BUYER BEWARE: Less than 6 months after buying a 2012 VW Jetta from LGE Autos in Wilton Manors... I…read morewas handed a $3,700 repair bill... The car's TIMING CHAIN and ENGINE had failed. I was STRANDED... Broken down 250 miles from home... This is when I found out, LGE Autos sold me a car that was under a CLASS ACTION LAWSUIT... Apparently they didn't know it... (Makes you wonder what else they don't know about the cars on their lot.) After getting the repairs done, I called Jack at LGE. He said "i am not sure what i can do but i will make an effort to make some calls..." In the end, the only help LGE offered was to get me a deal on used parts... and was reluctantly willing to cover only about $300 in labor costs. So, I guess with LGE "as is" really means "AS IS..." even if the engine fails mere weeks after you drive it off the lot. If you choose to buy from LGE, I hope you have better luck than me.

Before traveling, I asked multiple times whether all the necessary documents for the car were available. Each time I was told that everything was in order and that there were no issues with the paperwork. Based on that information, I took the time and expense to travel there. I inspected the car, test drove it, and checked everything in detail. On the same day, I signed the contract and transferred the money shortly afterward. After that, the problems began. I was repeatedly told that they needed a bit more time to prepare the documentation. After asking 20-30 times about the status and when the car could be picked up for export, I barely received any clear answers. Then in January I was suddenly told that they had a problem: they could no longer find one of the documents required to export the car. They offered to either find another car of the same brand and value or refund my money. I tried to be fair and gave them two more weeks to see if they could locate the missing document. I told them that if they couldn't find it within that time, I would expect a refund. Again, nothing happened. When I contacted them again asking what was going on, they simply told me to send them an address so they could issue a check. The problem is that a check in Europe is essentially worthless and extremely difficult to process. I politely asked them to return the money via a bank transfer instead. Three days ago I contacted them again about this matter. At this point I have also involved my legal insurance and a lawyer, who are now preparing the next legal steps against this company due to their extremely poor and unprofessional handling of this situation.

At the last minute, I get a call from Noel (who is THE WORST to deal with) and he said that it has a salvage title. YOU HAVE GOT TO BE KIDDING ME!!! After hearing from both of them that the title is clear! Then he asked on the phone what I would pay for it with a salvage title. He refused my offer. They wanted me to pay the same price for a vehicle with a salvage title as I was going to pay for a clear title. TYPICAL BAIT AND SWITCH!
