I did electrolysis faithfully for over a year at EAM and I would say I was left with 90% of my original hair growth. I have since moved away from the Ann Arbor area and resumed electrolysis at a different clinic. The experience of electrolysis could not be more different at this new clinic. They establish a very clear treatment plan and timeline. When a hair is treated you cannot feel it being removed. If a treated hair offers any resistance to being removed, the electrologist retreats it. The results have been remarkable so far. This is not how electrolysis works at EAM. You pay for glorified plucking sessions which are very sadly a waste of your time and money. Seek services elsewhere.

They claim on their website that you can get a treatment for around the price of waxing. The average price of even full body waxing is $90 to $280. They indicated average number of needed treatments to be 7-10. If that came to fruition in my case, that would mean I would be paying nearly $500 per treatment! And that is with their 50% offer (which notably they offer nearly monthly).

She even said that if any dark spots remained, they would be taken care of at the follow‑up appointment 4-6 weeks later. She made it sound like the results would be amazing once the skin peeled and healed, so we trusted her. After the first treatment, my mom's forehead and chin looked a bit brighter, but the dark spots on her cheeks were still exactly the same--no improvement at all. I reassured my mom that it would be okay because they had promised to treat any remaining spots at the follow‑up. But when she went to her follow‑up appointment today, they suddenly changed the story. They told her that treating both cheeks was not included, and that the follow‑up only covered one small freckle on each side. They then tried to sell her another full treatment for the cheeks--after the first one didn't work in the first place. When I reminded the esthetician that she had said "one and done," she backtracked and claimed that "one and done" sometimes means up to three treatments--something she never mentioned before taking my mom's money. This feels like a scam. They expect my mom to keep paying thousands of dollars for treatments that didn't deliver the results they promised. Quality treatments are worth the price when they actually work, but this place did not deliver what they sold us. Don't waste your money here. We regret trusting them.
