They have remodeled this store and to be honest I liked the store before the remodel. There is a lot of business picking up around the area of this Meijer too. I have noticed this store is poorly stocked. After I shop here, I have to go to other stores to finish up my shopping. The Southgate Meijer seems to be very well stocked at all times compared to other stores. read more

Merchandise is displayed under signs advertising low prices but the sign refers to clothing on a different rack, hoping the consumer won't notice the higher price at checkout. This appears to be a regular practice at this store. read more

Went grocery shopping two days ago to return some meat that smelled so rotten. They refunded me an I got other stuff an also replaced the meat because I had plans for it. Not only did the meat still smell bad the other items I got tasted bad. These are things I normally get an it all taste bad. Ended up just throwing it all out smh. read more

Came to this Meijers because it was the closest from where I was at the moment. Woow was this place a dump. You could not find anything and the outside definitely needed a fresh up. The inside was just as bad with everything out of stock or not in the right place. The bathroom was gross and I did not want to touch anything. The only reason I gave it an extra star was because the workers were nice and friendly. But would I go back?!?! Heck no...only if I had to but than I'll just go to another grocery store. read more

Suggestion for Miers Woodhaven Mi. Its a great store however it is not older people friendly. Lack of understanding that older people need a place to sit down in the store for a few minutes but do not need a motorized cart to shop. Also staff of checks is not good very slow and few tills open. If you will check out the Walmart store across the street from Milers. YOU will find that they have place five or six metal benches for customers. Me and my wife shop for 3 people plus 2 dogs ever friday. Most of the time we choose Walmart. Simply because I have back pain if standing too long. Also We shop for a women who my wife is her guardian ever Thursday. same reason we shop most of the time at Walmart. Please considering putting benches in at the store in Woodhaven. It just makes good business and at a very low expense for Miers. Thanks for your consideration. read more

You can find everything at Meijer. This store has a huge grocery section, housewares, pet and everything in between. It's nice because it's open 24 hours for any late night emergencies. I stopped in to look for a shirt for the baseball game. Again, they have everything. They usually have a sale on their sport wear selections. Sale is always a good word when I shop. There are plenty of options for men and women. Customer service at any Meijer is hit and miss. I think it's just one of those stores where you don't expect too much. Otherwise I don't mind coming here and this location is convenient for me. read more

Very rude service desk associate, very rude bakery counter clerk, lazy and inefficient labor for maintaining bottle return area. Must be a terrible place to work! I generally give 4 and 5 star ratings for businesses, but this place 'takes the cake'. Wow! Have been here 2 times, and left 2 times without making a purchase. Attempted to purchase a birthday cake, clerk was working behind counter approx 6 feet away. Glancing at me occasionally, then I asked if I could get happy birthday written on my cake. Was ignored. Waited 10 minutes, with associate glancing at me occasionally before simply leaving. Second occasion to shop, and attempted to return bottles before shopping. One machine was functional, then was full. An associate entered room, I greeted "hello!", was scowled at and no response. He opened door, saw bin was full and mumbled 'nobody does their job around here!', then said "I'm busy, I'll send somebody." Three of us were waiting, and waiting, finally I went to service desk to report that NONE of the machines were working. Was told "we don't take bottles here, you gotta go to the machines". I said none of them are working, and three people are waiting. She then stated "somebodies coming! We don't take bottles here!" I frustratingly dumped the remainder of my bottles onto the counter and turned to leave. Was told "that was uncalled for!" I've never been to a retail establishment with EVERY associate so rude and inefficient. read more

It's Meijer. I mean, it's Meijer in Woodhaven/Trenton Michigan. So it's MILES better than the Taylor or the one Detroit, but....it's still just Meijer. This one is generally *pretty* clean and pretty well stocked. Clearance stuff is rather abundant and easy to find *usually*. Produce is iffy, but more ok the side of good. I've had a few really nice cashiers, but basically every employee is usually pissed that they are there and that anyone has DARED to speak to them. For years, I've frequented this Meijer and almost always deal with shitty employees. But whatever. I guess maybe you can't expect much from a Meijer employee, I don't know. They've recently moved a TON of stuff around and it was really frustrating shopping there today and trying to find stuff that was nowhere near where it had been for years, but I managed to find most of what I was looking for. As I mentioned, the produce is iffy, so I usually get mine from Trentwood or Carlos & Joes. I've been going to the Kroger in Gibraltar more recently since they do the curbside pick up. The only local Meijer that offers it (last I checked) is the one in Taylor, and it was a mess. So once Woodhaven offers that, I'll be back to going there for most of my shopping. I do like that they have plenty of u-scan lanes, and my husband and kids love their rotisserie chicken on busy nights, but the sides are garbage, so don't waste your time. Always lines.. in edition there is a employee that watches senior citizens and other people spend money on the two lotto machines that are there! And she watches them sit down and scratch they're tickets and throw away the losers. Than she goes around bragging how she won $25k on those same machines. Scandalous worker, and unprofessional. Preying on people while working she deserves to loose her job and should be ordered to pay back the lotto for scandalous earnings! read more

Nothing can be more basic than a review of a grocery store but this Meijer is it! They have an amazing selection of healthy alternatives including organic fresh produce. They definitely offer more than any other Meijer I have been to and rival whole foods and trader joes-- excerpt they're right down the street from me and have better prices. read more

I'm giving meijer one star because EVERY single time I use the self check out, I end up spending so much extra time in delays due to the awful software system they have. There are always system errors that pop up multiple times within one transaction and I'm left standing there waiting for an associate to clear it each time it happens before I can continue scanning. It's very frustrating and has been going on for an extremely long time, maybe a year? I find it absurd that the problem has not been corrected and it makes me want to just quit shopping at meijer altogether because I have the same problem at other locations too. It's especially maddening when I'm in a rush and want to be in and out but can't because I have to wait to have all the error messages cleared. FIX the problem already! What kind of business are you guys running? Unacceptable. read more

I try to keep my rants/negatives short and to the point, so here it goes. I DO like: -the fact you can get pretty much everything here -prices are reasonable -staff is friendly I DON'T like: -the INSANE LINES. No matter WHAT time I go, there is always a wait. There are way too few cashiers, and the self-scan line is understaffed as well. I will purposely go to other grocery stores further away, because I know that even with the added driving time, I will be out faster than going to the Woodhaven Meijer. -the produce is awful. Always understocked on popular items, also, I've seen mold on so many blueberries and strawberries it is ridiculous. Bananas and grapes look battered...I could go on and on. -The layout of the store makes common items sometimes confusing to find -overall cleanliness is not the greatest read more

Meijer is actually one of the grocery markets that I still shop in. This one is clean, the staff is helpful, and there is barely a wait to check out. They carry a lot of Michigan products and are a Michigan company which is something I can stand behind. With so much to offer they really live up to the one stop shopping slogan. read more

This was the first Meijer that I ever encountered in Michigan, and it serves it purpose. It's very basic. The best thing I can say about it is that it links by a service road to the Emagine so you don't have use Allen Road. read more

This Meijer needs a new grocery manager. Every aisle has empty sections some as big as 4 feet. Every visit my grocery list shrinks and I am stuck going elsewhere. The can aisles needs help, no cut green bean, pizza kits, Heinz beef gravy etc. today no coffee filters. REALLY! This has been going on since way before Christmas and I don't understand why the STORE MANAGER doesn't see it. They need to keep up with there customer count weekly and order right. read more

We like to stop at this Meijer when we're on our way back from visiting family in Ohio (which is really quite often). It's close to route 75 so it makes it easy to stop in and grab our groceries for the week when we've been gone for some time. The store is generally inviting and clean with a nice selection. read more

I shop at this meijer often, multiple times a week. Everyone I know does. I come up here for groceries and I get all my medications from the pharmacy. Honestly the employees here are so f****** rude. I went to the customer service area last night to return Allegra, it was unopened and I meant to grab Zyrtec instead. There is currently a promotion on certain OTC medications such as Zyrtec, where if you spend $30 or more you can get a $15 visa gift card. I explained this to the customer service lady and she was so rude! She was like no we don't do that. And told me flat out I was wrong. She was also speaking to me in a condescending tone as if I had no idea what I was talking about. I hope she feels f****** stupid because I told her there was a sign hanging by the allergy meds and to walk with me and I would show her, and she responded "I can't leave my post" and wouldn't even look at the picture I was trying to show her. She was a large, nasty, slob of a person and so utterly rude. Like not only was her presentation gross but her attitude even worse. Why do you have to be rude? Why can't people just be normal and kind? Especially working in customer service? I give this meijer a 2/5 because I come here often but I give her 0/5. She was rude and mean. I came to Meijer's in Woodhaven to make a photo book of my grandson's first year. I had about l70 photos to scan and arrange in the book. I thought I'd be overwhelmed by doing this but my experience was a great one!!! Thanks to your employee, Judy W. She was so patient and helpful whenever I needed directions she was so cheerful and kind to help me out. It was the most pleasant experience for me. My photo album was gorgeous and the hit of my grandson's party. : ) I was so happy I ordered a second album as well for myself! Hope she stays around for a long long time.
