I was first introduced to Neetaji when she did the Mehendi for my best friend's wedding. During that time, she also did my henna and we had the chance to connect. She was so warm, kind, and incredibly prepared that I knew I wanted her for my own wedding one day. When I booked her, she sent me a link where I could select exactly how extensive I wanted my henna design to be along with the price point that worked best for me. The process was very organized and easy. She also helped coordinate artists for guest Mehendi, which made planning so much easier. Before the appointment, she sent a list of instructions to help prepare the space. What I appreciated most was that everything was centered around making sure the bride was comfortable during the long process. And she truly delivers on that. I felt relaxed and well taken care of the entire time. Neetaji is incredibly personable and interacts so naturally with family and guests. We spent hours talking and laughing while she worked. Her henna is natural and does not contain chemicals, and the stain develops beautifully dark. Her designs are intricate, clean, and very thoughtfully done. She takes the time to ask questions so she can understand your vision and personalize the design. She also provides clear aftercare instructions and truly treats you like family throughout the experience. I have to admit Neeta's customer service is lacking! I had emailed to ask for an estimate and her reply was with the numbers and pricing for packages. She did not even congratulate me on the engagement (which other mehndi artists have). I let that slide but what hurt me the most was when I asked for a referral discount (she was the mehndi artist for my fiance's brother) she replied with in the bigger picture mehndi is only 1% of the entire wedding cost. This was derogatory and I wouldn't know that? I have an entire budget spreadsheet and merely asking for a discount. All she had to say was no or politely decline. I chose another mehndi artists but just keep in mind that we are paying the artist they are not paying us so customer service is key! Please choose your mehndi artists wisely and just because someone is such in high demand does not mean they can compromise good customer service. Spending MY money elsewhere! read more

Neeta Aunty is a true artist with mehendi - She is communicative, creative, and intentional with her work. It was my dream to have Neeta Aunty do my bridal mehendi after seeing her do my sister's mehendi several years ago. A few months before my wedding, Neeta Aunty reached out to ask if I had any special requests for my bridal mehendi. She was able to accommodate all my requests while putting her signature creative twist on it. Her pleasant, calm demeanor made sitting in a chair for ~6 hours easy. Neeta Aunty's art shows how invested she is in each of her brides in addition to her passion for her profession. I booked Neeta for my wedding mehndi and so glad I did. I've been following her on Instagram for awhile and knew she had great designs. Booking her was easy and prompt. She arrived on the day right on time and made me feel comfortable right away. She gives a cute little kit to use for mehndi care and gives you directions on how to use everything. When I booked my planner, the amazing Denise of Denise Lillie Engagements, the first thing she asked me was "do you want bridal henna?". I said yes, and she said you HAVE to book Neeta ASAP as she is the best in the area (and amongst the best in the country) and she's already booked for your date but is willing to do two brides in one day. I took her advice seriously, and immediately booked her after seeing her work. Not only was Neeta super chill and flexible, she was willing to travel to a beach house my family had rented a couple of hours north of SF. In order to complete two bridal hennas in one day, she was willing to stay with my family and work until past midnight to ensure I, my mom, and my sister got our hennas done a couple of days before the wedding. Neeta is clearly practicing her passion - she will board planes, trains, and automobiles to deliver amazing results to her brides. Furthermore, she takes the time to source and make her own henna, which is all natural (a sticking point for me - I didn't want fake additives). She took great care in creating a unique henna pattern incorporating elements that I had liked from her other patterns. Bridal henna is one of the things I looked most forward to for my wedding and Neeta went above/beyond to make sure it was an amazing and relaxing experience. One thing I would encourage is to talk to her about timing before you book her. My henna was actually darkest the day after my wedding and perhaps I should I have asked about this and booked her a day earlier (but that's on me!). Definitely do NOT get your henna too close to your wedding as it slowly picks up color over two full days as it is all natural. I highly recommend including Neeta as part of your big day and I recommend you book her ASAP as she is a busy bee for a reason! read more

I had seen a few of Neeta's designs before deciding to book her for my bridal mehndi and I am so happy that I made that decision. The week before the mehndi, Neeta did a great job at proactively reaching out and telling me exactly what she would need (seating area, space, design, etc.). When selecting the design, I went through her instagram and requested for her to combine a few different designs where I liked different sections of different posts. When the day came, she was absolutely wonderful to talk to while she was designing my mehndi. She provided great recommendations on how to fill in some parts of the design to make it look even better based on her experience. She was also flexible with my request to add a football and coffee cup. She makes her mehndi herself, 100% natural and my entire household was complimenting how it didn't smell compared to typical mehndi. She left me with a wonderful care kit and instructions (including lemon-sugar spray, oil to remove, etc.). My wedding was two days after the mehndi application and my arms and feet were a beautiful shade of extremely dark brown. It has now been a week since the wedding and I'm still receiving many compliments about how the design is so beautiful. Couple weeks later I saw someone post about her work on Social Media and in the same week I had a family friend recommend her. I decided to check out her website and was immediately very impressed by her professional, clean and organized website and online presence in general. I emailed Neeta asking if she had the date available and if she was willing to drive the distance. Within couple days I received a very detailed response that helped answer all my questions.
