Another time I needed a notary. Left messages, Noone ever called back. The last tax return was awful as you might imagine. They answered zero questions I posed in my paperwork, instead they just filed my returns without that critical info. I also feel they line charge for many items that should just be part of the service. When called to get help with getting copies of my returns sent to my new tax preparer. They said it's $75 per year. I said this is part of why I left. She hung up on me. GO ELSEWHERE FOR TAX PREPARATION

No one looks at your stuff, but one person who doesn't even have her CPA license. It really made me wonder what was in all those piles of papers that were stacked every which way. I also always found them a bit expensive. Last year they sent out a window of time to pick up and sign the tax forms. I showed up on one the days they said, and the whole place was closed. I went in the next day and mentioned that I had tried to come on the date that they specifically told me, and the woman working in the front desk looked at me like I was a horrible person and said in a shocked voice, "IT WAS EASTER!" This year, in January, when I scheduled my meeting with Max, to discuss a few things and drop off my tax forms. I specifically requested a date early enough to have my taxes filed on time. Last night, when I started to work on my tax packet I saw that they had a cut off date of today and so I called the office to get clarification, since I knew I had specifically requested a date before their cutoff. I should have another couple of days. Not only did they not apologize for their scheduling mistake, but they also told me they would charge me $150 to file an extension. I will not be using them ever again.

He was a bit short-sounding in his response, so reading that, I asked if there might be a better time to connect. Again, the reply was short in tone and certainly not what I was looking for in a person who would be this important in our lives.
