On a recent camping trip with some friends we made several stops at Country Market for "provisions" (beer and snacks). It's not far from Michigan International Speedway and on the way to our lunch destination. The inside is deceptively large. I did not expect this store to be this large, but it's enormous and well laid out. The décor is very down-home/country (like its name says) and it's kept very clean. On a 95° day it's nice to go inside and soak up a little air conditioning, so meandering each and every aisle with my friends was kind of like a field trip. The produce department is quite sizable I saw two staff members tending to the produce, keeping it stocked and well maintained. The deli was hopping (it was Race Weekend). I needed to purchase a cooler to take to the track but wasn't having a lot of locating one. One of the Produce staff paused what he was doing and told me exactly where to find it. I got an insulated Coleman® six-can cooler for just $20(US). They have a HUGE selection of beer, both craft and domestic and a very nicely stocked beer cave. When it comes to snacks, they got them in huge tracts of lands. Pretzels to Doritos® to bean dip to jerky, they've got you covered. And the best thing? The ABSOLUTE best thing? The original and still the best Doritos®!! Checking out was a breeze, with plenty of cashiers manning the registers. Yes, you saw that right. Cashiers running registers. The more the big grocery stores switch to self-checkout the more you start to appreciate interacting with a human. Since I live about 6 hours away there's a good chance I won't be visiting any time soon, but next year I already know where my "provisions" will come from. read more

Country Market Pharmacy - The Original and Best Dorito® - Drugstores Near Me - Brooklyn, Michigan

Country Market is THE grocery store in Brooklyn and the biggest between Jackson and Adrian. I was pleasantly surprised with the selection. The store had a lot of things I didn't expect them to have, especially for such a small town. There is a bakery, liquor, walk in beer cooler and a lot different items. The prices are probably slightly higher than elsewhere, but I'm just happy there is such a good store in Brooklyn. read more

Given the fact that this is the only "real" grocery" store in the area, Country Market is pretty decent. The selection isn't what I'm used to but we didn't have too much trouble finding what we needed. Not necessarily what we wanted, but the need was met. We didn't have any customer service issues while visiting here. read more

This is a pretty good grocery store located towards the outskirts of Brooklyn near MIS speedway. If you're going to a race or camping in the area then this is the only supermarket within 20 miles so plan on stocking up there on beer, liquor, ice, and snacks. They have a large walk in beer cooler, good selection of beer, and great prices on beer. The meat department is a full service one. Rest of the store is pretty good and they run a weekly ad with good prices. Pricing is comparable to your typical Meijer or Kroger supermarket. read more

This place has the worst customer service I have ever witness. I ordered 3 kegs for a party I was having a month in advance. I called a week before to double check the order and make sure everything was correct. I show up to the store the day of the party and not only do they have my order wrong, but they have 0 kegs for me. The manager blankly stared at me the entire time and would not help accommodate me in any way. Don't waste your time or money here, go to Yoder's a couple miles down the road. They have cheaper beer/kegs and AMAZING customer service!! read more
