Its been nearly a year since our elopement in Central Park in September of 2022 that Megan and Kenneth captured. I've wanted to write a review for a while, but I purchase a highlights reel without my wife knowing and surprised her with it the following Valentines Day in 2023. I didn't want to write a review until I gave her the video in case she saw the review, and since then, I've procrastinated. But here goes. They are perfect. Use them. Don't bother looking elsewhere, it isn't worth your time. Just book them now. My wife and I researched a number of photographers. We were looking for a specific price point with some flexibility on locations and a knowledgeable photographer team who would have some suggestions of their own. We looked through an inordinate number of instagram pages and websites, and settled on a few possibilities, but none of them made us feel as comfortable as Megan and Kenneth. Following an initial consult, we were certain we made the right choice. They were warm, friendly, enthusiastic to help us, and very helpful with timing and suggestions. We completed a detailed questionnaire, and they provide a suggested final "map" from our first look at Bryant Park to our location in Central Park, and when the weather and crowds in Bryant Park were uncooperative, they had a perfect near-by suggestion at the NY Public Library. All of their suggested locations were beautifully located. I feel bad for not remembering the name of the third person who came to help - 3 were necessary due to the video highlight reel - but they were wonderful as well. The 3 of them took an amazing set of photos and got them back to us within days - which was not expected but they just wanted to get it done for us. Even the video was completed weeks earlier than expected. And while the photos were wonderful, the video has made everyone cry when they see it, including me. My mother, my wife, her mother and sister, everyone cries. It was beautifully done and worth every penny. Thank god for digital products because if that was a DVD or VHS (heaven forbid), I would have already worn down the recording. The fact is that Megan and Kenneth are reasonably priced and produce high quality photos and videos. They are helpful, diligent, knowledgeable about their craft, creative, and most of all, warm and friendly. If we ever have another event in NYC and need it photographed, there is no one else we would turn to. Thank you both for all you did for us. read more

We truly truly loved working with Megan & Kenneth so much. I spent hours and hours poring over portfolios and chatting with photographers for our wedding, but from the initial consult with Megan we were hooked. I am very comfortable with photography and was interested in doing some fun, creative things, but my husband is not. I immediately knew from the perspective they shared with me on the phone call that they'd be able to break my hubby out of his shell, and after our engagement shoot with them, he actually said "wow, that was a lot of fun!" As you can see from our wedding photos, they got us in our truest and most natural habitat, by capturing us as candidly as possible and also occasionally gently guiding us into some natural poses that suited us as a couple. Oh, and they're so responsive and helpful with anything else you may need. Originally when we got engaged I was so excited to wear a typical bridal dress for my wedding and hve beautiful photos taken-- well...things didn't go as planned and we ended up finding out we were pregnant and that we would be 8 months pregnant by the time of our wedding date! We ended up deciding to get married in civil court on 11/30/18 and hired Brooklyn Wedding Photography to document it as well as take our "wedding" photos. We couldn't have made a better choice with our photography team. I attached some of our wedding photos just so you all would be able to see the type of quality to expect. Megan from Brooklyn Wedding Photography was our photographer and she was an absolute angel to work with. I was beginning to show when we had the photos done and was incredibly insecure regarding how I looked. Normally I am quite shy in front of the camera and it's difficult for me to pose or find my angles however Megan gently directed me into poses that fit best with whatever lighting and scenery we were dealing with. As our wedding anniversary is coming up I keep looking at our wedding photos with fond memories. I plan on us having a more traditional ceremony in a few years when our son is a bit older and will definitely hire Brooklyn Wedding Photo again for their services. There aren't enough words to describe how much of a dream it was to work with Megan & Kenneth. We are obsessed with our wedding photos and engagement photos. From the moment we met them, they put us at ease. Both of us can be awkward at taking pictures, but they instantly made us comfortable and made it fun to take pictures. We're not sure how we got so lucky as to be connected with Megan and Kenneth. From the beginning till the end of the process they were friendly, fun and professional. They talked us through everything from engagement photo shoot to making shot lists for the day of and helping to arrange first look details and timeline, etc. In addition to being so happy to work with such smart and kind people, we couldn't be more impressed with their photos and videography. They really understood us as people and that comes through in all of our photos and in our video. These are pictures we will look at for a lifetime. Megan and Kenneth did an Engagement Photoshoot with me and my husband. I was nervous yet excited because this was my first time having professional photos taken. I wasn't sure what to expect but I knew it would be so worthwhile. Starting with the first and most important step of booking a photographer - the communication leading into it. Megan was so friendly, approachable, flexible and more than helpful. She even shared resources with me that she found helpful from her own wedding and experiences. Connecting with them feels like connecting with really great, long-time friends. They are so proactive that it really helps when you're so stressed about wedding planning as is. We met for an early morning photoshoot in Brooklyn and I am so glad I trusted their judgement on the timing and location suggestions! The normally busy spots were fairly empty and made for such great pictures! Megan and Kenneth are a power couple when it comes to taking the photos - they definitely know what they're doing and how to achieve specific creative results. All we had to do was pose, follow their fun ideas during the shoot, and essentially enjoy being a couple while they did their magic behind the cameras. Megan and Kenneth were incredible in every sense of the word. From the very first time we spoke I knew they had a true passion for photography and photographing other people's special moments. After taking one look at their website I knew they were the right ones to photograph our wedding. They were able to capture the love that my husband and I felt for each other that day and the love of our family and friends. They were not just taking wedding photos, they were capturing moments. They were also a pleasure to work with. They were so excited while we were taking photos during the engagement session and the wedding. They did not stop until they got the exact shot they were looking for. They would move us an inch this way or a foot that way just to have the beam of light hit us in exactly the right spot to make the most spectacular photo. Megan would take a photo, look at it in her camera window, her face would light up, and then she would be like, "guys, you have to see this, it is amazing". That kind of genuine excitement about what she was doing is rare. The care and passion they bring to their photography is evident in the quality that comes through in the final product. We also had them do our wedding video and it was better than I could have expected. They humored us and did interviews with some of our family members and then integrated those into the video which made the video even more personal and special. They also embraced the fact that we got married in the middle of Manhattan at the Bryant Park Grill. We did our first look right in front of the restaurant per Megan and Kenneth suggestion which was incredible since it had the greenery from the ivy on the restaurant wall. They had us walk across a crosswalk in the middle of traffic just to get that special photo with NYC taxis in the background. We got some incredible architectural shots at the New York Public Library and then had some whimsical ones on the carousel at Bryant Park. These were some of the more special moments from the day. My husband and I got to be alone with just Megan and although she was their taking our pictures and giving us hints and tips the whole time to help us get the best photos, it was almost like she wasn't there or she was just a friend who was tagging along. Just holy wow, wow, wow. We couldn't be more obsessed with our photos, not to mention the fact they came 3 days after the wedding (!!!).
