Teetering on 5 stars. This place is HUGE. I found it through Tarantella's - literally around the corner. They have a work relationship with them so you get 10% off (5% for cheaper items) for parties, plus free delivery to the restaurant :) !!! Mike, the manager, was super nice and accommodating to us. He got his order book out and even helped us gauge how much wine we would need based on our guest number. I barely drink but they had the wines I actually do like - Barefoot's Moscato and Valenzano "Plum's Up," plus many varieties from this winery. The store is well organized and clean. read more

I'm not very familiar with the booze outlets in this area, but we were referred to MW&S by the manager of a nearby restaurant that we are having a party at soon. They will deliver your order there free of charge the night before, will take back any unopened bottles and even discount almost all items( for our choices it was between 5% and 10%) It's easy to be a fan of that sweet arrangement. So on our first visit here we met with Mike, he gave us sound advice on how much we should purchase based on guest count and duration of the event. Then set us loose in his clean and concise shop. I just made a list of what was needed, brought it back to him when finished and in minutes our order was placed. The wines are organized by variety and not by geography. This system works well in smaller and medium sized stores. I was happy to see such a good selection of local NJ wines, especially from Tomasello and Valenzano wineries. We picked several 1.5 liter bottles from among this group, and at $12 a bottle( before discount) a much better option than box or other mass marketed 1.5 liters. We also found a good Prosecco to use for the toast. A special request wine that I was familiar with was available and at a competitive price too. With our focus being on the event I didn't really get to scope out the beer options here. But any visit to a liquor store is not complete for me without glancing at the Scotch section at least briefly. Theirs was much better than average with most of my favorites represented, and even some harder to find quality $ 30 ish offerings. I'm not sure how many, if any, other area restaurants have this arrangement with MW&S. For us it was one less detail to worry about and nice to know that if our order was overzealous, we could return some of it. I'd certainly recommend other party planners in this vicinity to see if they could work with them. read more

Great selection! Conveniently located in a shopping center that you can grab groceries and then the wine to pair with it. Love that they carry Stella Rosa which I always have a hard time finding locally. Prices are great selection is large and staff is helpful. read more

Has my favorite wine, brandy and gin. Employees are so nice and helpful. Reasonably priced and has a wide selection of everything. Even found some box wine I like. Acme & Asian restaurant are right there as well so I can pick up dinner for Friday nights as well. Very happy to have found this place as new to the area. read more

Medford Wine & Spirits is the quintessential local beer shop. Like Christopher, I am a beer person so I can only really talk about that. But I found the selection to be more than adequate to cover all of your general bases. Prices were not super cheap but not through the roof. The store was busy but friendly and we were able to get in and out quickly. In general a fine place to stop in for a six if you need one. read more

Not a bad liquor store. There were a couple of interesting beers available, though I wish that they had some more bombers kept in the fridge. I would like to be able to go and get a bomber on my way to a BYOB, similar to how I pick up a bottle of wine, but they are never cold. If I could give a zero I would. I was in the store when a man had a seizure. The entire staff was incompetent. I asked the cashier numerous times to call 911 as I had thought I left my phone in the car. She completely ignored me. Two additional staff members stared at the guy as he preceded to crash his head thru a window and then said ,"we are going to call the manager." I found my phone and called 911 and waited until an ambulance was on it's way before leaving. Pathetic read more

Medford Wine and Spirits is very easy to get to. The staff is very friendly. Mike and Greg are very knowledgeable and will help recommend a great wine for dinner. If they don't have something in stock they will order it for you. They are constantly adding new spirits. Their vodka selection alone has more that doubled in the last 6 months. read more
