The OG of one stop shopping...whatever you're looking for, from groceries to bicycles, greeting cards to paint, pots n pans to shirts n shoes....Meijers has it. Oh, you work weird hours? No problem...the store is open 24/7! You can even pick up your prescription in the pharmacy, buy postage stamps our order that last minute birthday cake from the bakery. This location had been around for many many years and the age is starting to show in the building. The service can vary - just depends on who is helping you. Overall not bad.

The pork chops I made for dinner..

While shopping today I saw a 87 man on a none working motorized cart. His cart had broken down. He was stranded and looked unwell. I asked him if I could get some him help. I saw the man at the door and told him of the man. He said " I can't leave the door." I ask if he could notify someone. He didn't respond.I went to a man at the self checkout and ask him to notify someone. He said he couldn't leave his area. I understand they can't leave but can't they call for help.the person from the door finally came and told us that all the carts were in use or not charged. The senior ended up being given a regular cart. He could barely stand. He got in a line to be checked out. The man from the door said they would open a self checkout. The senior would have to walk all the way back. He had to walk to car. He was polite, didn't complain. What if he fell. Would anyone get help? Do the employees have phones to notify some to help shoppers in this kind of situation?I'm a senior also and I'm disappointed and worry about anyone having a medical emergency . I hope the gentle man finds a safer way to get his groceries. Shame on you, Walmart. You can do better.

Sad. Just sad. They have signs on doors that prohibit any activity or presence in the mall which…read moreisn't transaction based- going to purchase items in stores, using the gym, dining in the restaurant etc- no mall walkers etc. The JCP, Sephora, bath and body works, planet fitness, Mexican eatery are about the only things going on. They have temporary locations for Sloan Museum and Flint Public Library while construction and renovations are underway for the downtown flint locations, and a few outside retailers, like a goodwill, staples and dollar city etc, but it's like tumble weeds inside. They didn't even really do any holiday decor. It's pitiful. Oh, it looks like the interior scene of an episode of the walking dead. The shame is this mall has the best locations of jcp, Sephora and bath and body works in the area (the others are not as nice). At least the mall has that going for it. The interior shops are mostly closed, a few fly by night temporary retail spots open and close randomly, the sushi place closed, most of the food court is gone, the movie theater just closed, there are no middle of the mall kiosks and most of the retailers with exterior entrances have blocked and closed their interior mall entrances. I'd hope this place could be renovated or something, but I don't know. I just go in the bath and body works and Sephora and jcp or staples if I want to purchase something and leave. There's no reason to look around.

If mgmt wanted to do away with people hanging out at the bus shelter, get rid of it añd and leave the stop. A lot of people go to goodwill, just to see what "treasure" they may find, knowing their purchases support a worthy cause. Plus there's a Planet Fitness, Bath and body works, JCPENNEY and other businesses. Not everyone drives any more, due to age, the huge expense of car ownership, or other reason. I will never again step foot in the mall, e ven if my life depended on it.

I remember visiting North Carolina and going to Gabe's. I love that it's a discounted bargain store. We pulled up and there's plenty of parking. I entered the store and found my small suitcase and some more items. Thanks, Gabe's. I love this store and the prices. See you next time.

This store is - odd.. they do carry a wide variety of lightweight home furnishings and decor, seasonal items, beauty, clothing, shoes, housewares, toys, gourmet food items, accessories, and baby stuff.. but it's so disorganized.. it's nearly impossible to look for anything.. it's like if Dollar General and TJ Maxx had a baby- it could be Gabe's.. They occasionally have a few items of interest, yet the displays are awful) yet better than than in comparison to the day they first opened)........but it's always a bit of a eyesore.. it always seems as if the manager needs to straighten the place up.. it is chaos!! Or vest are hit or miss/ sometimes low, occasionally off the mark.. I've seen carhart jackets and j crew pants for decent prices and yet I've looked at tankless candles pretty cedar as much as the original retailer and cheap looking sesdinal decor I can buy at dollar tree at an 1/8th the price.. If you want to go bargain hunting, be prepared to look around awhile- and bring hand sanitizer.. and don't be disappointed that toy couldn't find much because of the disorganized clutter!! Don't bother requesting help from an associate- even if you can spot one.. they do their best to ignore customers..
