This was just awful. I ordered the Voodoo Egg Roll and couldn't figure out why it was so putrid until I found some hidden tiny crawfish and smelled one. It was definitely the source. The rest of the roll was still just so heavy and came with a mayo-based dip instead of the sweet chili sauce that's on the menu. Then the Burning Salmon Roll was nothing like described -- it's supposed to have spicy tuna, crunchy and snow crab inside. It had zero crunchy and about 5% spicy tuna to 95% snow crab. The menu says it has salmon, avocado, jalapeño, ponzu sauce, eel sauce, scallions and sesame seeds on top. It had 1 ultra thin slice of avocado in the middle and zero sauce (neither ponzu nor eel), no scallions nor sesame seeds. That's just shameful. I didn't eat any of it. read more

Had lunch there this week, and the service and food were awesome. Our server Ploy was amazingly funny and very helpful with menu selections. Ploy is an asset to Megumi 21, and made our visit a memorable one. read more

This is the second time I have given this place a shot. The first time our table was completely forgotten about. This time was worse: I ordered the meatball skewers & they tasted rancid. My boyfriend ordered two rolls which never showed up. After a half hour, we inquired about where our rolls were. We did not receive an apology about the mishap just an "what did you order"? Once the rolls finally arrived, one of them was completely soggy. We had to wait another 20 minutes for the waiter to come by again to ask us if we were finished. One of the worst experiences I've had at any dining establishment ever. I left with a bad stomachache so needless to say I will never go here again. read more

Not the first time I've come here and had bad service. We ordered an appetizer as soon as we got our drinks. First roll comes out a good 15 minutes before the remainder of order. When inquired about the appetizer our waitress told us she forgot to put it in. Had to wait forever on drink refills. Another server ended up bringing the rest of our food, to go boxes, and check. Never saw our server again until after we had paid. Won't be back for a while. So disappointing. read more

We waited over an hour for our food. Our youngest child's meal was last to come out. The waiter failed to put our order in at first, then brought some of our order to another table, and then made a comment that he "yelled at the foreign people in the kitchen" to get our order out. He was completely disorganized and not on top of things at all. He kept coming out to ask us what we were waiting for. This is so disappointing since we would love a good local sushi place. But the tables are small, the plates are ridiculously large to accommodate a single file row of sushi 2 feet long (freaking why?!), the servers never clear the table of used plates and it's maddening. Some of the rolls are the size of your fist, which is preposterous. Overall they DO NOT have their act together. My husband went inside to speak with a manager and no manager was on site. We will NOT be eating or ordering from here again. I would give NO stars but it's not an option. read more

Food was good. Service was ok. I tired to order off the kids menu for my 12 yr old daughter and the waitress said the manager wouldn't allow her to order off the kids menu because she was too old. In my opinion this is not a good way to treat customers, especially first time customers. The competition is too great, we should be giving our customers more than what is expected not less. Husband and I went for lunch @ 1:30, first and last time. They close at 2:15 and reopen at 5:00. You would think there was a fire expecting to happen as the staff was in a hurry to get us out. We sat down and was given only one lunch menu and 30 seconds later another server came over and asked if we were ready to order. "No, we just sat down and was given only one lunch men". 2nd menu came. I ordered chicken and veg. tempura. I was served "Shrimp" and veg. tempura. The tempura batter was not cooked long enough and was gooey on the inside. I asked for ice tea with lemon, no lemon and had to ask for that. My husband ordered the beef teriyaki and did not like it either. Like I said, "First and LAST TIME". I do not give second chances when the service is bad. If it were just the food I may consider another try. But, I cannot tolerate poor service. There is absolutely no excuse for that! read more
