On a Thursday night I walked in and was the only one there. That should have been a sign. The ambiance was really weird. No music, overly bright lights. I was handed serval menus, all of which were very sticky. I ordered two rolls. One was fine, the other was not what I ordered. I asked my server and it turns out that apparently I ordered from the wrong menu, or at least the one that the sushi chefs weren't familiar with. Anyway, before I could even have a chance to order a different roll, a very large cockroach crawled across the floor by my feet. The server was embarrassed and got a broom and removed it, but that was enough for me. Tabbed out, left. Feel bad because I think the staff is nice, but I'd be shocked if this place wasn't shut down by the health department. read more

WOW! We got really surprised. We came on a quiet night and had our doubts at first. I've lived in Japan and had high expectations. Eldo was our hibachi chef and we laughed the whole time. The food was amazing and portions were HUGE. We're definitely going back. read more

The food was great and large portions. Loved the flavor of the rice and noodles. There was a nice mix of vegetables. The steak could have had a better sear and not super tender. Food - a basic roll is always a good indicator to the food and quality you can expect. rice to tuna ratio was sad compared to my normal go-to place. Rice had so much rice vinegar you could not taste the fish. Was also more expensive than most tuna rolls at other places. Hibachi was simple and decent. All around expensive for ehat you get. Menu- does not state what fish you get for any of the sushi or sashimi mixes for the big orders. Waitress did not know either and waved it off as "its sashimi, its fish" and that was the end of it. read more

What an horrible experience . Went in to get a to go order and it took over 45 minutes to get 4 rolls that were average at best. The service was bad and the inside looked gross. Hibachi dinner was great! Large quantities and just right seasonings. We all had the Chicken. Plenty of left overs. Chef was friendly, and dressed professionally. Although servers/staff were attentive, suggest they wear similar uniforms rather than all wearing gym sweatshirts/sweatpants. read more

Last night we ordered sushi from Misaki (located where Dakota's used to be). Everything was so fresh and delicious! We had sushi, sashimi, salad and baked salmon. We highly recommend them and hope people will give them a try. . They also have hibachi for those who enjoy it! read more

We dined at Misaki for Easter and the staff and sushi chef were very accommodating. The sushi, sashimi and tempura were all delicious! The fried cheesecake for dessert wasn't my cup of tea, but my son loved it! We will definitely be going back again. read more

We have ordered from here a couple of times, it was good until we found worms in our tuna. My husband has been an angler all of his life and was a charter fisherman. When he says there's worms there is worms. This will be the last time we order from this restaurant. Our hotel concierge referred 3 restaurants to us. This was the first we tried and the best. Like other restaurants in Covington, it has an old-world charm to it. It was huge inside and we enjoy a good hibachi. Our chef was outstanding! Talented with the grill he put on a great show. The food was outstanding. Fried rice with vegetables. I had the scallops, really well cooked. My wife had shrimp and she said they were delish. The lady who sat us was very engaging and very attentive to our needs. Even brought us to go drinks when we boxed up our leftovers. So much food we had 2 entire dinners each! Great food and extraordinary people. Our highest rating! read more

Terrible. Food was tasteless except for the burnt egg in the fried rice. It was obvious that the chef had very little experience. Only one other table was seated, but had to wait for drink refills each time. Prices are ridiculous. Don't waste your money or time. read more

The food is okay, however, we placed an online order on a Thursday at 8:20pm the estimated time for it to be ready was 8:40. I wasn't expecting for it to be ready in 20min so I called the restaurant immediately after ordering and asked if they could delay cooking our food so we could pick it up closer to 9pm. The lady who answered the phone was very rude and told me she was too busy delay the order? I would think delaying the order would help if you are so busy in the moment. When I tried to explain what I wanted her to do again, thinking maybe the language barrier was hindering my communication of what I was asking they do. Then she told me she is too busy to talk to me and hung up on me. I called back, there was no answer. Immediately the lady called me back. I said "hello" and she said "can I help you" I said "yes, I believe you accidentally hung up on me?" she then told me again "she is too busy, and too many people need her right now to talk to me" I asked if I could speak to manager or someone else and she replied "no it's just me you can talk to" so I gave it a go again, trying to explain I would like to delay them making our food so I could pick it up at 9pm. She then replied (blowing me off) "okay okay you be here at 9" then hung up on me again! I just have no words for the level of unprofessionalism. I just paid 90 bucks for 2 dinners and 1 appetizers! I don't want it to be cold and the least you can do is take the time to have some customer service! We will NEVER order from this hibachi restaurant ever again! read more

Food quality was great, service was fast. Only complaint was that we ordered four rolls and only got 3. We always order too much do didn't need it and weren't charged for it. We could have said something but didn't, the waitress must not have heard us order it or something. read more
