As part of my research into buying my first guitar - I came in and talked with a very nice young man - I believe his name was Noah. He answered all of my questions and I was leaning toward buying an Epiphone acoustic guitar at the time. Noah also gave me a tour - there is a whole other level downstairs! There must have been some 20 private music lesson rooms, and then down this back hallway - a large room for jam sessions/open mic night on Friday nights. Based on the service I received from Noah - I like Contemporary Music Service. The place is bright, well laid out, clean, and energizing. I am sure I will be back to check out accessories and lessons once I get going with the guitar I did select.

My good friend and I went into this local music shop for a simple procedure: he wanted the nut and…read morebridge replaced on his acoustic with bone rather than the onboard plastic. This SHOULD have taken an hour or two tops, maybe a day if they were very busy. However, this store kept his guitar for over three weeks (after saying it would be a "couple days, tops"), and when he got it back, nearly nothing had been done. The bridge and nut remain the same, and the guitar's finish has fingerprints all over it. They then charged him $40 to get his guitar back, which basically amounted to a string change. I find this completely unacceptable, and I will never ever give them any business ever again. I had a similar operation done to my acoustic at Guitar Center, and it took less than two hours. I urge all of you to boycott this shop as they're incapable of following through on a very simple request, even after multiple calls over the course of 3 weeks for this "couple days, tops" work. When you book, you have an initial consultation with someone from their team who asks thoughtful questions about your style and preferences, and then they match you with DJs based on your vision. That's how we were paired with Andrew. Their communication and planning tools were fantastic. They provide an online portal where you and your DJ can both input and update everything from song requests to timeline details. I had several follow-up calls with Andrew to make sure he really understood our vibe -- and on the day of, the energy and music were absolutely perfect. The ceremony went off without a hitch, and once the dancing started, Andrew really shined. His transitions, timing, and song selections for the dance party were spot-on -- the exact fun, high-energy vibe we were hoping for. Our guests were raving about how much fun they had, and the dance floor stayed full the entire time. There were a couple of minor hiccups -- our ceremony ran long, and Andrew needed about an hour to reset for the reception (which we knew beforehand but did not account for), so there was a short delay outdoors in the heat. And there were a few moments of uncertainty for what was happening next -- but honestly, those were small things that only I or the planner would have noticed. From a guest perspective, everything was seamless. Andrew made up for it 100% once the party started, and we couldn't have been happier with how the night ended. If you're looking for a professional, well-trained DJ team with great tools and even better music -- I highly recommend Black Tie Entertainment. They helped bring our wedding to life.
