Yesterday about 6 o'clock pm we went to get my friend checked at the medwell. The receptionist was great. The nurse that came in to check his vitals was fantastic. The doctor on duty was not very empathic to the condition of my friend. I don't recall her name but she was a tall blonde thin doctor. She was very unprofessional. The doctor came in to tell us no flu or covid which we were thankful for but did not actually tell us what was wrong. Never sent him for further testing or if necessary. Sent us home with no paperwork or explanation of his diagnosis. Only a prescription for a steroid (which is questionable by google) and ibuprofen. I came here because I didn't want to go to a traditional ER, in the long run, I should have just gone to one. I signed in and filled out the forms as soon as I got here. After the forms, I paid what I thought was my copay, ended up being short actually. I went back and waited to see the doctor on call and then headed to the X-ray area. Returned to the room and waited again. What really would have cost me about $2.50 in OTC medicine ended up being $65 total. I knew I busted up my knee, but because of work demanding an excuse, I wasted more money than I should have. Remember that copay I mentioned earlier, well I get a bill in the mail for $5 because they didn't charge me the full amount. I then ended up getting another bill in the mail for $40. You know what I found out after all this and what will probably cause me to go elsewhere in the future? Conemaugh Memorial is now a for profit medical center. They were bought out by Duke LifePoint. So no wonder I paid more than I should have. read more

I also had poor experiences with the doctors and staff. The doctors never believed what I told them. Once I came in with a severe sore throat (so bad I felt like I couldn't swallow). They said it was a cold. I instructed them to do a strep test and refused to leave until they did. They came back quickly to say it was very positive (no need to wait for the cell culture). Another time I came in with a cough which I'd had for 2 weeks. They did a flu test said it was a cold so they couldn't do anything for me. I had to schedule a visit with my GP which took another week and by that time I had pneumonia. read more

Will never go here again!! I go there, I'm diagnosed with pneumonia and pleurisy (swelling of the lining of your lungs) I have 103 tempture. I tell you pleurisy is THE WORST pain I ever felt!! I ask for a doctor's excuse for my work for tomorrow and the next day and DOC. states "oh we only give an excuse for the day of the visit" so I say "you're saying I should go to work tomorrow" doctor States "no, you have pneumonia... u will need to go to your family doctor to be seen and recieved an excuse"...??!!!?!! They are the meanest, rudest secretaries around.I called and asked if there was a wait. They said they wouldn't answer that and hung up on me. I showed up sick with my kids and they again wouldn't tell me his long. The women was extremely rude and I ended up leaving I don't know how this place gets any business. Go to Icare. read more

The group of women i saw here are absolutely terrible. i go in having horrible chest pain and make you sit and wait for three hours. when you finally get into a room they take at least 30 minutes to come in. you can hear straight thru the walls and all they are doing is gossiping about Alanis Morrisette. And complaining abour their husbands and boyfriends. im not sorry but the entire group of women i saw was completely un adequate all except for the Xray girl she was very nice and did her job very well, she was very understanding of the pain i was in. Unlike the rest of her co workers Anyway it is completely unacceptable when someone has horrible chest pains and you make them wait 3 hours then tell them "its all in your head and we cant do anything have a nice day" read more

If I could give them a zero review I would. Went there 2 days for my husband had eye infections in both eyes. I mean they were a mess. Not sure the ladies name I had she said she was a PA. Look at my husband from across the room and diagnosed him with pink eye. Proceded to ask why he waited so long to come in. They got infected from the morning. How much earlier we should have went don't know I guess before we had symptoms. She prescribed drops which on the direction said to put in right eye. Maybe if she would have gotten closer she would have seen it was in both eyes. Eyes are still a mess 2 days later. Guess we'll have to try to get a hold of our dr. tomorrow. I went there for a sore throat, very bad coughing and barely able to talk to get told it's nothing but allergies when I'm on 3 different allergy meds and I've never had any issues with losing my voice except for when I had laryngitis. read more

I did read the other 2 posts about this place. I was extremely reluctant to take my son there since this was the same place as my former neurologist and the office was in the same place, but my son needed care NOW, and the staff could not have been more flexible, especially regarding my son's insurance was in the process of going through by the powers that be in Pittsburgh. It simply did not have. I was very relieved as each person just helped me as much as they could. I am OCD so it is very different and hard to please me and set my fears at ease. (When I am very difficult, they seemed to know this and in 45 seconds that we waited, and were seen almost immediately. I felt that it was a nasty sinus infection and the doctor was very interested and caring and even had a sense of humor. The care my son received was outstanding! Thanks to all of you! read more

This is a new building with lots of construction in the area. After finding my way to regester I waited abut 15 minutes. Got called in to the room where a nurse took my vitals and meds that I was taking, she was very professional. The doctor (Dr. Sharon Plank M.Dcame in and I explained to her what was bothering me. . told her I have asthma and COPD and have been having a chronic cough for 21/2 to 3 months and needed relief. She looked at my throat and said it was red (no shit) then wrote a script of a new inhaler and pill to relieve my coughing. No swab, no blood work, no x-rays. Not the kind of doctor that I would trust in the future. read more

This place is a joke. I was seen almost 2 weeks ago for my eye infection. The Dr refused to give me eye drops and would only give me a prescription for steriods. So here I am 2 weeks later my eye is still real bad and when I called to see if they would now give me the drops they still refuse and want me to drive back there 40 miles round trip to be jerked around again.
