My husband installed rear brake pads on my car yesterday. After watching YouTube videos, he determined that he needed a specific tool that he doesn't have. He went to O'Reilly Auto Parts. The guy who helped him (Chris) told him that the tool would cost $26.99. He really didn't want to purchase this tool, since he won't have to use it again for years. Chris told him that he could rent tools at NO COST for 48 hours! They charged his credit card $59.99 and immediately issued a credit when he returned the tools. Wow! That is amazing customer service! I had bought front CV axles from O'Reilly's website (oreillyauto.com) and had them sent to my house. When they arrived, not only were they the wrong axles (I bought rear CV axles, my fault), they had also sent a USED pair! Frustrated, I called this location about the situation and Chris (the AWESOME person mentioned in all these reviews) not only helped me to get the CORRECT CV axle, he reassured me that the online promotion I had used on the website ($50 off $150+ in parts) would still apply. I went to this location because their website said they had a part here. Turns out it had to be ordered and would be there next day 7am. I paid for it and showed up the next day and it was an easy process. Ended up being more expensive to get the part from O'Reilly than elsewhere. O'Reilly did what the big box stores couldn't do for me. I had to get chains for a rental car. I knew that I would be heading to the mountains of Oregon and Washington during the snowy season. There would be a remote chance that chains would be mandatory even with a AWD vehicle. I didn't want to chance it and be charged double if I needed chains for the car. So, I went into this O'Reilly, I told them what I needed, and asked them for their return policy if I didn't need it. They told me that they had what I wanted and that returns were easy, especially if I signed up for with for their club card. I bought the chains that I needed. I signed up for their club card as instructed. I came back three weeks later with the chains unopened and was able to return them. I had my receipt but, since I signed up for the "card", I didn't need it. It was easy. The person helping me was nice and friendly. He even told me that he did the same for his daughter when she needed "chains" for her rental car. The nice friendly service makes me want to come back when I have other auto related things that I need to buy. read more

Went in to buy a front license plate bracket and no one was in the store, manager Juan Jr and another associate were gossiping at the counter. I interrupted to ask where the brackets were. The young Associate pointed to the license plate frame and I told him these are frames not brackets then the manager yells out hind the counter "you have to go to the dealer for that" neither one of them attempted to look for the bracket I then proceeded to look through all the frames until I found two different brackets I went to the counter to pay for my bracket and told the manager "thanks for not helping" terrible customer service here, take your business to AutoZone read more

I haven't changed my wiper blades since I got my car and I noticed that when it rains, the left side window is blurry. I came here to scoop some new wiper blades as I was close by. We were immediately greeted by Jason from the front. He was very friendly and warm so I gravitated towards him. He inquired as to what we needed help with. He explained the different brands they carried and I asked him to just picked the one he liked because I trusted him. After paying, we walked outside and even though it was sprinkling, Jason took the time to change the wiper blades for me. I was so blown away by his thoughtfulness and helpfulness. Clearly, I did not know how to change the blades and it would have probably taken me an hour to do it. Jason preformed the task in less than 5 minutes. Through process of Elimination we figured out what the problem was ...it was me changing the high beam bulb !!! No star for O'Reilly. Been a loyal customer for years until a $387 vacuum pump for brake booster failed twice in 2 months and they refused to honor their warranty. O'Reilly demanded that I tow my vehicle to dealer and have the the dealer diagnose the issue before the part manufacture will honor the warranty. Apparently they use an outside manufacture. So my vehicle is without brakes, it would cost $200 to tow the vehicle plus pay the dealers labor rate before they would warranty the defective part. Lousy customer service and selling defective parts. The manager doesn't return phone calls and no refund or exchange. I guess their warranty paper is about as useless as toilet paper. read more

I normally go to this store since it's smaller, has what I need, and the staff is really friendly and helpful. Always a pleasant experience. That's until I met Wallace, an older man with glasses. He was helping another customer and was constantly selling other products to him with is numerous sales pitch. Wouldn't be surprised if he tried to sell him a car to use all those products on. Then came my turn. I ended up needing a car battery and he suggested I buy the most expensive because it came with a longer warranty. I decided against it and when it came to pay, he asked if I wanted anti-corrosion terminal rings for the battery, saying "It's only $2". I wanted it so whatevers. 1 star because there is a guy named Ray with a beard and glasses and he's very rude on returns. I told him I wanted to return some light bulbs I bought yesterday but I didn't have a receipt and he told me I needed a receipt but I knew I didn't because I knew I went to another Oreillys the day before and they told me I didn't need a receipt to return because I am a member with them.
