I love all the fresh made khmer foods and all the vegetable or really good and fresh also and meat even even seafood

A vast Asian market within our area with pantry items, fruit, vegetables, frozen foods, and more. Usually the produce is clean and well packed. Often the staff are preparing the fish and meat during their store hours. Staff have always been nice and they usually can take apply pay if their machine is working. I will continue to be a loyal customer to this small business! read more

I am so sorry to write this review with one star and hopefully the owner will make sure they sell fresh frozen foods. My mom bought three packs of quails and she open one pack and the meat was kinda purple and weird. She had to bring the other two packs and requested for the refund. However, the owner refused to do so, it's not about refundable or not, it's about the health issues. I hope the owner read this message and check it out. My mom told me she will bring the pictures and videos to the city hall. I will ask her not to do so. read more

Cleanest Asian store in Lynn. I have not returned elsewhere since shopping here . Produce is typically good, large variety of raw meat and seafood. If you can think it, you can probably get it here; 25lb bags of rice, individual or large boxes of packaged noodles, sweets, soups, seasoning, condiments, scratch tickets, back scratchers lol, knives, literally almost anything. The doors are automatic so when your hands are full you can just walk out hassle free. Street parking available. but even better, they have their own parking lot located along the side of the building. Everyone that works there is helpful and have always been really kind. read more

For all my Asian groceries, I usually shop at Full Moon Market, but ever since Mekong opened their doors, I prefer to drive the extra mile here. This market provides a spacious parking lot, which is a plus for a market on western ave. If you have ever tried to dine or stop at a convenience store on this street, you will understand exactly what I mean! The store is neat, well organized and fully stocked. The produce and meat/seafood sections are always fresh. Occasionally they offer reduced prices like your local supermarket, so they can quickly get rid of "old" inventory.. Everything is relatively easy to find. The isles aren't a tight squeeze. The girls who work here, who you will happen to encounter a majority of the time, are friendly and engaging and definitely eager to assist you in anything you need. I appreciate their updated card payment system. I no longer have to hand over my card at the register for the cashiers to swipe it for me. It's much faster and they accept more forms of payment. I believe they give you the option of Apple Pay? But I could definitely be wrong, so don't take my word for it lol. (FYI, photos are courtesy of Mekong Market's Facebook page. I usually shop in Dorchester or at cmart in Chinatown for my veggies. But since it's crappy weather today this store is nearby. I asked one of the young girls if she can show me where the dried tamarid is , they both looked at me and point down the aisle. Like go look for yourself. The Vietnamese herbs doesn't have prices listed on the packages. So they can charge you whatever. Almost all of their items doesn't have a price sticker. When I check the receipt it doesn't tell you what items are being charged. Just codes and pricing. By law it is not legal to sell products without pricing. I don't know how this place is getting away with it. read more

I really like this market. They have a lot of options for noodles and sauces that I otherwise can't find. The store is clean. The people that work there are so nice and helpful! I don't eat meat but there fish and meat areas are chock full also. I scanned the fruit section and herbs and found everything I needed and it all smelled wonderful (sweet basil was amazing). My only low point was seeing if they had any faux meats which they did not but they did have tofu and some miso soups with wheat gluten. Overall I was pleased. I will likely still have to go to HMart for faux meats since I am vegan but its definitely a quick go to nearby that I would trust. read more

First off, Mekong Market is well organized and has high cleanliness with overall appeal. Aisles are neat in appearance and lighting is good for customers to browse through items clearly. My complaint for the 2 Star Rating is due to frustration with poor handling of customer service. My mother purchased and paid for groceries from this fairly new Mekong Market. On our drive home, she noticed there has been duplicate charges for sack of rice. We only bought one, yet the receipt shows double charge. Thankfully, we were not so far from the store. We returned back promptly. My mom and I went into the store together to talk to cashier who handled our transaction. She verified the receipt and acknowledged it was an overcharge, as the other rice bag was indeed still in the store. Thinking issue is clear and resolved, mom went back into car with the receipt while I wait for the refund to be issued. Cashier was courteous and understanding. However, there was another lady who may be higher up according to her demeanor. I was already flustered in trying to get back to store soon enough to have this error corrected. Despite seeing my frustration, she told me I need to go get receipt to verify again, although it was previously verified already. So, I had to rush back out of store to get receipt from mom. Upon showing her receipt, her tone was lacking in kindness and understanding, and jest question of why don't I simply buy both bags of rice? Condescending and manner of processing overcharge agitated me, and so my experience was subpar in reference to others. Besides this, the store is well set up and organized. read more

I walked-in and grab few things, in-out about cash out suddenly saw this Hispanic woman standing piss all over herself! WTF!? Seriously? It's a store people goes in-out, shop for food. When people tend to have diabetes or what they might have that does piss on themselves used a common sense and put a damn pull-up diaper on!? I have to mentioned to the cashier have him to clean it off, what he does he went and grab a towel and put back where he found it. He went back and use the same latex gloves and touch the food and put in the bag?! Seriously! It's COVID-19 and people still can't put their common sense together!? Please god help me! This place needs to put their act together and use a common sense! Animals even use their knowledge when or where to piss especially they use their sense. This is My overall experience! read more

This is a great discovery for me. My usual Asian grocer recently closed up shop. Google searched and found this nearby option. This place is SO much nicer and CLEANER than the old place I went to. (No wonder the old place closed up shop!). Anyway, they have fresh herbs, roots, Asian vegetables and general produce. Plus all types of dry goods, fresh noodles, fresh meats. Lena introduced herself to me on my first visit and she was super helpful and nice. She remembered me the second time I came in. I'm somewhat of a decent home cook with a love of Asian. I'm male, 62yo and non-Asian, so I'm probably not her typical customer. She was very helpful in identifying products and even offering suggestions for better alternate products. If you're slightly unsure or are shy about approaching an Asian grocer (weirdly, I was too when I was very much younger), everyone there was so friendly and wanting to help. They are in a very busy area on Lynn, yet they have their own fenced-in parking lot. Very convenient. Otherwise would have to drive in to Chinatown, which is not easy. Total thumbs up! read more
