Mod Events is a collaborative of event lighting and photo booth rental. The owner, Chris, came to…read moreour rescue when our original photo booth rental left us high and dry a month before our wedding (deciding that they were no longer taking reservations for 2012, even though we have e-mails proving our reservation). We had already ordered lighting from Chris and the only reason we didn't reserve Mod's photo booth in the beginning is because it was out of our budget (however, it was the one we really wanted to begin with). Mod is professional, fun, amazing, and has the BEST photo booth and lighting equipment around. It was absolutely worth spending the extra money, as the photo booth made our wedding unforgettable! The lighting made the ballroom (Shadowland) SO romantic and beautiful. My wife and I, as a same-sex couple, did not expect to have such great service (especially in West Michigan) but Mod along with all of our other vendors, was extremely accepting and amazing. Seriously, hire them for your wedding or other event- you will NOT regret it!! Also, I can't believe they didn't already have a page on Yelp but I am happy to be the first to review them!

Randy was extremely easy to work with throughout the process. There were plenty of options when it came to print templates, but when we described what we wanted to Randy, he designed a custom template for us! We opted to go with the large photo booth (8'Wx8'L), and couldn't be happier with our decision. There were a couple of advantages to this; we were able to comfortable fit a large number of people into one shot, and the shot was always great because we had photo booth attendants taking the pictures. They brought plenty of props, too! Our guests had so much fun--there were plenty of pictures, all of which they were able to access in our online album within 48 hours of the reception. Randy also made it a point to ensure that my husband and I, as well as our wedding party, got several pictures in the photobooth throughout the night. We truly appreciated this, because with everything going on as the bride and groom, we could have easily missed out on the fun. Dale did an amazing job of working with us to plan the party we wanted. He was very thorough in asking us about our preferences for the evening, from music selection to the level of crowd interaction we wanted. Like a lot of people, we were very particular about the playlist, and Dale found every song that we asked for, including some semi-obscure Memphis soul and French jazz. He also adapted to a few changes on the spot, and even asked us if it was okay to take requests once our guests started getting into it. I can't say enough good things about our experience.
