Ryett was very…read morewelcoming, yet the shop looked very disorganized and there weren't any other people (customers or staff) the entire time, Ryett's procedure was very different from what I've ever experienced, however,I thought maybe it was an "Idaho thing", until my nails started loosening and a couple fell off. At the end when she said the charge was $50 I was taken back and asked why so high as it was more than I've ever paid for a fill and I've had them well over 30 yrs. Ryett said it was because she doesn't normally do acrylic and doesn't like doing them,,,, Needless to say I won't be going back!

I wound up with half my hair cut off. Not what I asked for. Then she acted like she did me a favor. I went 4 years once without a trim, they barely took 2 inches off. This lady hacked off more than 6 inches and I had gone a few months without a trim. Then after she hacked off my hair she tried to tell me it was for the best. Pretty devastated. Nothing to do pay her and go on with life and I was in shock. "Fixing" it would mean losing more length, so I am stuck in a bun until it grows out enough that I can afford losing some length to make it more flattering. Really crappy considering I am having a whole bunch life events and professional head shots taken and now I won't even look like myself in the photos. Definitely buyer beware on this one.

Also, I have never had the opportunity to visit the Rustic Pear Salon but there is a stylist there, Kara Larson, who is so amazing that I just had to post this review to gush about her!!! The Rustic Pear Salon may be incredible but my five stars are for Kara. As they say in life, you need a good doctor, good mechanic and of course a great hair dresser....well that is Kara! She is a sweet soul who has a flair for hair! When I moved to Salt Lake City 6 years ago I found Kara. She did a wonderful job with my color, adding high and low lights to my hair. She was always willing to play with color changes, but only doing what you want! She cut and styled my hair so perfect that since she moved a year ago, I am still looking to find a replacement.....I now believe, she is irreplaceable. Kara is so talented and so amazing at what she does that I believe my only real option is to drive from Salt Lake to Twin Falls to have her do my hair!

The reason I rate a three is because what the salon offers as a pedicure, is not what I expect from a pedicure. They do not have the professional foot-baths and do not scrub and/or massage your feet. They only use a plastic tub and solution, then trim and paint your nails. So, if you are looking for what I like to call 'the summertime sandal makeover', I'd suggest making an appointment somewhere else.
