Megan Racing produces a wide range of automotive products. However, this review only covers my experience with one of their signature suspension components: the EZ Street coil-overs (blue series). I'm a sucker for customs, lowriders and "stanced" cars in general. As a key part of the "build" project I had scheduled for my daily driver (a 2000 Infiniti i30), I decided to purchase a set of these coil-overs in spring of 2013. Right off the box, my initial impression was positive: a very well-built product, all for a very reasonable price (I paid about $900 in 2013). My set was made for a 2000 Nissan Maxima, so it was a direct bolt-on since the i30 is built on the same "A33" platform. Zero drama for the shop I had hired to install them. Sure, I had to adjust and learn to drive a lowered car, but these things ride pretty smooth. And no more body roll when hitting corners. Fast forward 2021... I still daily drive my faithful i30, slammed on the same set of EZ Street coil-overs! Talk about durability! That's 8 years (or 100,000 miles) worth of hard driving, commuting on the mean streets and freeways of LA. I never had a single issue with them. Sure, nowadays they sometimes squeak a bit at low speeds on rough pavement, but only under certain conditions (low outdoor temperature combined with high humidity, it seems). Well done, Megan Racing! After making my online purchase I got an email canceling my order saying item was out of stock after they told me they had it. I now have to wait 3 to five days for my money to be returned to my credit card. So yeah, I was planning on buy coil overs etc. for my Subaru. now I am going to pay a little more with another company that would never inconvenience a new customer in this way. So yeah beware. Have a five finger wheel gap? Need to get a little bit lower and have some stiffer suspension? Well Megan Racing is the place to go! I had a 9thgen Corolla and got my springs here. 2" drop all around. After it was dropped, I had a headache for about a week whenever I drove because I felt every bump and rock on the road. But that certainly went away and I loved the look and the feel of it when I was driving. Fast forward 12 years and I sold that Corolla and got an 11thgen Corolla S. And it did take me over a year to drop the car, but I'm glad I did. That 5 finger wheel gap was killing me! It definitely looks a lot better! I don't even want to switch out the stock rims right now, since it looks so clean. I know someone below said something about a clunk sound.. But I don't hear it. I've been driving on the springs since October 2016. Transaction was smooth and quick. Just stopped by, told them what I needed, paid, went to the back to pick it up, and BAM! I had my springs. Came here to a super friendly environment to pick up some Perforfance Springs for a buddy. Everyone was super nice. My second visit I came to get some bolts. Again, super friendly. I arrived just before closing and they ran to the warehouse to get my parts. Im really hoping they pick my car to do some R & D for some piping and exhaust. Fingers crossed. The entrance is kind of strange. They need to put a sign that says "come on in." At first I thought you needed a key code to get through. I debated on calling them to tell them I was outside. But when I started feeling nosey I looked in the little window and saw the combination office cubicles and customer waiting area, I gave the door handle a wiggle. Yup it opened. I gave mt name and the guy knew right away what I wanted. I paid my invoice, then pulled around the back to pick up my parts. They loaded them into my car and on my way I went. So listen closely. Do not tell Waze to bring you here. Waze has no clue where to take you and will bring you to the old address. Bad Waze!! I am a fan. My buddy and Team Topac are fans too. Ordered a Megan racing axle back exhaust and for some reason they decided to have a silencer installed already in the exhaust which is stupid ! It should be an option to have it or not. Anyways I had the exhaust installed on my car and then tried removing the silencer and was only able to remove one while the other one has been a pain in the ass. Spent 2 hours and still nothing !! At this point my hands are in extreme pain ! If I knew that there will be a stupid silencer , I would've never spent my money on it! This is the worst company to deal with - their products are garbage, the customer service is terrible, and the documentation that comes with the products is inaccurate, misleading and uninformative. I purchased coilovers and had a shock blow out in under a year. After a local shop looked at them, indicated they were installed properly, Megan denied the warranty and refused to replace the shock. They indicated the pre-load was set incorrectly, but the documentation indicated DO NOT TOUCH the pre-load, it is set properly from the factory. They don't care about the consumer, they just want your money. After I was rejected, I attempted to purchase a replacement for $135.00. Then they informed me they were out of stock, and ordering a new one would be an ADDITIONAL $80 to ship it - who charges $80 for 2 week shipping for a single shock? Save your money for a better product, and a better company. The quality is complete garbage, and good luck if you need customer service! I had to call the shop where I purchased, call Megan several times, and repeatedly email them to even get the company to respond to my inquiry. I emailed the company regarding ordering a replacement part to a coilover set and they were helpful and responsive for the first few emails. After this, they recommend I call them and gave me the number to contact their sales rep. I called the sales rep and gave him my info and time after time again he said he would get back to me and let me know if the part I needed was in stock or not, yet he never did. I called a few more times and emails over the course of a few weeks but the company does not respond to me emails anymore and is unhelpful with their product and customer service. I had ordered some Coilovers from them back in May. Everything was fine until I wore in the Coilovers and one of them started creaking and cracking and was problematic because of a manufacture defect. I first got in contact with them about the issue and they told me to fill out a firm and send a few pictures which I did. After that they flat out refused to respond to me until I begged the website i bought them from to contact Megan racing and they finally came back a month later and said that they didn't receive my email. I sent multiple emails trying to get a response and they just were lazy. After this they kept hassling me about what the problem is and not wanting to be responsible for the product. After constant emails and me breaking it down how this is their fault, they finally decided to send me a replacement piece of the part. Not even the whole thing that was broken. When they decided this, they also told me call this number when you have the coilover off the car and I'll walk you through the install. Not even instructions or anything. I have to be pestered by them some more and do the repair during their working hours while I also have a job to and the hours will never line up. Also they forgot to put my apartment number on the address so the part got lost for almost a week and they failed to take responsibility even for a simple mistake. I haven't even gotten the part yet and I'm furious I ever bought them from them. They've been the must arrogant and difficult people to work with, especially Brian on the support team. Absolutely useless. DO NOT BUY MEGAN RACING CAR PARTS. If they fail, as I've read multiple reviews it's more than likely, you will not be able to get the replacement you need or even be able to get in contact with them. Avoid at all cost. read more

I recently bought coilovers and had to deal with them first by email, which they just stopped responding, after several days I sent a follow up and they never responded to that either. Then I wrote a letter telling them how dissapointed I was with the customer service and that they just stopped responding to me and I still never heard back from them. I was mailed the wrong coilovers and had to eat the shipping charges to correct the issue. I've been waiting for over 2 months for a call back from Paul over a blown coilover piston replacement for my b13 SE-R in that I was suppose to receive as soon as they came in, I left my information and email. I was originally told I would have to wait until the end of the month because they where on backorder, I call 2 months later to hear what excuse I was going to get and I am told to leave my information/message because he is on another call and of course I never get a call back. So let me start with i took everything off my car that was Megan racing!!!! There builds are not the worst I've seen but they definitely know where they can cut corners and get away with it. For a backyard car with a low budget you will be fine, if you ever receive your stuff.... Call them on the phone and they will promise you the world. Then lose the item, blame it on the Vagas warehouse or whatever gets them off the phone with you. They have it worked out with a few ebay sellers to sell it cheap so it looks. Thats why on there site it looks expensive like a REAL racing company. Far from it there biggest corner they cut is customer service and relation. That runs them into a wall Dale Earnhardt style. I would be very careful with this company especially with there warranty. If they can't get something shipped without it being misplaced or lost 4 times in 10 days then you might not ever get there warranty to go through. Most recently, I purchased a OE-RS, system for my 350z. The product is immaculate. Perfect welds all around, everything lines up correctly and customer service has been excellent.
