This review will focus on an order of a oven/microwave combo and their customer service. When our wall oven/microwave stopped working, we began shopping for a replacement that preferably could drop right in the existing opening without any cabinet modifications. We shopped all over Grand Rapids as well and we were surprised to find Costco had the exact model we were looking for at a dramatically lower price. In addition, delivery and installation was included. I was a little nervous ordering this way but went ahead. I placed the order and in less than a week, the oven was delivered followed by the installation a day later. Unfortunately the oven was defective so I had the option of a refund, replacement or a repair. Repairing was definitely not an option for us especially on a brand new oven and I didn't want to begin shopping all over so we opted for a replacement. Amazingly the team at Costco worked some kind of magic because the new oven was delivered and installed five days later. Costco communicated with me many times updating me during the process (shipped from manufacturer, arrived at Costco warehouse, earliest possible delivery, earliest possible installation, etc.) Really, their communications were extraordinary and over the top from what I expected from such a large organization. The installers who are independent contractors who don't work directly for Costco were also amazed as they do installations for other stores. They said a replacement usually takes much longer. I've long been a huge Costco fan. This experience made me an even bigger one.

So many complaints spots but not positive feedback! Moving on to Ally wow what a wonder customer service attendant. Being in customer service for 30 years and in management I was so impressed. She performed her job well with no complaint! Most importantly she welcomed me coming in the door smiled and assisted me in finding what I came in for. It's so important to make people feel welcomed especially since she was the first person I seen after waking and leaving my hotel. She assured I had everything I needed and because of her I didn't need to stop anywhere else on my trip home. I did let Ms Ally know how very greatful and how appreciative I was to feel so important at a gas station. She is an example of what customer service should represent. They have a good selection of hot food, which I was surprised by (even though maybe I shouldn't have been) since it was in a small town (but I am now realizing most small town spots would have hot food from personal travels). Lots of drinks, both alcoholic and not. Multiple aisles were filled to the brim with bagged snacks and the single stall bathroom (for men and women) was clean. Why cannot someone take the outdated newspapers off the shelf so one doesn't pick up a newspaper not thinking to check out the date on the newspaperThinking rightly so that it's an updated product and not outdated, only to find out that it's outdated and one they had might have Already purchased and or read before and they're not going there With the intent/to buy they are not going there to buy an outdated paper but an up-to-date paper? In a conversation that I had with somebody come to find out they also have / had On July 22 of this year,more of the same papers on the shelf with the same date as well as papers dated on or about June 21. With conversations of other people I've also heard that these other people have had issues with this station. I feel the responsibility should not be up to the purchaser to check out every date of the products that are being sold there but the establishment should keep a better handle on outdated materials and take outdated materials off the shelf. I suppose if and when products are left on the Shelf one could possibly assume that if a purchaser left the establishment and traveled some distance away before they recognized that it was an outdated product that more than likely the purchaser would not make Feel it would be worth the return trip,the trip back to return?I think there is a "law/regulation ""on the books" regarding outdated materials and such.

Being a person who loves a good road trip and has been to many of the states, this isn't my favorite gas station, but Loves Travel Centers definitely has a special place in my heart. While I would consider this spot average, I will continue to stop here once to twice a year when needed.

My wife and I are currently homeless, and on the day in question, the heat index was near 90 degrees. I went into Johnny's Shell initially just to use the restroom. After that, I returned to my van to get two bowls so I could fill them with hot water for instant noodles. On my second trip inside, I politely spoke with two very kind employees who treated me with respect. After filling the bowls with hot water, I realized I needed to make two trips to carry everything back out. On my third trip, I went in to fill my two Yeti cups with ice water. At that point, an employee named Ms. Sheila told me, "I can't keep you coming in and out of the store to get water." I replied, "Ma'am, it's 90 degrees outside, but I won't come back for water," and started to leave. I did, however, return briefly to wash my forks in the restroom and informed Ms. Sheila of my intent. Moments later, another employee, a white woman named Sabre, aggressively pounded on the bathroom door and yelled, "You need to leave." The pounding startled me so badly that my heart nearly jumped out of my chest. When I stepped out, she loudly repeated, "You need to leave -- my cashier said..." I asked why, since I had been respectful, gentle, and kind the entire time, as I almost always am. As I moved toward the door, Sabre made a gesture as if she were about to call the police. I told her I had done nothing disrespectful and could not understand why I was being treated this way. No one should be made to feel unsafe, targeted, or humiliated for simply trying to meet basic needs, especially when they've been polite and transparent about their actions. While I want to commend the two employees who treated me with kindness, my overall experience left me feeling disrespected, singled out, and unwelcome. Businesses have every right to set policies, but there is never an excuse for aggression or intimidation toward customers -- especially those already in a vulnerable situation.
