We scheduled two 1 hour massages for my husband and I. They got us in the very next day. The location is inside a strip mall between a grocery store and a breakfast place. The front staff was super nice. They knew who we were and were ready for us before we even said who we were . My husband said his masseuse did a great deep tissue massage. Mine it a great deep tissue massage focusing on my upper and lower back. Note. When I schedule I made sure to get pricing etc so I know what I'm paying. When I went up there to pay the front desk said double the price than what we were quoted on the phone. I mentioned it was double what I was quoted and she quick fixed the cost and apologized.... I heard about medspa810 from a girlfriend who makes the 40 minute drive from home because she loves it that much! Well, friends, I am next! I had a hydrafacial + dermaplane by Amber and it was fantastic! I left glowing! The best part about the entire experience was that she walked me through everything that she was doing and helped me come up with a plan to continue fostering healthy skin at home. She was not pushing expensive products on me, in fact, she was encouraging me to use up what I have at home so that I don't waste money but then gave me samples to try so that when I'm ready to totally switch over my regimen, I knew what worked. I have never had this experience before and I'm so grateful!! Medical grade face products are very expensive so the fact that she was sensitive to this made all the difference for me. She gave me samples of iS Clinical products and you guys, I LOVE THEM! I will absolutely be moving over to these. Customer service ruined an otherwise perfect experience. I bought a package of 6 laser hair removal sessions for a full brazilian. I was always on time, always tipped, tipped extra for Christmas, always pleasant, and had wonderful experiences all five times. They were all professional, Jenna was phenomenal, but that does not excuse the terrible customer service I experienced on my 6th session. My cycle started unexpectedly early right before the appointment. I called about 15 minutes before open hoping to get someone as soon as possible since my appointment was at 9am. As soon as I shared that my cycle started and I would like to reschedule, the lady seemed taken aback. She said that, just so I know, most people do come in on their periods. I informed her that I was getting a full brazilian. Getting that while on my cycle is not in my comfort level. It was always communicated to me that you should not get lasered while on an antibiotic and that lasering close to or on your cycle is more painful. It happened to me each time I was close to my cycle. I thought it was reasonable to not want a full brazilian laser down there right as my cycle started. I was treated as an inconvenience to Jenna and the staff for something I thought was reasonable to want to reschedule for and offered new dates for. I have never been late and the other time I had to reschedule for a funeral was promptly and professionally handled with no hassle. I was then told that there would be a $30 late cancellation fee. Did I mention a brazilian, on my period??? She said the fee is automatically put in by the system. That's fine, I've used systems like that in retail before. You can then remove the fee or refund the fee. Some systems have numerous ways to fix this. I asked if I was being charged a fee for a natural, biological process that I cannot control. She did not give a straight answer. Then after some silence, she suddenly said "Skylar I'm going to have to call you back it's the top of the hour and I have customers to check in" then hung up on me! She did not reschedule me, she did not give me information on the fee, and she quickly rushed me off the phone. She already was talking to a customer. But as soon as she knew I wanted to reschedule I was not treated as a normal customer. I was dismissed, disregarded, and disrespected. I was treated as if I was arbitrarily cancelling an appointment right before with no reason or respect towards the laser technician. For a biological process. For my period starting before a BRAZILIAN LASER SESSION. If the customer service cannot understand, accommodate, and RESPECTFULLY TREAT their customer for not wanting to get a brazilian laser treatment on the first day of her period who called ahead of hours as soon as she could to inform them and reschedule, then why would I expect them to be understanding and professional if anything else came up in the future? There are so many med spas and laser hair removal places in Scottsdale alone. I will not go somewhere that punishes me and disrespects me for a legitimate and reasonable need to reschedule. I hope they take this as a lesson and opportunity to teach their staff better ways to communicate with and treat customers so they do not continue to lose customers. The other wonderful people, like Jenna, are reliable, accomodating, and professional. I, however, only recommend this place if you go in rain or shine, healthy or sick, pain free or in pain. That is how their expectations of their customers were just communicated to me. What a disappointing experience and opportunity to do better for other remaining customers. read more

Definitely will not be going back to this location. My last massage was one of the most painful massages I've ever had. I should have gotten off the table within the 1st 15-20 minutes. I did ask the therapist to lighten the pressure several times and each time she just dug in harder on my neck and shoulders w/ the excuse that when she finds a knot she wants to get it out. When I spoke to the front desk afterwards I was told it was a scheduling error on their end. Apparently whomever scheduled me equated my hot stone request w/ give me your most aggressive massage therapist. I was told the therapist has a following w/ a certain group of people. That's great for her but that seems like something you should ask a client if they want before you schedule someone w/ her. I've been to this location several times and at no time have I been with the therapist, requested the therapist or have the words aggressive massage come out of my mouth. It's not like there's some fine line between a normal relaxing massage and excruciating muscle therapy so there's no room for a mis-understanding. The front desk offered to remove the hot stone fee. That was the only part of the massage that was semi relaxing. To top it off the therapist mentioned several times throughout the "massage" that she has an aversion to the oil used during hot stone massages and the stones make her hands hurt b/c of the heat. Why in the world would would you accept a hot stone client? They also had a therapist who asked me to come back into the room after I had gotten dressed so that she could talk to me. She said she was licensed in some sort of trauma therapy and noticed my shoulders kept coming up during the massage which is a sign of a trauma victim. What? You were literally behind me pulling my shoulders up while working on my upper back (I was laying on my back). I guess my shoulders didn't go all the way back to a resting position??? She also tried to talk me out of going to Orange Theory. She had a unique personality so I just wrote the whole convo off. On a positive note, all of the other massage therapists I've had have been great. Update: There's no way there was a mis-understanding at the time I was checking out b/c I brought up a comment a client of the therapist I had said while he was checking out and right before I went back. He said "she should be arrested b/c she beat me up". I was told he likes the pain. Where is the mis-understanding? Again, great for the therapist that she has a following but there is no way there was a mis-understanding when I was checking out. I didn't know she was going to be my therapist until I was taken back. A that point, I figured she did various types of massages ... most massage therapists do so I didn't think much of it. My bad ... I should have just ended the massage in the 1st 15-20 minutes and regret not doing so. read more

I have been a client at Medusa 810 for a number of years and am a regular massage and facial customer. Since the start of my membership with the spa I have had two therapists who were excellent. When my last therapist, Teralyn, had to unfortunately leave during COVID I thought I would never find anyone else who could measure up to her. However, I was wrong. Wendi (referred to me by Teralyn) is my current therapist and has been working on me two times a week for the last 1 1/2 years. She has literally relieved me of a burning pain in my back that I have had for 2 years and is also working on loosening my neck, shoulders, legs, hip flexors and even my feet. I cannot say enough good things about Wendi. Aside from being a phenomenal therapist, she is very kind and a truly caring person. I feel so fortunate to have found her. In addition the massages, I have had facials with Kristie and Erin who are both fantastic at what they do. They are so knowledgable.
