someone they use to push people through so they can charge insurance. read more

I'm from Houston so being away from home is 10x worse when you come down with something. My boyfriend and I decided to come here when I started to feel worse. Believe me when I say this is one of the best services I've ever experienced. The lady at the front desk who explained everything to me and was very patient , the woman taking my vitals who made me laugh to ease my nerves and the doctor who was very kind and caring and listened to what I had to say. Dr Glaze made sure to prescribe me medicines that would help me get better and answered any questions that we threw his way. Even though I was feeling absolutely terrible everybody at this facility made things so easy and I would highly recommend this place. read more

If I could give zero stars, I would. Last night I went to MedExpress to get x-rays on what I suspected was a fractured rib. When I arrived, they told me on the phone to leave my mask in the car and one would be provided when I got inside. When I went in, they took my temp and then escorted me to a waiting area. At no point was I offered a mask. I kept wondering when I would receive one, but never got the opportunity to ask, and one was never provided. I was in there about an hour and a half, and was never offered a mask. Yes, I should have asked for one but it turns out I have a fractured rib and my mind was more on that than anything else. My husband went ballistic when I got to the car and told him I didn't have a mask on while I was inside (he wasn't allowed in with me and had to wait in the car). I'm a cancer patient on chemo and I'm at a very elevated risk with a compromised immune system. When we called MedExpress to ask about their policy and to hopefully be reassured that I was indeed safe, that I wasn't at risk because of their procedures, they instead got very defensive and very rude and accused me of lying. WHY WOULD I LIE??? What motivation do I have to lie? We asked them that very question and they said, "Well, what motivation do WE have to lie?" Uh...your reputation? Your jobs? They have a lot of reason to lie and say they gave me one. And maybe they aren't lying about it maybe they were just frazzled and in a hurry--there was a lonnnng lines of cars waiting for Covid testing outside--but honestly they're putting their own lives at risk by not ensuring that everyone they contact has a mask on. It was just a stupid error but they won't own up to it and instead decided to call a patient a liar. I'm hoping I don't get sick but if I do, this isn't going to go well for them. And I'd recommend that no one use them. They just don't have the proper protocols or safety measures in place for their patients. My husband asked to see their logs or records that showed I was given a mask...they don't keep logs or records. Your word against theirs. The sad part is that before they called me a liar, I would have given them very high marks. Overall they were kind and compassionate and I really didn't have to wait too long. I liked everyone I dealt with and they got me in and out fast. They just didn't follow Covid protocols and when questioned about it, went right to the "you're a liar" excuse. My daughter needed to be seen. No fever. No cough. No hard time breathing. No loss of taste or smell. Just a slightly sore throat. But they insisted she got tested for corona before anything else. Then she'd have had to go on quarantine as they don't offer rapid tests. My daughter gets strep a couple times every year. But this place insisted everyone coming in gets Covid testing. Guess state funds them for this? I don't know. We declined and went a few blocks to Altus. They only tested according to her symptoms. No quarantine and wasting our time and money. She DID have strep. Got our Rx , and left. I'll not try MedExpress again. With all of the crazy news and fake results... it's not ok to insist a patient get tested for something they don't have symptoms of. That's just finding a way around the system to make extra money, in my opinion. In addition to trying to quarantine my entire family while we wait on results of something we don't have. Walk ins ONLY!- There were 3 patients waiting to be seen when I got there. This worried me at first that it would take a while to get seen. From the moment I entered until I was discharged was maybe 45 minutes. Great friendly, professional staff! Great experience! It was not too expensive either for me being a cash patient! read more

I called yesterday to get information on COVID testing because my wife tested positive. I showed up at 7:30 they open at 8 AM. I started calling at 8 and for 58 calls busy or couldn't take calls because they were busy. I completely understand that no problem. What I do have a problem with is there were two people in line when I showed up I followed the instructions given me that are also on the BIG sign out front and stayed in my car and kept calling. By now there are about 25-30 people in line. A young lady comes out and starts taking names and numbers. I got off and asked if we were supposed to be in line or in our vehicles. She said she was taking numbers to call people and register them because they lined up and I needed to get at the back of the line. I explained that I was there early and she kind of just shrugged it off. That really frustrated me because the ones following instructions are put at the bottom of the wait list. She should have never taken names and numbers. That just encourages opposite of the instructions they give to call in. She should have asked them to get in the vehicles and call In like others were doing and following instructions per MedExpress. I left and called and the guy that answered signed me up for my visit. The only reason I came back is because rapid results are limited in our area. First and last time here and I will never come back. The only reason for one star is because you can't give any less. For good customer service go elsewhere. UPDATE; after waiting 1 1/2 hours I called to check how much longer it would be. They told me they were having system issues And had no idea how much longer. So I asked for a reimbursement. The system seems to be working fine when they took my money. Never again Gina please read my review again. My frustration was not the busy phones or 58 call attempts. It was the lady in red pants that came out and started taking names and numbers of people who didn't follow YOUR procedures. They were in line and not in the vehicles. She should have sent them to the cars to call in like every one else following your instructions. I for one that was there early and following MedExpresses instructions were asked to go to the back of the line. WRONG very WRONG. If you'd like to call me I can explain it to you in case your not understanding. You have my information. And to top it off they still charged my card $40 after being told they would reimburse me and I never stepped foot in that damn place. read more

Quick service, my insurance was accepted, PA answered all of our questions and concerns about our 13 month old. Kind and friendly staff.

I gave one a star review because the visit was quick, and the nurses were kind. However, I was there for an injury and the nurse practitioner hardly assessed me. I waited for forty five minutes in the parking lot for registration, etc for a visit that lasted less than five minutes. The NP did not lay a hand on me, did not perform any tests or ask more than one question. I've been seen for similar complaint before at another urgent care and was actually assessed and some diagnostic testing performed- not at MedExpress. I was not provided with a work note either, and I lift people for a living, so given the nature of my injury, a work note would have been beneficial. Medexpress would be good for a work physical, but I would not recommend if you've got an illness or injury requiring any real assessment or treatment. read more

I am not from Waxahachie and live in a different town. I was there for a soccer practice/scrimmage and my son got hurt and we found this place. It was about 15 mins before closing time and they took us in for an x-ray. Everyone was so nice and helpful at the time and I would have given this place a 5 star rating but unfortunately, I called back almost two weeks later because the school lost my son's doctor's note and asked if they could fax or email it to me. The lady who answered the phone told me they couldn't do that but could leave one at the front desk for me to pick up. I told her I did not live there and was in a different town she told me that was the best they could do. I asked to speak to the manager and the manager Connie was not helpful at all. She informed me that they can not email it because it is a violation of HIPAA. I told her it is just a note saying he was seen at your facility and there is no medical info on the form so it shouldn't be a violation. I told her I am in a different town and can not come pick it up. She was extremely rude to me and told me their system would not allow them to send it by email and it will come back. I said you can't scan it as a PDF and email it to me. She again said she couldn't do that as it will not go through. This was a BS answer as I know it can be done. They just didn't want to be bothered with it. She was very rude so I became rude right back to her and told her I would never use their facility again and hung up. I did some research and found out you can indeed email a doctor's note to a patient. I also found out that medical places have to have a way to get patients their medical records if they are out of town. This is an urgent care place and they should have that option but sadly, I felt they just didn't want to bother with me. They have now put me in a bind but I have learned a valuable lesson that I will always ask for 2 copies now so I can keep one for my records since I never dreamed it would have been this difficult to get another copy. read more
