I was not prepared for how much stuff Meijer has. This place is basically Target on steroids, but somehow with better prices and fewer judgmental vibes. You go in for one thing and suddenly you're considering patio furniture, snacks for the apocalypse, and a new outfit. A funny thing was we were looking at shoes, opened the box, and it looked like someone else had the same thoughts cause the new shoes were replaced with someone's old shoes lol. The store is huge, well stocked, and honestly overwhelming in the best way. Aisles on aisles of everything you could possibly need, and a few things you didn't know you needed. This is easily one of the biggest perks of being in Detroit. Once you shop at Meijer, regular grocery stores just feel... small. If you have time, energy, and a strong sense of direction, it's absolutely worth it. Just don't expect a "quick trip." Oh! And they have some of the best deli meats I've ever had! The bakery/ deli department is very rude and non-friendly! within the past month I have went there three times for cake and cupcakes for relative's birthday celebrations and the staff was beyond rude; they look at you and walk the other way and leave you standing there. There is a Caucasian guy who wears glasses and a short African American lady who wears a mask over her face. Both individuals do not know how to talk to customers and every question that I asked the answer was NO and they would walk away. As a manager working with the public every day, I get every day is not going to be peaches and cream but EVERY single time I go to the bakery department I'm embraced with rude, ignorant attitudes. read more

I've been to this Meijer a few times over the years and even though it's not on my favorite side of town, it's actually really super nice. Compared to other Meijer's I've been too, this is a larger one with a huge selection of items. Walking in through produce, you can spend a ton of time picking through the food here. The deli doesn't have much of a prepared foods to sell by the pound but they do have it pre packaged throughout this part of the store. The store's relatively clean and extremely busy for this side of town. My only complaint, which I've experienced in years past is the check out lines are horrendously long at times. I remember waiting for what seemed like forever. I don't think it's due to low staff but maybe a part of it is it's just so busy and the place is always crammed. This time around I haven't had to wait to long to check out as compared to the past, but I still love coming here. It's nice, clean, well lit and has plenty of food options. read more

I frequently visit the Meijer location on 10 mile & Schoenherr for groceries. Unbeknownst to most ppl,this location has Japanese chefs who will make custom orders for you if you ask them politely...and their sushi is delicious. I stopped by Meijer today and picked up 4 cases of wine that the staff was kind enough to order and assist me with. Customers get 10% off every 4 bottles of wine bought. Their customer service is outstanding and I would highly recommend you to buy your wine and spirits here. read more

Stopped in to grab some facial lotion. Had to return another lotion for sensitive skin. No need for sensitive skin type facial lotion for me. Looks like a fairly newer store from the outside. Only 3 registers manned, more self-checkouts are open. 1 person at the customer service desk. Customer service desk is the slowest. She forgot to scan the sonicare to clear me through the exit. I had to go back to get the one item cleared so I wouldn't keep setting off the sensor at the exit. read more

This location's layout and selection is decent. The parking lot gets a little crazy at peak times. Their staff are always courteous and hard working. I'm am so sad my neighborhood has been ruined and depreciated in value after the vote to zone this area where Meijer now stands as commercial. It of course started out superb! Yet, faster then you can snap your fingers it turned into a total shit show! The whole perimeter of the property is riddled in trash left behind from trashy people and clearly not enough employees or proper management to care about cleaning it up. The parking lot is a magnet for those who did not take drivers training or understand the rules of operating a vehicle ( fyi - those yellow lines do not represent two lanes for one way traffic ). This is the same for the interior. I swear - it's a full blow circus entering and leaving this place. Wild animals, empty shelves and 4 lanes available to checkout. Why do you pay someone to greet you if they are just going to be on their phone, talking to their busy or just stare at ya with a blank look. "Hi! Welcome to Meijer!" with a genuine smile would make sense. This place is a haven for thieves, crime and trash! read more

I primarily do grocery pickup because the lines for checking out are very long most of the time. When I do go in the store it's clean and organized. I can almost always find what I'm looking for. When I do pickup orders the staff is always very nice and friendly and helpful. They felt like I waited to long on my last pickup so they gave me a coupon for $15 off my next purchase! Shoppers who are not doing grocery pickup park in the pickup spots so sometimes it's hard to park. read more

I've been going to the Roseeville store for five years. I try to shop elsewhere. Meijer is not a clean place. The litter outside along with the "homeless" people approaching people in the parking lot should be a sign to anyone that this place doesn't care. I stopped buying meat here because my hamburger was rotting on the inside and covered in fresh edible red meat, the chicken I purchased appeared to be freezer burned on the edges, buy one get one 40% off kitty litter and there's only one (happened to me twice), sale prices don't always ring in, molding bread on the shelves in the bakery, fruit and berries are very expensive and only go on sale when they are past ripeness. The bathroom is absolutely disgusting. If they're willing to let customers see and smell their gross bathroom, imagine how dirty and unsanitary the food prep areas are. Some employees are super nice. Their greeter is on his phone constantly. This place is a major disappointment. read more

The staff is always very helpful and friendly, but because they are such a busy location, they have a high turnover of stock. They are constantly stocking all night long, and if you come during the early afternoon, majority of the in-demand items or sale items are out and waiting to be stocked again. They usually have plenty of cashiers and lanes open, but sometimes, (maybe during shift change, idk) there are only a few lanes open and lined up all the way back into the clothes department. Plan accordingly. (They're hiring to alleviate this, so I'm not knocking starts off for it!) All the deli and meats are pre-packaged so once they're put out and bought, you'll have to wait until the next time more comes out. read more

Recently moved to Michigan and this place is only open late so I often shop there late and although there's probably less employees working (it seems like) compare to daytime, there's never a long checkout line and each time I shop there and checkout, its been a breeze with no issues. Employees seems nice and always greet you at the entrance when you walk in/out. Place is clean and I like that. Inventory options are great as well. They have a lot to choose from which is great. Last but not least, they have a starbucks inside right by the "Fresh" side entrance, its very convenient for me on the way out or just grabbing some Starbucks inside and out the next without walking too far. That is, unless you park on the "Home" side of the store its a bit of a walk, lol. This store is big, so I'm glad it has a lot of things I can shop. read more

This Meijer is on the smaller side for a Meijer, I think, but it's still a Meijer so it's still freakin huge. And even though it's newer than the 12 Mile and Mound Meijer the sheen is already off it and it'll probably be straight up run down just a couple years down the road. There's just something depressing about this particular Meijer to me. I think it's the neighborhood, as I lived a mile and a half down the road for about 3 months long ago during a somewhat sad period of my life. So yeah, I'm probably projecting or bringing personal prejudice here, but hey, it is Yelp, right? All in all, I'd much rather drive to the 12 Mile and Mound Meijer cause that one's my jam. Still, this big box store is packed with so many necessities I can't dog it too badly, especially not in these days of March 2020, when the coronavirus pandemic hit Michigan. I wish future readers of this could come back in time and tell me how things worked out. Or do I really wanna know? My family went to this location the shelves were stocks food seemed fresh but that seems to be all. My girlfriend who is Handicapped needs a ride on cart so my dad a VETERAN was told by an employee getting carts "Why are you driving the cart others need it and that he can walk he did not need it" there was not very good selection for cereal. I myself went to the store a few days prior and it seems like everytime I go there the pop machine they have by the cafe area is always out of a lot of variety's. The cashier at the self checkout did not knew how to do a separate payment for doing some on an EBT card and the rest with another Store Card. my girlfriends sister asked her if she could print the receipt and move it to another register because it froze and the employee rolled her eyes and acted like we were dumb and continued helping other people instead of my family. Definition of "catering to the client" cause just everything else south of 696 this place is a shithole dumpster fire. 15 mile Meijers has their carts wiped down and sanitized for you while this dump doesn't even have disinfectant for you to wipe it down yourself. Ssssooooo my wife and I stopped at this particular store and decided to go shopping and everything was cool up until were in the check out line so as we are standing in the line this one guy who's a cashier is just looking like he is frustrated as he is ringing up this lady before us So I notice that they did not have any dividers at the counter by the register so at this point I said to the guy excuse do you have any dividers so that I can start loading up my groceries and his reply ( in a sarcastic voice was ) apparently not (followed by) they must be at another register so I looked at my wife and said how rude so as this is going on the guest reach over to the next isle and grab a divider and then throws it on the counter next to my hand so I tossed it back on to her stuff and the cashier says you didn't have to through that at him and I looked and told the guy first off the lady that you are ringing up threw the stick at me so I just tossed it back in which was no where near you so then I just simply asked to speak to a mannager so he gets on the phone and says there's a customer who wishes to see but I haven't a clue why lol So now the manager shows up and she asked him what's going on he says he has no ideal (what an idiot) so as I try to tell her this guy tries interrupt me by trying to over talk me so then I had to diss miss the guy from the situation by telling him the code of conduct that he should of learned at a Meijer orientation 1. You should not be rude and discourteous towards employee or guest 2 once a manager approached a situation you step back and let them deal with the guest so please stop talking to me and let me talk to your manager so as he continued to talk my wife and I just told the manager just go ahead and keep your stuff all $370.00 worth of items I'm not saying that we bought out the store but almost $400.00 worth of stuff is a whole lot of money in my eyes oh well your lost. read more

Pros: Good prices on food. Good selection. Open 24/7. Friendly staff. Clean. Lovely older black gentlemen, he's the door greeter. He sings too. He's a gem. Cons: Not enough checkouts open. Severely understaffed. Long wait times. Parking lots always littered with trash. I wouldn't recommend coming here at night. There's a lot of ghetto people who come here, especially at night. Went here last night and observed a man on a bicycle looking through people's cars. Also, a crowd of loud/foul mouthed teenagers were running rampant in the store. Unfortunately, this store gets a lot of theft. Suspects are always spotted heading southbound, of course! Straight back to the hood! They need to hire outdoor security! They don't have much requirements for their employees. Two former employees were high school dropouts, had poor work ethic, and one of the two had a jail record. I enjoy going to this Meijer and shopping because of the options that are given to me the produce is just what I'm looking for they have everything that me and my family need to an extent but I've had many issues since I've been shopping here such as the parking lot the way that me and my wife were treated as we were leaving the store but I was contacted by upper management in corporate who wanted to fix these issues in a timely manner I recommend that you shop at Meijer but would not doubt it if you were turned away from how the store is ran but was informed they are fixing these issues soon read more

I was so excited this placed opened up, it was gorgeous! Now, months later it's a dump. A shame. Went there yesterday, my 2 yo needed to go potty, used the family restroom which was disgusting! After grabbing a few groceries we went to self checkout which then froze, i let the worker know so she just shut it down instead of asking for help to get it fixed since there was a long line waiting. There was garbage and crumbs all over while the worker just stood there putting lip gloss on. I wanted to get a slush, go to grab a cup which were empty. They are ALWAYS out! So i had to walk several aisles down just to get a cup!! Finally got that and on my way out i decided to let my daughter choose one of those .25-.75cent candy/toys located in the vestibule, every single machine was jammed!! I told the greeters that looked at me, heard me and completely ignored me and proceeded to flirt with a female co-worker on her way out. I was livid. I will be calling corporate. read more

DO NOT COME HERE!!!!! Sure, the new additions are pleasing to the eye, and the fruit and produce is always excellent. probably the best produce around. however, I DO NOT FEEL SAFE HERE!!! Up and down the isles I find people following me, making sexual gestures towards me.. It's very unusual because the meijers I normally go to is far from this in comparison. This is basically a Walmart, but with a nicer scenery. Understaffed aswell. The cashiers are always in a bad mood; I understand the way a cashier feels I am one!! But this was just unreal. I went on the grand opening, and everything was just so great. The staff (NOT THE CASHIERS!!) always greeted me, and gave me comfort. This place has their stuff on sale to trick you, but when you get the stuff and check your receipt and wonder why is it so high, ITS BECAUSE THE CASHIERS DONT PAY ATTENTION AND GIVE YOU THE WRONG/FULL PRICE!! ALWAYS CHECK YOUR CASHIERS SCREENS AND RECEIPTS PEOPLE!!! So understaffed, that they had to lock one of the doors and made it inaccessible. I literally parked my car close to the locked door, and didn't feel pleasure in walking in the rain all the way to the other side. The employees after the grand opening were so disgustingly rude, always glaring at you and staring. I literally had only walked in. Honestly felt so unsafe, maybe they should use the money they're stealing from you to hire some security. maybe this way i could get to my car. someone had asked the person at the door why it's locked, told them it's because there's no staff.
