It's not far from Michigan International Speedway and on the way to our lunch destination. The inside is deceptively large. I did not expect this store to be this large, but it's enormous and well laid out. The décor is very down-home/country (like its name says) and it's kept very clean. On a 95° day it's nice to go inside and soak up a little air conditioning, so meandering each and every aisle with my friends was kind of like a field trip. The produce department is quite sizable I saw two staff members tending to the produce, keeping it stocked and well maintained. The deli was hopping (it was Race Weekend). I needed to purchase a cooler to take to the track but wasn't having a lot of locating one. One of the Produce staff paused what he was doing and told me exactly where to find it. I got an insulated Coleman® six-can cooler for just $20(US). They have a HUGE selection of beer, both craft and domestic and a very nicely stocked beer cave. When it comes to snacks, they got them in huge tracts of lands. Pretzels to Doritos® to bean dip to jerky, they've got you covered. And the best thing? The ABSOLUTE best thing? The original and still the best Doritos®!! Checking out was a breeze, with plenty of cashiers manning the registers. Yes, you saw that right. Cashiers running registers. The more the big grocery stores switch to self-checkout the more you start to appreciate interacting with a human. Since I live about 6 hours away there's a good chance I won't be visiting any time soon, but next year I already know where my "provisions" will come from.

The store had a lot of things I didn't expect them to have, especially for such a small town. There is a bakery, liquor, walk in beer cooler and a lot different items. The prices are probably slightly higher than elsewhere, but I'm just happy there is such a good store in Brooklyn.

First of all, the customer service at this location is phenomenal. They really spend time answering any questions that you may have and offer free samples of anything you'd be interested in trying. They also have many testers throughout the store. They strive to give you the best experience possible with their products. They sincerely want you to be happy with what you buy. Every staff member has been extremely knowledgeable and just so willing to help. The products speak for themselves. I have loved everything that I have purchased thus far. I have tried 8 different products. One product was given to me as a free sample on my first visit and I liked it so much that I purchased a full bar on my second trip. Everyone around me is always asking me what I am wearing or what shampoo I use and I get excited to tell them about Lush and their amazing products. Lastly, but equally as important as customer service and product efficacy, is their ethical company practice. They do not test on animals (a biggie for me) and the ingredients are all natural and extremely fresh. Being that many of their products are solids, there is minimal packaging involved. Swung by on the way home from work. Easy in and out. Not hard at all to find what I was looking for. I was rung up quickly and was done in a flash. Two minutes of my time and bonus, they were on sale! The guy running the register was friendly but not pushing other products on me. He offered up a flyer of sales and left it at that. I heard him answering questions for another customer as I left. As a non health food supplement store type (although I seem to keep needing various vitamin/supplement type products- hello cherry juice), I appreciated the hands off approach here. Obviously had I needed help I could have gotten it, but seeing I was in veni vidi vici mode I was helped to my level of need. Happiness. I love stores that know when you need attention and assistance and likewise are hands off when you are in a rush.
