This is disappointing because the hotel was centrally located to the trails we would ride, well if this is how they're going to treat us, we'll take our business elsewhere. I have filed a complaint with the better business bureau. Even after speaking with the owner of Woodland, he insists on charging me, so I will never give this thief any more business.

It is more like coming to a second home than a hotel. The rooms are clean, spacious, and comfy. The staff is always friendly and accommodating. We are a very large group. Some of us have disabilities that require special assistance, adaptive rooms, service animals, and caretakers. Some of us travel with aides or professional assistants/managers. This hotel handles it all with professionalism and calm. We use banquet spaces, meeting rooms, suites, hospitality spaces, and the restaurant. We take up most of the parking and if the pool or sauna are available, we are in my heaven! A few of us even use the workout room or hang out at the bar! This hotel keeps us coming back because they treat us well; they feed us well; they serve us amazing hospitality; and the fees are a great value! If you're in Marshfield, don't overlook this inconspicuous gem of a hotel! It's a part of the Best Western Group. These people put the "best" in hotel service industry! This year on my annual vacation to the area, I was glad to see that Camp 28 had been sold and reopened, so I figured I'd give it another chance. I'm very happy I did. The pot roast was outstanding, the walleye excellent (try the breaded version), and the on-tap beers were great. From talking with one of the new owners, I found out that they have also been overhauling the rooms, and I much prefer the new decor, interesting photos and items from the logging history of the area.
