I would not recommend this location. I took my 2014 Altima in for an A/C repair in August 2024. I was so excited to get the call that it was fixed as I had been without the A/C for about 2 years and just couldn't take it any more. Imagine my surprise when I got in the car and not one cold breeze of air hit me. I called back to the shop and was told to bring it back in. This occurred several more times as I foolishly still had hope they could resolve the issue. During the 2nd or 3rd repair my compressor was suddenly in need of replacing. Then I had a leak somewhere in the system. Regardless, it took several visits over a 2 month period and it wasn't fixed. But each time they proudly stated it was. And when I say it wasn't fixed, it was not blowing cold air only somewhat cool air. And if it was hot outside, forget about it! I would have it on full blast for 20-30 minutes and the temp would not change. I gave up due to frustration. Last week, it was just too hot (South Alabama), so I took it back in to see what could be done since I had a warranty. I was told that although my repairs were under warranty, I would have to pay an additional diagnostic of $200 to look at it. I was flabbergasted to say the least. Never again. read more

I went in for a strange sound in my brakes, and they provided me with pictures and videos to help explain what they found, on top of showing me. I've never seen this kind of detail from anyone, not even a dealership! They replaced my brake pads and rotors, and my car runs fabulous now. These folks really know what they're doing! It saddens me to have to put this warning out, but I really hope this NEVER happens to anyone else again. Brought my 2014 Ford Escape in because it was making a weird sound. Was told my entire front-end suspension was the issue a $1,930 repair. I trusted them based on past experience and agreed to the repair. I was told that it would be ready in a day to a day in a half, wasn't ready for a week. During the process of the repair, I was told that my axel was broken, and they were going to repair it because "they couldn't determine if they had damaged it or not". I am not dumb, and with the information I now know, I feel if there was any way they could have avoided repairing the axel at their expense they would have. In addition to the suspension, there were a list of items that needed attention on my vehicle (most of the time when you take your car in for any repair, they make note of anything else that is or could become a problem in the future), however none of those were causing the issue I was complaining about. In addition to the axel, they also said my ABS sensor and speed sensor went out and since that happened in their possession, they would be replacing those as well. I was told prior to pick up that my abs sensor was out because they had to unplug it to make the repair to the suspension, and AFTER they unplugged it they researched and found that with my vehicle type unplugging it often causes issues with wiring to that sensor, so "take it to Ford to have that fixed". I thought... ok so you waited until after you unplugged something to research any issues that may arise? And now I am expected to take it somewhere else to fix it? Irritating, but I would have dealt with that. When I picked up my vehicle, my steering wheel was so tight it literally hurt my arms to turn, the abs sensor light was on (which I was informed prior to pick up), and none of my digital displays were working. Took the car right back the response was "all ford steering wheels are like that", and the digital displays were "reset". The next day I go to drive the car in addition to the ABS sensor light and the steering wheel, no digital displays recalibrating, the speedometer was also not working, and the original sound the car was making when I brought it in was back! Not only was it back, but it was also worse than it was to begin with. I brought the car back again, this time I get this 15-page long print out about how Ford can fix my car, and not to go over a certain mileage before I bring it in to Ford, because If I do then it will cost ME to have the computer reset. They are now saying all these added issues and possibly the sound (the one I spent $1,930 to fix) are all due to the computer going out coincidentally while the vehicle was in their possession. I was given multiple explanations as to why each issue occurred. I just couldn't let this go, so I emailed the manager, she responded with this long mechanical explanation that was way over my head and in my opinion meant to overwhelm me. Prior to responding to me, she sent her response to the owner who wrote her back and said, "this is great let me know how she responds". Surely, she dd not meant to copy me, since she did, I responded to her, and she could not be bothered to respond back. I don't know what her idea of running a business is, but If I owned a car shop and all of these "coincidences" happened at my establishment, I would at the least apologize, even if all I did was back my manager. I almost forgot to mention, the manager called me prior to the repair being complete and asked me to go ahead and pay so that the mechanics could get credit for the work they had done on the upcoming paycheck. Like an IDIOT I did. Ford cannot assess my vehicle until 10/11, this process started 9/16. I will have been without a vehicle that is safe to drive for a month at best when/ if this is all over. I will NEVER trust another mechanic. I am out two grand, and who knows what will end up being the actual problem with my car. It is a terrible feeling, when you know you are being completely screwed over and the business knows there is not a thing I can do. I am devastated. read more

Get into this Meineke! Sean and the other Techs do a great job with oil changes, brakes, and other services. Stop by and have your oil changed while you wait. This is the only Meineke in Mobile and if they weren't good they wouldn't have lasted this long. Sometimes they have taco, food trucks, etc. to create a fun, easy going atmosphere. When I pass through Mobile and need service this is my stop. read more

I got a flat tire and brought my car in to get a new one. The location is super convenient to South Alabama's campus and John was a huge help and never tried to get me to buy anything i didn't need. All the guys here are great! read more

This was my first encounter with Meineke, and I was a bit skeptical but to my surprise. It was the best encounter I have ever experienced with a car care center, the staff was very courteous and polite, the technician took the time to drive my truck to hear the noise I was describing, as I am not a very knowledgeable as far as the suspension goes, but he found the problem and fix it with no problem. I came here a few weeks ago and Jenny was extremely friendly as well as very helpful in talking care of my car needs. The service guys were great. I like this place because it is a one stop shop and your car will feel brand new when they finish. I will be back. The location is great and I didn't have to wait too long.
