He is very knowledgable of all things current in the comic world, knows people in the industry, has artist appearances to sign books and will happily talk to you about any comic related issue you may have. He will happily set up your pull list with discount prices for doing so. The very large inventory of current and near current books, both majors and independents, are neatly bagged and boarded on shelves. You can frequently find the last ten issues of any story available on the shelf for their cover price. While there are not boxes and boxes of back issues in the store, they will always happily track down any issue(s) you need to acquire. The store also has a good selection of "kids" comics for the young readers. Additionally, Alterniverse has a large supply of all the card games, Magic, Yu-Gi-Oh and Pokemon: decks, boosters and singles. And what comic store would be complete without the action figures and "higher end" collectables that are nicely displayed. The store has moved across the street from its former home and is very spacious. I am actually surprised not to see more comments here, as the store is invariably full of people all the time. There is a constant schedule of MAgic and Yu-Gi-Oh tournaments going all week. Frankly, I love this store and only wish I lived closer to it. It is the only place you should go if you are looking for comics in upstate NY.

Recently a dealer looked at the piece and hologram and said they believed the autograph and hologram were not good so at my own expense I sent to Beckett and it came back as not an authentic signature or hologram. The seller (Chris at Junkdrawer) would not refund stating they do not guarantee pieces over 30 days, so If you are buying anything from this seller be prepared to spend the additional time and money to verify with PSA/Beckett/JSA or be out the money you spend. He was more than happy to show us items behind the counter and you could tell that he was just happy and proud to talk about the things he's collected. He really loves what he does and it shows. The store has a bit of everything for everyone, just shelves and shelves of stuff you could spend hours looking at. I was so excited to get in there and see that they had a shelf full! I left there spending $15 with a couple hours worth of reading! I'm also not the fastest reader...... There were some good rare finds. I would've liked to spend a few more hours perusing. Though it's a small shop there was a lot to look at. Person at the desk introduced themselves to everyone and asked what they were looking for. Pointed me in the right direction. Also said that Batman issue I bought was a fantastic one off. I got it for the art. Haven't seen it before. My wife is an accountant and she complimented the joints organization compared to the places I frequent in Philly. We are here for a few more days and I may try and slip in this shop again.
