To make a long, painful story short and avoid ranting about how horrible Purolator has been with my order for over a month, I will describe how I finally got this company to get my order to Peoples Drug Mart. Peoples Drug Mart is located in a medical centre. Going into this drugstore requires entering the medical centre's door first, followed by the drugstore's door. There were two steps that I used to get to the main doors of the medical centre. There are two ramps on either side of the building for those who cannot use the stairs. The door to the drugstore was propped open. I appreciated it, as my pickup order was roughly thirty pounds. I liked seeing the brace support section when I was about to walk through the drugstore's door. It had a decent selection. It was much better than my go-to drugstore's! This drugstore has a security camera and a voice greeting that indicates a customer has entered the store. The latter startled me. I wasn't expecting such a booming greeting! I walked up to the pickup area. A nice man greeted me. I said my name and said that I had a Purolator order. He went to fetch it with his female counterpart. The box was indeed heavy. He fetched it and placed it on the counter. The woman verified who I was by looking at my driver's licence. I had to sign for my order and did it with my finger on the machine. The both said that the box was heavy. I knew it would be. I thanked both of them and walked out with my heavy item. I got through the first door fine. It was out the medical centre door where I needed an older man to hold the door open. At first, he was waiting for me to open the door. It wasn't going to happen. He looked at the box that I was carrying and realized that he should hold the door open for me. I thanked him and said my box was thirty pounds. I got me and my item down two steps and to my car. It was a weighty workout. I was relieved that this ordeal was over. I liked this Purolator pickup area. It's not the best going through two doors with a heavy box. I'm not a fan of Purolator after this ordeal. However, it's good to know that I can pick up a parcel here when Purolator gets its act together. (158)

I remembered this one in Aurora as I was driving up Bayview Avenue and made a stop. It's located in a plaza with plenty of parking. I backed into a spot and walked over to this Shoppers. The setup is what you'd expect at any Shoppers Drug Mart. You walk in and see the beauty boutique. I ended up heading to the vitamins section, which was bright and organized nicely. Aurora has more Asian stores these days. You see the influence at this Shoppers. The ramen section was pretty good. It's actually better than my local Shoppers. I was also happy to see Choco Pie. I ended up picking up a bag of Whisps, too. They are cheese snacks that are lactose-free and keto. I had them later on that day. They were saltier than I'd like, but they were yummy. This drugstore has a post office at the back of the store. It wasn't terribly busy when I passed by. There was one cashier assisting customers. The lineup was getting long, so I took my few items over to the self-checkout. I paid and was out of this store in a flash! I had a positive experience here. She's consistently rude, unprofessional, and seems to be bitter for no reason. I've read other reviews, and it's clear that I'm not the only one who feels this way. She gives the dirtiest looks, throws items around with no respect, and makes rude comments that make the whole experience uncomfortable. In contrast, there's a lovely, very understanding lady (I think she might be Asian) who works there too, and she's always helpful and kind. I'm sorry I don't know her name, but once, she let me know I could bring in a barcode, and she'd handle the return--even taping the package for me. But when I came back, Asha was there, and she rudely told me I needed the label printed and wouldn't even let me use tape to close my box. I ended up leaving and coming back on a different day just to avoid dealing with her. To be clear, I have no problems at all with Shoppers Drug Mart; the staff there are always amazing and helpful. My issue is only with Asha at Canada Post in Aurora. If you go, I'd recommend checking who's working to avoid this kind of experience.

Last Wednesday, I had dinner at an eatery on Kennedy Road. As I was driving home heading northbound on this road, I needed a Shoppers Drug Mart (SDM). I could have visited my local one, but I wanted to try a SDM that I had never been to. I remembered this drugstore that I always drive by, but have never visited. It's the Agincourt Mall location, but it's a standalone store on the northwest corner of Kennedy and Sheppard Avenue East. Eons ago, this corner used to have an M&M's Food Market. It was my first time ever visiting this franchise. It's sadly gone. There was lots of parking here at around 6:30 pm. I found a parking spot fairly close to the entrance and backed into it. I then walked in. Like most SDM stores, this one is set up as expected. You walk through the doors and the beauty section greets you. I needed toothpaste. The oral hygiene aisle was close by. I was pleased to grab a tube of Sensodyne toothpaste that was on sale. It is a large store. It was bright and clean when I was there. I have been using facial wipes lately. I like how they clean my eyelashes and eyelids nicely. These wipes are a party of my dry eye care. I found a package of Nivea facial wipes that were heavily reduced. I grabbed a package. I briefly looked at the vitamin section. A lot of them were on sale. I enjoyed looking at the Easter merchandise and the plushies. Nothing was on sale, but everything was so cute! I checked out the cold drinks. I needed a beverage. I got two bottles of Diet Pepsi. The Diet Pepsi hit the spot as I drove home. This store has self-checkout kiosks. There wasn't a human available. I had no problem scanning everything, followed by my PC Optimum barcode on my phone. I paid with a credit card. I tapped my phone and my payment was done. I like that this store is open till midnight. The hours are much better than my local one that closes at 8 pm. I'm so glad that I finally visited this store.
