I reviewed Medrano's two years ago with a five star. It is still a 5 star. The food was hot and fresh and my tacos were full of tender shredded beef, lettuce, cheese and tomatoes. The beans and rice were also tasty. The restaurant was clean and bright. The service was excellent. Best part was the price. They have a special where you can have your choice of 3 items from tacos, burritos, chili rellenos, or enchiladas in your choice of shredded chicken or shredded beef. It comes with rice and beans. Recently visited this location for a birthday party. Though the menu was preselected, we had the following items. Beef chimichangas, cheese enchilada, chicken fajitas, beans and rice. And green salad. Each of the above items were tried and I must say all had great flavors and were not greasy. The cheese enchilada, though basic to me, was great. The sauce was flavorful, or your A-Typical sauce. Tasted authentic to me. The chips and salsa were great with salsa flavorful with plenty of cilantro, which I like. The staff were helpful and spot on with drinks. Ice teas never emptied. The restaurant was clean and well organized without a bunch of clutter. New to Lancaster and only had tried the Medranos on Avenue K near the fwy. I was not pleased with the food. A coworker had her babyshower at the 10th st Location. I ordered a Asada Burrito and to my surprise it was good. Our waitress was nice and attentive. They had a nice system for everyone in the party to pay separate. Went here with 3 other people. Everyone enjoyed their food. They didn't have any food specials for happy hour but did have drink specials. The service was very good. The music was not super loud and we got seated right away. My wife really liked that you can mix flavors for margaritas. read more

The food here if Medrano is very good very plentiful the waitresses are wonderful. They make sure that you have enough drink. Will there be soda coffee whatever plenty of food chips and dip are very good. This place is beautiful inside and very peaceful. I would recommend it to the president of the United States. My SO and I were discussing about lunch. Then we decided to come here after watching a good movie. I ordered my usual (@ Mexican Restaurants) Cheese Enchilada, it came with a side salad. My SO ordered Chilaquiles from the lunch specials. While waiting we ordered a cocktail, it gave us a good buzz. Yay They gave us fresh chips with salsa too. Customer service was good. I was in town visiting family . They were raving about this place. We went for brunch. The variety of Mexican favorites were plenty. From camaroneros a la diabla, carnitas made to order eggs, tamales, soups. Chicharrón in salsa, fruit salads and a ton more and of course mamosa's . Food well worth the brunch. The service was ok but it's brunch most of the staff were friendly the waiter we had was very serious person but the rest of the staff were friendly and accommodating. I'm so disappointed to make this review. My dad was a regular here with his wife. He brought me here for dinner on Tuesday. It started great, the margarita looked good. Unfortunately, we waited at the restaurant for an hour and a half and wasn't brought our food. All we ordered was a soup and salad, and tacos. After forty five minutes they came to finally bring chips and salsa. We asked about our order hit before we could finish asking the young guy just laughed and went to the next table. They never came back to check on us or when we just wanted to leave, we couldn't find anyone to ask for the check. My margarita (which seemed like just juice) was $11 so we left $15 and left after not getting anyone to come check on us or find anyone to get the check. My dad was so disappointed he had made it clear he will not be returning. I tried calling and asking for a manager and left my name and number to try and resolve this and never had a return call, hence taking it here and warning others. read more

After a few nights out of town, my husband and I were heading back home and craved authentic Mexican food. We passed by Medranos and knew this had to be the spot. We were seated in the main dining room but the kids there were too loud for our preference. The server was gracious and moved us over to the bar. This was more our style!! We each ordered the carne milanesa with a side of ranchera sauce and a house salad. The food here is huge, next time we can share a dish. It was very delicious and hit the spot. The el elephante burrito is super huge. It will definitely fill a big guy or 2-3 people. It usually comes with shredded chicken or beef but I asked for carne asada and oh man was that a good idea. We've been to this location on 10St W and J4 three times so far and so I felt it was time to leave a review. Every time we went, the servers were extremely helpful, friendly, and consistently refilling our drinks, chips, and salsa. The food comes out in a timely manner and always looks freshly made. Also, I've noticed a lot of diners pack their leftover food to-go because of the large portion size, don't get me wrong, which is great! The place is always clean and the ambiance is great. A bit off topic, I've read some of the negative reviews about loud Mariachi band playing, I've never came across them playing, but it's normal for it to be loud, so to avoid it, just call in advance to find out if they are playing that day instead of putting up a negative review when all they are just trying to do is make a holiday more festive. The food isn't overly salty and not bland. Let's get real here, I've tried several items on the menu, like the chile rellenos and the shrimp quesadillas, which was tasty, and the shrimp fajitas was okay. They have a really nice ninos menu for the kids. My little one usually gets chicken tenders with fries, which is decent, and my older son tried the hamburger and didn't like it, the waitress noticed he didn't eat it, and immediately asked how was everything, I told the waitress about the hamburger, and she immediately asked if she could replace it with something else, I told her it wasn't necessary, because my son just didn't want to try anything else, and mind you he is a picky eater. Also, no offense, but I warned him not to order a burger at a Mexican restaurant, it's like ordering Italian pasta at a burger joint, it just isn't done. Anyway, the waitress removed it off the bill without me even asking her. She really went above and beyond. To me the service is outstanding every time, the food is exceptional, fairly priced, large portion, and yes, the shrimp fajitas for one person really has only six shrimp and more veggies in it, if you'd like more, I'm sure you can order more at a fair cost, and most importantly the place is always spotless. I've paid with my credit card on a few occasions and no issues with being overcharged, and I'm always given a receipt for proof. If any issues, I feel like they'd know how to properly handle it, which makes me feel better. We'll definitely be stopping by again and I'd recommend it to everyone I know. read more

!!BEWARE OF THIS LOCATION!!! When going out for happy hour at the bar on a Thursday night, two of the WOMEN bartender's had taken note of my card info and committed fraud. My total had come out to $64 and some change, I left a tip in cash. The same day the money was taken out of my bank account just to see 2 days later I had gotten a refund of that $64 no longer showing that transaction. ONE DAY after seeing it was refunded I see a new transaction for $110. Come to find out the woman tipped herself an additional $64 on top of the $15 i left her in cash.
