What more could you want for your dollar...store?…read more Okay, so it's not the most amazing store on the planet and the cognoscenti, in this case, are on a lower budget than most but Dollar General has a lot to offer if you're careful. This is one of their older stores, which means that it frequently looks a mess. In this area, they have quite a few stores and are building more. Since 2008, the economy has been good for dollar stores and the dollar stores have been hurting Walmart, as Walmart hurt discount stores like Kmart and Woolworth. Dollar General has good deals, sometimes, great deals but you have to be willing to search and you have to be willing to move things in this store. I'd say food is their big draw. They accept food stamps and they provide their own lower-priced brand. They also have big name brands, but in quantities which aren't always the same as your typical grocery store. Calculate the value, as always. Dollar stores are sometimes more expensive than other types of stores but they confuse by using unique sizes. I started buying from Dollar General because they had grated parmesan/parmagiana cheese that I liked better than Kraft or 4C, but now, I go there for other food items and greeting cards and household items. They also have clothing, and some of it is name brand. For a store its size, the health and beauty items are plentiful. At this store, you'll even find some DVDs but you'll find them near the clothing for some reason. They've got a small refrigerator for milk, eggs, and bacon. Unfortunately, I can't find everything I want, so I end up shopping there for things I can't find elsewhere or coupon bargains. They've been running "Super Saturday" deals where you buy something during the week and take your receipt on Saturday for a 15 % (I believe) discount on your total. If you shop regularly, you'll do well. Of course, you can go to the store at the south end of town, which is much more organized since it's newer, the west side of town, or who knows where they'll build a new store soon.

Horrible customer service. Rude management. I was discharged from the hospital after a diabetic…read moreepisode and told my Insulin was ready at Phillips. I called en route and was told it was there, but needed prior authorization. I called my doctor, who then called Phillips and cleared everything up. I returned to Phillips and was told they did NOT have my insulin (after being told they DID have it earlier, it just need authorization), and would not have it until the next day. Phillips played back and forth games with life saving medicine so long until I could not even transfer the prescription to CVS or another competitor because they had all closed. I confronted the man behind the counter, who proceeded to lie to me, about what he said to both me, my doctor and the my nurse. We were all three told, multiple times, that Phillips HAD IT IN STOCK, but it needed authorization. Then after my doctor called them and got it authorized, he again confirmed it WAS THERE and READY. I will NEVER use this pharmacy again, ever.

This one's great! You enter the lot and park your car in Ohio but the store stands in Indiana. Cool. It is huge warehouse sized building with all things loud, colorful and explosive, running the gauntlet from kiddie sparklers and snake pellets to giant mortar shells. There were a good number of employees on the floor to answer questions and help you find what you're seeking. Checkout counters were numerous and efficient, and you get to choose some freebies based on how much you spend. I was interested to learn they actually sell mostly their own brands. And the merchandise is top quality, we really enjoyed them on Fourth of July. I was a little sad they didn't carry the Black Cat brand, because as all us fireworks fanatics know, Black Cat is The Best You Can Get. Open all year long!

In SEPTEMBER I receive a bill for $411 saying if not paid in 10 days i would be turned over to collection! I called and was told they can't bill 2 insurances. Called the insurance they said that's not true. Called their separate billing office and was told it should have been billed to both and they would have to submit it now to get a denial due to timely filing and write it off. Called them back, get a different excuse and they refuse to bill. Now I have to pay because their billing department messed up and it took them 8 months to figure out! Now I have to send the insurance after them.

The very first time I walked into the office, all the staff just stared at me and made me feel very uncomfortable. They did not even say anything at first. I had no idea where I was supposed to go/what I was supposed to do. Some training on professionalism would be helpful there. Once they finally spoke to me, they acted like I did not have an appointment that day. I had spoken to someone on the phone and absolutely scheduled an appointment, so of course that rubbed me the wrong way. Part of me was surprised I went back after that, but I wanted to keep an open mind. So I actually went back several times, and none of them were positive experiences. I had disclosed personal health information only out of medical necessity. Before I knew it, everyone single staff member knew about it, and every single staff member would ask me and talk to me about it every single time I went in. It made me extremely uncomfortable. I did not disclose that information because I wanted to chit chat about it. Again, I disclosed it out of medical necessity. And again, some major training in professionalism, bedside manner, and common courtesy is essential. I think Johnson Chiropractic "means well" but is 100% missing the mark. There is a lot of work that needs to be done in order to make it as respectable healthcare establishment.
