I booked two tickets for Megabus last bus on Friday night at 11:59pm to New York from Boston. The bus never arrived!!!! I waited for two and half hours with my little daughter for bus. I try calling customers service none answer. So I didn't get to go New York for the weekend so my daughter could of spent Father's day with her daughter. I am very disappointed with mega bus and the craziness thing is when I got on to customers service, I was told the they didn't see any issues with the bus and they didn't receive any complaints which I know is a big lie cause the bus was sold out. THE WORST EVER!!! Let me start by saying if you need to be somewhere on time do not consider using Megabum . I was traveling from Boston to New York and had to be at a doctors appointment by 9:30 am. I took the 3am from Boston and was supposed to arrive in NY at 7:15. During the trip the driver stopped once at a rest area then again to switch drivers. Of course the driver was not there in time so we waited 45 minutes for him to show up. I finally made it to NY by 10am and was late for my Doctors appointment. My doctor still was able squeeze me and get me out 11am. Keep in mind that I brought a round trip and was supposed to get on the 11:45 bus back to Boston. Of course this didn't happen so I tried calling Megabus but was on hold for ever. By the time that I got through they wanted to charge me a fee to switch to a later bus. Why should I have to pay a fee when it was your company's fault that I was almost three hours late. I ended using another Bus company to get home because I was so disappointed . Once I got home I contacted Megabus again and finally received an email five days latter telling me that there was nothing that they could do to compensate me . The driver decided to stop driving in th middle of the highway because she said "we all feel too hot. let's just wait until we can get a new driver. It may be a few hours." But NO ONE else was that hot. And no, was not parked on the side of the road, was parked IN THE MIDDLE OF THE ROAD. it wasn't until more than 30 minutes later that she drove us to a "safer spot," on the side of the highway. Then, another half hour goes by before she's like "okay fine we'll just keep going." Combine that with the no wifi and this is one experience I'll never go through again. Ridiculous read more

I had the WORST experience with Megabus. During a trip from Boston to New York, the bus had to stop on the highway because of a mechanical problem. After waiting on the bus for 30 minutes, the bus driver told us that we had to get off and find other means of transportation on our own. I ended up calling a Lyft which cost me $120. It's been almost 2 months since my first refund request and I have still not received it. read more

Took bus from Boston to NYC. The boarding was delayed by an hour and a half. The scheduled departure was at 6:30 PM, but the actual boarding started around 8 PM. The customer service provided absolutely no explanation as to why. Long story short, I'm on the bus right now. It's 1 AM (scheduled arrival was 11 PM). We just pulled over for the second time where the driver told us that he's done for the night, and that he doesn't know when his replacement will arrive. Some people have opted to taking the uber home from where we are. Also it took like 15 minutes to load Yelp on their terrible Wifi. Not sure when I'll get home tonight. I had a ticket scheduled on a 5:15pm bus from NYC-Boston. After waiting in 30 degree weather for 30 minutes, from 5-5:30pm, the employees said the bus was cancelled. I and several passengers asked for clarification, and they said that the bus was cancelled and we could call to try get on the 6:40pm bus, which was already sold out. I left the area to warm up, then returned at 5:45 to get more information. The employees agan said the bus was cancelled. 1 hr later, received an email claiming "late bus." This was fraudulent, irresponsabile, and honestly shockingly bad customer service. And I was already in a rental car, driving home. read more

Never, ever, EVER again. BOS to NYC: Left on time but pulled into a gas station with only 45 min left in the trip. There, our driver informed us that he would have to be relieved due to "exceeding his allowable driving time". You would think that given Megabus' expansive history and experience, they'd be able to accurately estimate projected drive times (or just know how to use Googlemaps?)... But apparently not. So we waited 45+ min in the rain for a second bus (not driver, as we had been informed) to show up. Turned out that this second bus was already almost full with passengers, who were clearly and rightfully just as annoyed as we were. We crammed onto this bus, losing the seats we had waited in line for, and sat apart from friends and family. But we actually counted ourselves lucky as another 20-30 passengers had to wait at that gas station for a THIRD (potentially even FOURTH?!) bus to show up. Others who were clearly late for flights had already called Lyfts/Ubers, which were going for $45 minimum. We eventually made it to NYC over 3 hours after our scheduled ETA. NYC to BOS: A broken AC system on a very hot summer day made this ride pretty miserable as well. Oh, and neither trip had working wifi. TL;DR: DON'T TAKE MEGABUS. read more

I'm giving it 4 stars, yes you've read that correctly! I decided to take a last minute trip to New York and as a child I had spent many summers visiting relatives around Canada on buses, I felt confident in choosing this. I took the 6 am from Boston on a Tuesday....this trip gets 2 stars, driver was ok but then we picked up a second driver who took over, liked to hit the brakes every 5 seconds and when it takes 40 minutes to drive 4 miles in New York, not fun, we also arrived 2 hours late and that was not all due to traffic, and the bathroom got very dirty for such a short trip, yuk. So yes the saying you get what you pay for does come into play to some extent; however I am currently on the 4:40 bus from New York to Boston and this trip gets 4 stars! Driver is very polite, can understand his announcements, bathroom clean and although we were in traffic leaving the city for an extra 45 minutes it wasn't unbearable. For under $20 you can a have a safe and comfortable ride! If you're an uptight person who is uncomfortable around all types of humans then maybe don't ride the bus for your travels. If you're expecting to sit and work away on your laptop with no distractions and interruptions, not likely going to happen. read more

Cons: Boston to NYC trip arrived 2.5 hours late despite the lack of traffic along the way (until we got to NYC). After the driver make a pit stop along the way, the wifi stopped working. The wifi speed was so slow anyways that I just used data instead to avoid webpages timing out when loading. The Megabus worker checking us in was quite crabby. Scrolling down, I was disappointed to see that my experience was not unique. So I type my review as a warning. I went from Boston to New York at 7:00 pm, September 30, 2016. The bus left 45 minutes late, drove through the rain, and stopped 11 miles away from Manhattan for a "Dunkin Donuts" break". That turned into an hour of waiting, because the driver said he had reached his 10 hour limit and could not drive anymore. 11 miles away. Passengers were asked to wait for a driver to arrive from New Jersey !! So we left the bus and uberpooled in, but as I exited the bus I passed the driver, who was reeking of alcohol. For a driver to drink on the job is reprehensible and highly dangerous to a large number of passengers. I have notified the company by phone and email, and I have not heard back yet. o For these 2 reasons, I cannot recommend Megabus at all, rather, I would suggest finding another bus line. read more

Avoid at all costs. All the negative reviews are real. Staff is rude, busses get switched out without notice. Mine died in the middle of nowhere, Connecticut on the journey from Boston to New York. We had to switch the bus which delayed us, which put us closer to rush hour in NY. 4 hours became 8 easily. If you value your time and sanity, choose another option. If you need cheap, try the other bus companies. Horrendous. Would only recommend for last minute buyers who have excessive free time. read more

New York to Boston, scheduled for 11:40 am 6/24. Actual departure 12:15 or so. Standing in line in hot sun, staring at air conditioned bus for 40 minutes. Frazzled, chaotic atmosphere. Beleagured employees trying to handle the crowds. On board, plastic seats that get hot. Awkward, clogged route of stop and go traffic thru the Bronx and Westchester. Stern, unhappy driver gets us to South Station around 5:20 pm, then she abruptly exits bus and passengers scramble to retrieve their luggage from the cargo hold by themselves. Bus was clean. I took a Megabus from Boston to New York, it was scheduled to depart Boston at 2:00 and arrive in NY at 6:30. However, the trip took far longer than this and at 7:30pm, when we were still an hour away from NY, the driver pulled over (for the third time during the trip). At first he didn't say anything as we all sat there wondering why we had stopped. Finally he told us that he could not drive any farther and his replacement driver never showed up so he said we were going to have to wait a full hour so he could "take a break" before resuming driving. He said he had reached out to his supervisors twice hours before to ensure they would send a replacement driver, however they still failed to do so. We all ended up splitting $70 Ubers all the way to NY so we didn't have to sit around for an hour. To make matters worse when I called Megabus to ask for a refund they told me they only issue refunds if the delay is longer that 4 HOURS. Megabus is by far the most unprofessional, unorganized, poor-excuse for a transportation service I've ever seen. This was only the second time I took a Megabus but it was also the second time I had to reach out to customer service because of some issue. read more

Went from Boston to NYC. Wifi went on and off and when it was on it was very slow. We stopped for a 10 minute "Burger King" break, which turned out to be code for "I think the bus broke down so I'm gonna call someone and distract these passengers with food." Once we were getting back on the bus, the driver notified us that he had called a mechanic to check out the brakes. We finally left after about 45 minutes. Returned to Boston from NYC. I arrive about 15 minutes early to my bus and there was a huge line. I asked what was going on and someone said they were waiting for their bus that should have been there 2 hours earlier. It was 6pm and neither the 4:10 nor 5:10 buses had arrived. Ended up waiting an hour before my bus arrived. Wifi barely worked on this trip either. read more

Megabus has REALLY gone downhill since I used to ride them years ago. Tried to take the 5:10AM bus NYC to Boston today. At 5:12AM, the onsite agent didn't know where the bus was so I called & was told it would be 1.5-2 HOURS before the bus would arrive. At 5:15AM, we got an email that the bus would be delayed 2-3 HOURS. Soon after, a bus pulled up saying "Boston" on it, but 10 minutes later changed its sign to "Baltimore." I needed to be in Boston ASAP for family reasons, so I bought a ticket on my phone for the 6:40AM bus to be sure I got on whatever bus showed up first. No other bus companies had buses leaving sooner. A bus arrived ~6:20/6:30AM, but by then passengers for the 6:40AM bus were there too. It was chaotic & things were further delayed w everyone trying to board this 1 bus. Called Megabus tonite, explained I ended up w 2 tickets due to their delay & requested a refund on 1 ticket. They refused. Best they could do was give me a partial Megabus credit for 1 of the 2 tickets. I'd use them again if they'd given me a refund for 1 ticket, but not now. Never riding them again. I'm calling my credit card company & filing a dispute. read more

Megabus, this is the last and final straw. After being fooled into your bait-and-switch dollar fares, I refuse to be forced to watch a terrible Christmas movie at full volume throughout the majority of a four-and-a-half hour ride from Boston to NYC. The driver refuses to turn the movie off or even turn volume down, much to the chagrin of myself and the many passengers around me. He refuses to change the volume setting so that those with headphones can opt to listen to the movie, while those of us who do not want to hear Reese Witherspoon and Vince Vaughan scream at each other at full volume can ride in peace. After calling the customer service number on the site, I was told by two different people that this was not in fact a customer service number, that this number was only for reservations--despite the face that, on the Megabus website, it clearly says "customer service." Of course, the number at the actual customer service department just rings and rings. I was told I may wait up to in an hour for someone to answer. You may have more buses available than Boltbus, but I'd rather book far in advance for their transportation than deal with the non-accountability of the customer service department at Megabus. read more

As a rule, I keep low expectations for most things in life, and as a result I rarely get upset when things don't shake out as planned. Nihilistic and detached? Probably, but It's not that I don't care. It's that I know better than to care, especially when it comes to bus travel. With that being said, I was pretty content with life when I crossed paths with Megabus customer service on Friday afternoon. By Friday evening, I had felt like I had been waterboarded by Ivan Drago for three consecutive hours. I "purchased" a ticket through their website at 3:00PM. I used the quotes there because they charged my credit card, but did not actually assign me a ticket, which is an interesting business strategy. I did receive an awesome error message informing me that my card had been charged but I couldn't get on the bus. First I emailed the address they provided in their kill screen. Two hours later, I grew tired of waiting, so I called the customer service number. I was told by a super cheery young lady that the number was incorrect but she sure would transfer me to someone that could help. Great job, cheery lady. From 4:45 to 5:15 I waited on hold while a disembodied voice assured me that my call was important every 30 seconds. For reasons I can't explain, this disembodied voice infuriated me to my core. At 5:17 my call was picked up!!! I heard one solitary human breath before the line went dead. Hung up on by a fat fingered employee. What a nice surprise. I immediately called back at 5:17, again reached the wrong customer service team, and was again transferred. When I explained I had just been on hold for 45 minutes and asked if she could transfer me directly to a human, she paused and said "I'm sorry sir, but I don't have that kind of technology". ORLY MEGABUS? I'm not asking to be put in contact with the Space Shuttle Atlantis, just someone who can refund my twenty five bucks. I was placed back at the end of the line and waited another 45 minutes before a much surlier customer service rep arranged my reservation through her teeth. Lady Gaga blared into my ear from her desktop radio ("Don't call my name / Don't call my name / Alejandro! ".) I was told that the bus sold out during the time I was inputting my credit card info on their website, which would make sense if this was 1997 and their site was built on Geocities. As a result, she booked me on a much earlier bus and then hung up on abruptly after giving confirmation number. Excellent. As for the bus itself, it was a cramped, cave like little enclave that was hotter than a camels nut sack but smelled much worse. I will never ride Mega Bus again, and I hope you won't either. read more

So... I have heard Megabus was in the better-category as far as all these NYC/Boston buses go. We boarded the 3pm bus from Boston back to NYC on 6-3-2013 and got back after 7pm. I've driven this in 3 hours before, and the bus from NYC to Boston took about 3hrs and 20mins or so. So... Wait a minute... Where did the extra 40 minutes come from? Oh please stick around for this. The driver not only made a wrong turn (in traffic... IN. TRAFFIC.) but he decided the best way to 7th Ave / 28th Street was to take 7th Avenue from the tippy-top of Manhattan alllllll the way down. Over a hundred blocks on 7th Avenue in rush hour traffic (!!!!!!!). Imagine that. Really sit there and imagine that. What was wrong with either the FDR or West-Side Highway? Nothing. And traffic reports said they were relatively clear at least to Holland Tunnel area. Are these guys getting paid by the hour, or was he SO interested in hearing the obnoxious Puerto-Rican lady screaming at someone on the phone about how they are a b*tch, f*g, mother-f*cker, etc that he decided to prolong the trip as much as possible? Mind you, the conversation was literally right next to my ear - so I didn't miss a beat. Aside from knowing the life story and drama of a complete stranger (she was cheating on her boyfriend with a guy she brought with her on the bus from Boston, for those interested) the bus is comfortable and has wifi if you can get it to work (I could not.) Two stars for price and comfort only. I've had much better experiences on the old Fung-Wah buses. Save yourself the trouble and go with another service. When in doubt, imagine driving from Dykman Heights down to 7th/28th. That should do it for ya. read more

Seriously people? What kind of entitled brats expect luxury service when they paid $13 for a ticket? I certainly wasn't expecting it to be as GOOD as it was. I used Megabus a lot when I studied abroad in the UK, so it was definitely my go-to when I needed a last second ticket to NYC. Round-trip cost me $26 total! Damn good deal, especially when you consider the train costs $100+. We left on time and got in about 30 min late both on the way there and the way back. They drop you off in the heart of things in NYC, which is nice. The pick up, however, is wayyy out there. If you start to question if you're going the wrong direction because you're in the middle of nowhere and closing in on water, keep going - you're headed the right way. (I should add that this is a new and temporary pick-up location - not sure how much longer they'll use that spot.) They're new, clean buses (sitting on top of the double-decker is awesome - especially because it has a glass roof). There are plugs at every seat, and it has free wifi. The seats could be more comfy, but hey - $13. Another reviewer mentioned the seats not having much lean-back clearance behind them... very true. Do your neighbor a favor and lean back a seat that doesn't have someone in a seat behind it - leg-crushing, for real. All in all: cheap, reliable, not sketchy, amenities, and CHEAP. Quit whining or pay double for a "luxury" bus. read more

I feel inclined to review Megabus because I see a whole lot of bad reviews here, but I personally had a good experience. While I was planning my trip to the East Coast, I was weighing all of my options on how to get from Boston to NYC. A bunch of my friends kept telling me to take the Megabus, but when I saw the reviews I was hesitant to do so. However, Megabus was the only bus I could find that would leave after 12 am, and it was also the most affordable option, so I booked my $29 ticket and hoped for the best. I got to the bus terminal at South Station and was happy to see that it was indoors; it was a very cold November night and I was dreading the thought of having to wait in the cold. There was someone there who was checking everyone's ticket to make sure they were supposed to be there, and then she'd allow you to go up the escalators or elevator. We found our line way at the end, and there were signs that clearly marked where we should stand because three different companies were in that back area. The only reason there was confusion was because some passengers did not read the signs or for some reason thought they should be standing in the line right next to it. PASSENGERS: just follow the darn sign! We still got on the bus just fine with no seating issues, though. I will say that about 5 minutes before our departure time, I got a text saying that the bus is now 45 minutes late. Well, that sure would have been nice to know an hour ago. I noticed our bus was coming from quite a while away, so they should have known it was going to be delayed 45 minutes a long time ago, so shame on Megabus for their poor communication. It was 2:15 in the morning, and everyone was tired. And FYI, to get the notifications, you need to sign up to do so online and you can choose to get an email or text. Aside from the terrible communication and the delay, the rest of the experience was great. The bus was clean, comfortable, had enough room for luggage, and we had absolutely no problems on the road. Now, I was sleeping the entire ride, but I woke up in NYC and had a wonderful sleep on the bus, which I think says a lot about the quality of the bus. Prior to my ride, I actually was stressing over taking the bus because of the reviews. But since so many of my friends recommended it (and some even told me the low rating was a poor reflection), I took their word for it. I'm so happy I went with this option because a $29 fare from Boston to NYC is just ridiculously cheap, and the bus was in great condition and provided an incredibly comfortable 4.5 hour trip. read more

AWFUL. I was coming up to Boston from New York. First the bus came almost an hour late to pick us up (~3:00pm for a 2:10 bus). We finally got on, and then sat there for awhile--apparently they wanted to wait to use the same bus for those scheduled on the 3:10pm trip. So the bus got completely packed as they waited another 45 minutes to take everyone they could fit on the bus. But all this was almost fine compared to the rest. Because then we pulled out of the parking space along 9th Ave., and within about 10 feet, hit a car. I was sitting in the top and center of the double decker bus, so I couldn't see what was happening after the impact, or how the accident actually happened. But we sat for another 30 minutes, without any announcement. Then all of a sudden, we started to back up. But apparently we weren't looking because we backed, quite quickly, directly into another car at full force, completing accident number two without even having left the corner of 9th and 31st. Then we sat. Cars on 9th Ave honked at us for a long time. It was 4:20pm on the 2:10pm trip when someone finally came up, told us our luggage had been transferred to another bus and that we needed to move. When we finally left, I was amazed. Not only that we had finally emerged from two accidents within 30 feet, but that our driver decided the best route out of Manhattan in rush-hour traffic was crosstown on 28th street and then *north on Madison Ave. up to 138th and the Madison Ave. Bridge, onto I-87 north*. Holy shit. We got out of Manhattan and pulled into the Bronx at 6pm, on our 2:10 bus. (Traffic on that route is still shit in the Bronx. The Queens-Midtown tunnel to I-278N would've been the reasonable thing to do...) Also irritating are their chummy announcements reminding me not to talk loudly on my cellphone, to respect my fellow passengers, to not use the front steps, to deposit all trash in trash bins, to perhaps 'rekindle the dying art of conversation with a fellow passenger instead of spending time on the internet', etc. etc. I appreciate courtesy, but I'm also not in kindergarten and don't need 10 minutes on etiquette when I get on a bus. Anyway, I hate to be so bitter, but they've always rubbed me the wrong way. I've ridden Megabus from Boston to New York several times and without fail they always disappoint me. Of all of the carriers going to New York, including Greyhound, Peter Pan, Go (World Wide), Bolt, Yo, and Lucky Star, Megabus is by far the worst. I have ridden on the Chinatown buses (Lucky Star and Fung Wah) dozens of times before they were shut down and never had experiences as bad as I did on Megabus. This line utilizes double decker buses with seats on both levels. At first, they seem shiny and glorious, but take a closer look and you will find the same average or below average interiors that the other buses offer. The wifi is always slow or not working and the outlets/recliners are a dice roll on whether or not they work. The extra seating allows Megabus to charge slightly lower prices, but don't be fooled. The extra clearance of the bus forces it to take a different route from the other bus lines. I always thought it was strange that they would take a longer route to get to New York, but I finally realized it must be because the taller bus won't fit under certain bridges on the I-95/91 highways. Also, the drive through NYC slowly snakes around and through Harlem and Manhattan for over 150 blocks! The website lists a 4.5 hour drive, but it has always taken 5-7 hours. My latest experience really pushed my opinion over the edge. The bus driver didn't decide to do a rest stop until past the 4 hour mark. He parked far away from the bathrooms in the rain. There also wasn't any food options available at this location. Most of the other bus lines will stop at a fast food restaurant or rest stop food court . The main reason for the stop though was so that he could open the emergency doors on the roof to vent the bus. The heating system had been stuck at 80 degrees. Keep in mind, it was still raining at this time. To top it all off, we had to deal with the 3 most annoying passengers I have ever met in my life. They shouted and sang for the entire ride despite being the only ones even talking. I have never met a more obnoxious or rude group in my life. read more

I'm never riding megabus again. For some reason whenever megabus leaves south station to NYC, they are ALWAYS at least 20 minutes late. This time, on a Friday at 5:30 departure, we left after the 6:00 bus left. Does that even make sense? The WiFi has never worked every time I rode their buses. Thank god their outlet still works (there's only one per double seat). Then, the driver stopped on the side of the road because the tire "was overheating." He then went into the bathroom. Professional, much? We stopped again 15 min later because the tire was overheating again and we had to wait until it cooled down. So unprofessional. The driver did nothing about the tire, like trying to call megabus to let them know about the situation. Never again. The tickets really aren't that much cheaper anyway since it drops you off in NYC as far away as possible from anything. read more

Our bus broke down NYC-BOS, 28 miles outside of NYC The problem was that they couldn't send a replacement bus (all were in service) and they were unwilling to send someone to repair it. They wouldn't provide status updates or let us know what was going on. After 3 hours I received an email stating another bus would be on the way in an hour. We ended up getting several rental cars and driving to BOS. I would not use again nor recommend due to their poor lack of planning in situations like this and poor customer service. P.S. If I could give them a 0 I would! I almost feel like giving them a 1 star is far too kind! I had an 8'oclock bus going to nyc from Boston as I arrived I could already tell it wouldn't be good. By 7:30 most buses start loading people in to leave by 8am the scheduled time. When I arrived there was no bus...! So closer to 8 am they decided to tell us what I already knew that our bus is delayed and they don't know how long it will be. I go to the customer service desk to get a refund because as the website states "where megabus fails to provide on time-reliable service for reasons wholly within our control refunds, or alternative travel arrangements, may be offered." And the rude woman lets me know that no refunds are provided because mega bus is a no refund company! Whatever the heck that means!!! So megabus basically lies and steals from you...! Once you buy a ticket regardless if you travel or not... The money is theirs! She also informed me that the latest we will leave is 9am... On the next bus. My response is... So then that means the 9am people have to take a 10am bus!? And so forth for the rest of the day? She says yes! No apologies no nothing it's basically ok to throw everyone off for an hour or more! This is not ok! Money is fine it comes and goes but a person can never recoup lost time! I will never travel on megabus again! read more

After my sad Sunday experience and consequent review on Yelp, I was contacted by Megabus' Edward and offered an apology, explanation that the station change had just gone in effect a few days earlier and best of all, a refund. I appreciate any business that does its due diligence and follows up with its customers. Based on the great customer service represented by Edward, I'd be willing to give Megabus another try. read more

Why is it the two times I've taken this bus it's taken me between 5-5.5hrs from Boston to New York? If I hop on any other bus it's taken me no more than 4.5hrs even with traffic. Megabus takes a shitty route and drives through Harlem for an hour before getting to our final destination. Speaking of, the drop-off is in the middle of town, the most touristy part of the city and an area I usually avoid. The seats are really uncomfortable and the crowd can pretty annoying and elitist. The power outlets is a nice touch and it can feel a little safer than others, but I will never get back those wasted hours and this backache sucks. I usually fly into NY and am new to getting in by bus and you will never see me on MegaBus again. I ended up forfeiting my return trip with them and hopped on the Fung Wah. Damn awful. read more

Please do yourself a favor and avoid megabus. I had a 815 am trip to dc and the bus is over an hour late! I understand maybe 20 minutes or so, but this is unacceptable. Everyone waiting for this bus has been uncomfortably crouching on the floor for the past hour something, while the bus next to us has efficiently loaded and sent off 2 buses! The market for cheap buses has expanded greatly now, and you have tons of dirt cheap bus fares to find elsewhere. I am definitely going with Fung wah, lucky star, or bolt bus next time! many of the alternatives also offer dollar fares too! Since I know that extremely delayed buses are not an uncommon occurrence with Megabus, I'm assuming they have gotten a little big headed and are slacking off in their business and service to their customers. So go have a better experience somewhere else! read more

Mega-Fail! (I stole that from another review) I attempted to take the mega bus to NYC on a sat. morning at 7am. I got there at about 6:50, and went into the bus line. Myself and several others were turned away for not having tickets (fair enough) and told to go to the customer service booth... were there was nobody working! I went back to the bus which was about half full, and asked if i could buy a ticket w/ he driver as there was nobody at the counter and was told "no". I stood a the counter until 7:10 (the time that the 7am bus departed) without anyone showing up, I explained the situation to the driver who refused to let me board w/o a ticket, sell me a ticket, or let my buy a ticket in NYC...... FAIL! Interesting business strategy.. turn away people who want to ride the bus, when the bus is half full (or half empty) Megasuck. I'm stickin' to the Fung Wah ! read more
