They seem to generally have plenty of cashiers available and a fresh inviting produce section. There is a Starbucks right inside the store entrance. No deals there just the convenience of one stop shopping. A few observations: -They have a loyalty program where you register and trade your buying history for fuel points (rewards) toward the purchase of gas at the Kroger fuel station. In order to get the lowest advertised store price on Kroger merchandise you have to scan your card or provide your phone number. A strategy might be to use a common family phone number to more quickly build rewards. -Rather than BOGO their deal is Buy 5 Save 5. So on a frozen vegetable instead of paying the Kroger loyalty price of 2.29 you pay 1.29 each if you buy 5 in the same brand and category. Seems like a deal if they have sufficient stock when you are shopping. Wednesday is when the weekly store ad/specials drop so probably the best day to shop. -They have a 'Last Chance' section where they offer clearance prices on stickered merchandise. Aisle 8 when I was there. A quick scan and a check of expiration dates can net a bargain. -Kroger offers online digital coupons that you can clip after you download and register through their app. Check the app privacy details for the many ways Kroger can gather and sell your personal information including to third party advertisers.

I found her waiting in the cooler in the floral department. I was searching for an arrangement to drop off at my friend's office to brighten her day. This was a lot of flower power for $50 - fragrant stems, heavy pitcher for a vase and generous bouquet. My friend immediately commented on how wonderful the roses smelled! It totally made her day! There were a number of to-go arrangements in beautiful colors in all shapes and sizes. The man in front of me at checkout was picking up four dozen roses for his wedding anniversary - all beautiful! Friendly cashier helped me with checkout and removing the price tag. If you don't need delivery, I'd stop by here for your next arrangement - I think items a better bang for your hard-earned bucks!

Teresa, in the deli, took the order and was Very helpful in asking questions and offering advice, with my special order. Anthony, in the deli, packaged my order and did an excellent job. A return was done without entering the store! Compared to Lowe's who couldn't fulfill and order for fertilizer even 24 hrs later, Blain's is amazing!!!! Mind you I didn't not receive my points for the purchase per VIP Customer. I only paid $900 at dealership previously. Anyway, Friday am I woke to tire losing air. Called Blain's Farm & Fleet- Warranty Work and ER. Nope you have to have an appointment. WHAT I have a tire losing air and need repaired immediately. Nope appointment set for Saturday. so Sat. 5:45 they call- close at 6. We can't find the leak. Really, I explained exactly where the nail was as it's a square headed roofing nail (brother is getting his roof done) he asked can I keep the car and get assistance and fix in am. I said yes, What time. He then explains I'll have to wait until 11 as I have other appointments. UM nooo I am a rollover from Sat and should be first. He said Nope I can't do that; I can't move other appointments to do your car. Um WTF? My appointment was Sat. not Sun.; I have been waiting since Friday to get a tire fixed. Never --Never go there to purchase tires. They are sooo messed up. I am furious and now it's Sunday and it's 12:30 and still not car!! I'm done!!

I've heard of Beer Nuts before but never really paid much attention to them in stores, as I normally don't purchase packs of peanuts/bar mix snacks. But while looking for stuff to do in Bloomington-Normal, I came across the Beer Nut Factory/Company Store. Much to my surprise, I learned that this factory is the only one that produces Beer Nuts for all of America. I am not sure how far their distribution goes, but hopefully you can find some at your local grocery store/gas station as they are delicious! Ok, on to the Company Store. They have a Beer Nuts Gift Store right near the entrance of their Company Store. You can kind of peek around some windows to see the inner workings of the company, but that's not why we are there. We are there to get some snacks! The Gift Store is a bit bigger than your average Gift Store, but they have a ton of product to choose from. Upon entering, there is a sampling station where you can try most, if not all of their products. I will say that I sampled most and regret not getting my hands on Beer Nuts a lot sooner. Delicious! The store has more than just nuts. They have logos on just about everything you can think of. Shirts, boxers, hats, ping pong balls, gift baskets, water bottles... the list goes on... and I don't remember what else they had, but there is almost something there for everyone. I ended up grabbing a bunch of little bags to take to work for people and a single ping pong ball. Why I bought a ping pong ball, I still don't know. They don't offer tours of the factory, sadly. In place of that, they do have a TV playing a video with tons of Beer Nuts history and tons of cool information. The staff was also super friendly and took time to explain things and joked around with my friend and I. Wrapping this up, if you find yourself in Bloomington and have no idea what to do, get yourself over to the Beer Nuts Company Store. I know I am going back next time I am in Bloomington. You won't regret it and neither will your taste buds. Unless you have a peanut allergy...
