I chose Economy Tires to do my repair because of the reviews and the location. They did a wonderful job. They found a nail in my front tire and plugged it up. They couldn't remove my tire because I had a lock on it and didn't have the tool, but he put soap and water on the tire looking for the leak. He found it easily and I was out of there quickly and it was only $10! I felt so badly for them working in this heat that I gave them a nice tip for their services. I wouldn't hesitate to go to these gentlemen to fix your tires. They took good care of me and were very honest.

The car is the W211 chassis which I've always liked since it first came out. A generally very reliable car. I've been driving BMWs and Mercedes since the 80's and wanted to get her a safe, reliable and low maintenance car. That said owning these cars can be inexpensive but only if you don't let things go too far maintenance wise. You also do need a knowledgeable mechanic and he can save you a LOT of money and lower your Total Cost of Ownership. Before delivering it to her I had my mechanic of 20 years service the car and also had him perform all the minor repairs and work it needed using only new Mercedes parts. Unfortunately a few weeks after being delivered to her the car's alarm decided to fail and began running down her battery silently 3 nights in a row. One of the guys with the service and towing guys suggested Harlan Automotive. I ended up talking to Mike at Harlan Automotive and was very pleased with his technical knowledge and dedication to customer service. He even arranged rides for my mom to get to and from the shop. He fixed the problem the first time for the price agreed, and delivered her repaired vehicle within the promised time window including the ordering and delivery of the new alarm module. I also want to take a moment to address a theme I saw on a couple of other Yelp comments. My sense of things is that Harlan Automotive is an honest shop providing top shelf garage services to drivers who are interested in a fair price to maintain their vehicles. It's not going to be the absolute cheapest place but they're fair, honest, reliable and quality focused. They also stand behind their work and went out of their way to help my elderly mother.

DO NOT GO HERE. I have had multiple issues with them. first they looked at my car and told me they…read moreneeded to replace my timing chain. a couple thousand dollars later and i had to go back the next day because the car smelled like oil. turns out there was a valve that wasn't sealed correctly and they had to fix that. a couple months later, i took my car back and they said the timing chain needed to be replaced. as if THEY HADN'T JUST REPLACED IT. so they had to do it again because i guess they did it wrong the first time. Then, the key to my wife's car broke and we needed to replace it. they told her MULTIPLE TIMES both in person and on the phone that they replace keys and we would just need to bring the car and key fob in. when we set up the tow truck to bring the car in, the tow guy called to make sure that they do keys. turns out, they LIED to my wife. they do NOT replace keys, they were planning on replacing the ENTIRE IGNITION SYSTEM and charging her I'm sure thousands of dollars for no reason. TLDR; they do shoddy work and you have to go back over and over for them to fix it, and they will lie to customers to be able to up charge them. do not take your car here.

When they refilled the tire after the repair, a belt broke and I ended up having to buy a new tire. That was negative #1. The tires weren't balanced afterwards, so it rode with a shudder until we got someone else to fix it. The biggest problem I had was when they either were changing the oil or fixing the tire, they slammed my front bumper into something (my car is lower to the ground) cause damage to my driver's side bumper. Now I could have handled that better, but the kicker was, on my sheet that outlined what services were rendered, they put at the bottom that I came to them with my bumper like that. Which I absolutely did not, I think I would have known that happened had I been the one to do it. But because they lied on the paper, my lawyer said it was basically my world against theirs and that I probably would not have enough money to go against a big company such as Walmart, which is true. So I will have to repair all of the damage myself and warn any and everybody I can not to trust this place. I'm sure there is camera footage somewhere of what happened but, again, I'm only a nurse and do not make enough to fight this when it would be cheaper just to fix it myself.
