I would not recommend this facility…read more When a facility is unable to have sufficient staffing levels, it is impossible to provide care in a timely manner. (On one weekend all the aides called out for the overnight shift, so an aide was pulled from another unit to help. With 40 beds in Mom's rehab area, it was tough.) Aides should not have to hunt for supplies when preparing to change a patient. Large sized briefs, barrier cream and garbage bags should not be in short supply in a nursing facility. 95% of the employees here are good souls. Their heart are in the right place, they care about their patients and attempt to do the impossible. The kitchen team is incredible. They offer so many options to patients, produce delicious food and are incredibly responsive to requests. As someone who stayed with their loved one - leaving only to shower and briefly nap - I have the following recommendation to caregivers. - Keep a careful eye on prescribed medications - Visit frequently - Check skin integrity frequently - Engage with the dietician and ensure personnel delivering/recovering food are aware of current meal plan protocols. Dietician does not reach out to patient/family to inform them how things are supposed to work. You will need to ask. - The PT program is not a rigid structured time setup. It is effectively first come first serve. Which may result in the therapist who is familiar case being unavailable when the patient is available. - lack of visibility into prescribed medication as well as report of medications actually dispensed, needs significant improvements. Key personnel administering medication have experienced significant unexplained turnover, which is somewhat in step with facilities personnel charges at all positions. When Mom was last released from a hospital, our family opted to bring her directly home instead of risking another experience like the one at Island Nursing.

After many many attempts to get medicine on time it becomes an impossibility to find out why they don't respond. One nurse tried giving my family member the wrong medicine. Thank God they would ask about what they were being given. Their own nurse attended to wounds once every 3-4 days when their wound was to be taken care of 2x a day. This place is terrible and if you need rehab or nursing care, DO NOT GO HERE.

At the time he was over 300lbs with a bone on bone. It was torture and did more harm than good. They didn't actually start working with him seriously until the last 4 weeks left on his Medicare coverage. When I got him home that day he was seriously worse then when he went in. They told me he was doing well, he couldn't stand from the wheelchair with help. His calves were atraphied. He was still in a diaper. The information on his discharge papers is a lie. He did not voluntary leave that place. He does not have kidney disease. They did more harm to him then good and it's going to take more time and money then it should to fix it. They have no business claiming to be a physical therapy facility. Stay far away from this place.

I recieve all my medications as required and the PT department is one of the best I've ever experienced. The entire time I've been here, Guest Relations has stayed on top of everything. Repeatedly stopping in to make sure I am comfortable and getting everything i need. Of course, in any organization there may be one or two disgruntled workers, and in my time here only once I had an aid who was not up to par. So dont give up, at one moments bad taste because this facility has provided me with a 99.9% absolutely everything i needed to get me back on my feet, and get me walking out the door to go home. A special call out to the CNA,s. Their caring ,compassion, and respect for the clients dignity is more than anyone could ask for. ​

Premier is a poorly run establishment in so many ways. Their lack of communication, their disregard for those in pain, their obnoxious attitudes, their inability to return phone calls, their appalling lies, and the way they handle patients should cause this "business" to be shut down. Please do not put yourself through the torture of Premier East. Feel free to schedule an appointment and see what happens. The "people" at the front desk have no customer service skills, the therapists (only basing this on one therapist) are very rude, and the office manager does not know how to make a return phone call. I can say that the doctor had a nice personality but that is the only positive feedback that I am able to provide. This place needs a complete overhaul of employees and practices. Be smart and choose another therapy practice.
