I called and ordered a Birthday meal for my father the other day and had a friend pick it up to deliver for me. I'm in another state and was hoping they would make their steak dinner at 4pm but they wouldn't make any exceptions because dinner starts at 5pm. I was pretty bummed but decided to get their western burger with a baked potato and a side salad. I also purchased a meal for the friend that delivered to my father for me. He ordered a Buffalo wrap with French fries. The food was great however they did forget the side salad I ordered for my dad. Staff is always friendly in Meeker So I'm sure it was just a mistake but just make sure to check your Togo orders. read more

Very good food! Excellent staff. One block off the highway. We asked at gas station where we could get breakfast. You should have a sign advertising on the highway at the edges of town so travelers can find you! The building is full of atmosphere and history. A real gem!! read more

The cafe has the best bacon. Whether it's on the Cobb salad or BLT, it's worth a trip.

Classic western style diner with excellent service and good options on the breakfast menu. My coffee cup was refilled regularly and always hot just the way I like it. Large portions. I enjoyed an omelette with bacon, sausage, tomatoes covered in their green chili sauce. It was awesome! The bacon was perfect with decent size perfectly cooked chunks. Breakfast all day and at a great price! Don't pass up a green chili smothered burrito! Yum! Their French toast is also a family favorite!

Service was very good and quick. From there, well, I guess you just have to be grateful to have some food after a long drive through the Flat Tops Scenic Byway. The last time I was in Meeker was about 40 years ago to go hiking in the Flat Tops. I remember going into the Meeker Hotel and eating at the Meeker Cafe. Not much has changed, although the Meeker Cafe now sports a series of posters for the sheep dog trials held now as an annual event. The food is good, served promptly by a friendly waitress. I recommend the breakfast burrito which is right sized for a healthy appetite! read more

In town over night after 40 years mainly to see the hotel and museum. This cafe is located in the historic Meeker Hotel, this is a real cowboy cafe. In for breakfast, I ordered the Wrangler-- biscuit and gravy with 2 eggs and bacon $ 8. Side of hash browns 2.50. Coffee or hot tea $ 1.50. Good. My Wife ordered French Toast $ 4, side of cream cheese $ .25 and bacon $ 2.50. Also good. BACK for DINNER--- Rib Eye steak , 16 oz, 18.95. Good. Country Fried Steak with mashed potatoes and vegetable medley $ 11.95. Large dinner salad $ 4.50. Good. Service was very good. Highly recommend. read more

What is it with Meeker restaurants and taxidermied dead animals staring at you while you eat? I'll confess, it's growing on me. The service is excellent, and most of the waitstaff seems to be students of Meeker High on summer break. Try the onion rings. I hear the BLAT and the chicken fried steak are good bets too. All of the chicken I've tried has been dry, so maybe try a different meat. Not great for vegetarians -- even the vegetable sides are from cans. Fantastic for the basics -- burgers, fries, etc. read more

While RVing in the area, we ate one dinner and one breakfast at the cafe. The dinner was good. I had the Tri-tip, which is available on Friday and Saturday. My husband had Salmon. The salads were fresh and I enjoyed my meal. The Salmon was a bit fishy and quite firm. Breakfast was the usual for a cafe. The coffee was good. The service was good also. The motel next to the cafe had an amazing lobby with many stuffed animals and historical pictures. It was worth the stop. Meeker has wonderful public parks. We stayed in our RV in the Town Park which has 6 electrical sites and others for boon-docking. We showered in the beautiful Recreation Center that has swimming pools, etc. The drive to Buford was beautiful. The golf at Meeker Golf Course was fun. Friendly people and nice town!! read more

This is about as good as it gets here in the small town of Meeker,CO. They serve hot, well prepared dishes- no fuss no muss. Service is good. Sandwiches are delicious! You can get in and out in about 30 minutes if you are eating alone. They don't take Amex. read more

Great atmosphere, friendly staff, overwhelming food (in the good sense). Had one of the best patty melts I've ever had here, but the burger I had the previous evening wasn't too bad either. Soup was a bit boring, but overall, the best place in town for hearty friendly eating. They even had a salad menu, but I wasn't in Meeker for what I can get here in the Bay Area :-). read more

It was meager looking when we went in, but they have a decent menu. We went on a Saturday, so the BBQ menu was available. We all had great meals but the service was a bit slow, even with only three tables. To their credit, before you're seated, the expectation is set as they have a sign posting that they are short-staffed and are doing the best they can. read more

We live in Vernal UT and rode our motorcycles to Meeker. Our destination was the Meeker Cafe. We entered through the old Hotel and spent a few minutes looking at the big game mounts. We were seated in the cafe and our waitress took our orders a few minutes later. It seemed like our food came in no time, I had the Turkey Buzzer sandwich and the other 2 had the Chicken Fried Steak. The food and service was very good. This will become a regular ride this summer! read more

If you are looking for anything freshly made, this is not the place. I ordered chicken tenders because I thought that might be hard to screw up, but they were pretty bad. The beer selection wasn't all that great. In the age of the microbrew, who doesn't have even a Colorado IPA on the list. I'm kind of partial to this place. I love the ambiance ~ it's totally wild west. Wooden floors and tables, game mounts on the wall, elk antler chandelier, stove in the corner to keep you warm, and large windows to do some people watching, Very inviting, warm and comfy. When entertaining out of town guests, this is the first place I take them. The cafe offers a menu with variety. The local favorite is the chicken fried steak, mashed potatoes and white gravy. They also serve a fantastic hamburger with fries. The rib eye is great, also. Don't go any farther than these items. You won't be disappointed. read more

Homey, American cafe with a wholesome, delicious breakfasts, lunch and dinner menu. The staff is friendly and courteous and the prices are pretty good. My husband and I enjoy breakfast there about once a week, I recommend the pancakes and the biscuits and gravy are divine. My daughter and I meet for lunch and love the French dip sandwiches with either sweet potato fries or a side salad. The decor is pleasant, reminiscent of a log cabin. Great food and service. My husband said his burger was one of the best he has ever had. My sandwich was excellent with really fresh veggies. Love the history behind the Meeker Cafe. And we love their food. It has a historical outlay which makes it fit right in to the town.

The cafe has gone through several different owners and changes over the years. Right now with the current operations I would say the pancakes are the best in town. Food is great. Service not so much!!! Rude and uninterested waitresses. Hoping the service picks up to match the good food! read more

Food is alright, service is terrible!! I was born and raised in Meeker and still live here, i've always been proud to send people to the Cafe, but after last night I won't even go back! I could have butchered the cow started a fire and cooked it myself faster! If the owners don't care enough too staff the place right then I don't care enough too spend my money there! read more
