These kinds of situations are very frustrating when we have to coordinate time off work and pick up our children from day care, only to reschedule. Their phone system is quite unnerving too because you will call and be in the queue, 4th in line. Wait 15 minutes and then it will hang up on you suddenly (or a receptionist hung up), so your only option is to call back and sit in the queue all over again. Secretaries that work here can sometimes be rude but can also be great -- really hit or miss. The only reason we put up with the place is because Huntsville is limited and the actual medical staff is excellent. I can say without a doubt, the nurses and doctors here are wonderful. We have used Dr. Powell for a couple years now and she is very professional, easy to talk to. Anything we need, she is there. She loves our kids and always seems excited to see us. Also her nurse, Sabrina, is way above and beyond! We use her exclusively for when our boys need shots because she is always very calm and professional. We couldn't be happier with them. We just want the business itself to improve.

So when t became my time for a yearly physical it really was a no brainer for me! Moving up here from Houston we are having to switch all our doctors, dentist, everything. I am happy that we have found our new PCP (doctors). They are pretty prompt and very efficient the nursing staff is personable and Dr Obrien is down to earth, listens and really takes the chance to get to know you... you are a person and she does not rush to move you through like cattle!

How we I was told so many good things about Dr. Suhendra and i had to choose her. When we had our first appointment, she was so calming and reassuring and it was everything that we needed at that point as new parents. I just recently went to my 4mos appt with my baby, and as always her staff is very professional and courteous. She is always able to answer all of my questions with complete answers and with clarity. I have recommended friends to her and I will continue to recommend others that ask!

Called to schedule an appointment for newborn. On the phone, they ask insurance type which I provided. Appointment scheduled over the phone and I receive a text stating that I need to submit a copy of the insurance which I do. Appointment confirmed via text. I arrived at the office and they asked if I was paying out of pocket. I said I provided it via text. They said, "we sent you a text stating that we don't accept that insurance." I'm looking at the text, no text ever sent. I said they did not. They also asked me over the phone what insurance my newborn had, and proceeded to schedule the appointment. If I was out-of-network, wouldn't you have told me then on the phone and not went ahead and scheduled the appointment. Being out-of-network seems rather important. Why would you send something like that over a text message? That seems like something warranting a call (especially considering you shouldn't have booked the appt initially). But front office doesn't do that because they're rude and lazy. As I'm walking out the door and looking at the text messages between the office and myself, the front office girl then back talks and says, "oh we definitely sent a text." Avoid the lazy, incompetent front office they have employed.

Dr Kelly Sullivan is HORRIBLE. If this review was based on her services this would be a zero star review. She never pays attention to what you have to say, she will breeze in and out on newborns too. She will assume you know a lot about raising kids and when to get them to the doctor. She has horrible patient care. Refused to give my child a flu test upon request and a week later we all got the flu and tested positive at the urgent care. Unfortunately our child was too late for the window of medication and simply had to suck it up. The reason for 4 stars: Dr Schams- he is the absolute best. He answers all your questions, concerns and will make sure your child is well cared for. Dr. Parr: we often see him on weekend hours and he is also pretty good! Nurse practitioner Jane Riley is fantastic! Lactation consultant is on site (Pam) who is simply amazing. Dr Goen: she is very vested in patient care, explains everything in depth and provides you all options upon talking to her. So yes, anyone stuck with Dr Sullivan really doesn't know how the pediatrician world works when you have great doctors. You MUST have the ability to be nice to parents and learn to be patient with them. Kids don't go home and take their medicines, parents have to learn the pros and cons of a child's sickness. So being nice just to your baby and breezing past the "stupid parents" won't get you a score Kelly!

She has a genuine passion for children and perfect bedside manner that puts them completely at ease. Our kids actually look forward to their appointments with her. Her medical knowledge is impressive across a wide range of pediatric issues. We have seen her for everything from routine wellness checks to more complex concerns, and she consistently demonstrates expertise and sound judgment. She takes the time to clearly explain diagnoses and treatment options to parents. Dr. Hathaway genuinely cares about her patients as individuals. They always pick up the phone, and they are also quick to respond on the patient portal, Appointments are usually not difficult to come by (even if you might need one the same day). The entire team of nurses and staff are all personable and highly professional. They have several physicians, so it's best to read the doctors' bios and request the one who resonates best with you/your kiddo(s). We personally LOVE Dr. Hathaway. She is so sweet, friendly, and has a great rapport with our little one. She is straightforward but also empathic & relatable. She is attentive & always listens to us and explains things thoroughly. Pro-vaccine, but conservative & never pushy with medication. We never feel rushed, and we don't wait long to see her either. There is plenty of parking, the lobby is spacious, and the facility is very clean & well-maintained. We have absolutely no complaints and have always felt so well taken care of here. This office sets the bar high for amazing & reliable medical service.
