Seriously, I was at the point where it was pay for support or quit breastfeeding (which wasnt really an option as my daughter hates bottles and screams the house down!). When my daughter was screaming, getting gassy, having problems latching and I was in such pain it was time to call in the expert! I had spoken to two doctors and a number of lactation consultants at breastfeeding support groups and what kept coming up was "thrush" or poor latch. Sarah came to my house, watched how I fed my daughter, helped with some positioning and also checked how I pumped and my daughter's mouth. It was found that my daughter had a tongue tie (which had not been diagnosed by anyone previously...) and could easily be rectified. Additionally it was confirmed by Sarah that I was also experiencing Raynaud's. Sure enough we took my daughter to the doctor and she had the tongue tie operation and since then almost all of the problems have been solved. I really was at my wits end. Sarah is professional but friendly and is also very knowledgeable. I would definitely recommend her services to anyone who is having any problem with breastfeeding. Sarah regularly contacts me for updates and provides information wherever needed. Amazing service which ensured we could continue feeding!

By day two my nipples were cracked and bleeding. I knew something was wrong but I had nowhere to turn. I found Sarah's number and she was able to come see me that afternoon. She helped me out big time. My son was tongue tied and lip tied. I started using a nipple shield until I was able to see the doctor. She also helped with some homeopathic meds for the procedure. I had such an amazing experience at Acorn Community Birth Center. From the beginning to the end and…read moremy postpartum visits, it was just such a wonderful experience. I was first greeted by Cristi, the executive director and midwife. She made me feel at ease and made me and my husband feel very comfortable. The birth center itself is in a peaceful community in Fallbrook. It has 3 birth rooms to choose from that are themed differently. I believe I chose the green room which acquired to my liking and it was extremely peaceful. The rooms are a good size and very comfortable. My birth experience was just perfect thanks to my midwife Debbie and the student midwives, Azure and Mel. They were so patient, kind, and so knowledgeable. I believe I met most of the midwives and they are all lovely. I love how you get to do your birth, your way, and the midwives guide you while following your lead. I don't trust traditional hospitals and I would much rather do a holistic birth with midwives, just as it has been done for ages. I would choose Acorn over and over again if I were to have more children. I even had to switch my health insurance just so I could give birth at the center versus a hospital and it was so worth it. It was such a beautiful experience.

I never thought I would ever do a natural birth... but here I am! I will start by saying, natural birth is HARD. I went into my first unmedicated birth not knowing what to expect but I prefer it that way but boy was I determined!!!! Second time around I was nervous, anxious.. all the things! My first experience was great, although after labor I experienced some hemorrhaging. Once staff figured what was wrong they acted fast and I was relieved. It was a little traumatic for me but it didn't taint my experience with Acorn. I came back for round two!!! 2nd time around two years later! I delivered my baby girl on February 20th, my experience from start to end was amazing. During labor the team gives you and your partner space, during those moments were truly special. And probably one of my favorites. I had Cristi Sedona and Kyra for my team! And I would choose the same 3 every-time. Each of them brought a different vibe, but it was a mix that you need on your team! I can't thank them enough for making each experience so special, For me my husband and my family! If I was having more kids, no questions asked... I would do it again.... and again....

Dr Huott Is amazing!…read more Very knowledgeable and he's Patient. I say that with a capital P and he's humble, quiet and mild. He doesn't rush you through your appointment, instead he patiently listens to everything that you have to tell him and then asks lots of questions then makes his diagnosis or decides what further tests you need. It's nice that he is such a good listener because you feel like he's able to understand what's really going on. Turns out my family member needed to have surgery and Dr Huott was honest about the different surgeons that we could go to, which ones had good bedside manner and which ones didn't but, were good surgeons. We liked that he was truthful because now we know what to expect. I also really appreciate that when you use the Follow my Health app to communicate with him he will personally email you or call you. My family member's situation was pretty serious and he had no openings for months. We asked to be put on a waiting list for cancellations and were able to be seen within a week. After he finally did see us The MRI came back with problems that needed to be addressed quickly. So he came in early one morning just so he could go over the MRI and explain the options. How many doctors do that anymore? He could've just sent us a message to go see a surgeon but instead he wanted to go over the MRI in detail to help my family member understand the gravity of the situation, because he knew that my family member already was waffling about surgery. Seriously he's a nice guy. We really feel that he cares for us. Our family totally trusts him and will always go to him for any neurologist type problems. I just can't say enough nice things about him. I hope this helps with your research on doctors to see. We love Dr Huott and have already been recommending him to our friends and family. He also comes highly recommended by his peers.

This guy never returns calls and it takes weeks to get in with him…read more When I met with him with my daughter, he spent the majority of our meeting questioning what other doctors had told us in the past. I didn't have the answers to his questions, and he seemed irritated at me about that. I told him she should contact these doctors, and ask these questions doctor to doctor. I signed released for that to happen, but he never called. This doc was also pretty useless about providing referrals or resources related to my daughter's problem. He didn't mind ordering tests, however.

I genuinely had such a positive experience. I went into it open minded, but honestly wasn't sure exactly what to expect, or how it would work. Julie was so down to earth, non judgemental, and comfortable to work with, the next thing I new I had tears flowing and was releasing emotions I didn't even realize I was holding. I definitely didn't truly believe any pain could be relieved by her healing process, especially in one sessio, and was so humbled to experience myself how, as I released certain emotions, some back pain I was feeling eventually melted away to almost completely gone. I was honestly shocked, at how effective the process was, and now am really motivated to do mlre of the exercises she teaches. I wanted to write a little more for those truly interested, so they can get a sense of who she is. Julie is not only a natural, compassionate healer, but she is one of the most genuine people I've met in a while. We met last summer at the pool on our neighborhood, and just connected. I'm from Boston and her son's name was Boston , haha! From there, when we saw each other in passing, usually while she was out walking her dog, we got to talking. What I love about Julie is she's so good with animals, my 6 year old ( she gives such great parenting advice to me) and is just such an authentically kind person. I also respect that she is open minded (esp. with all spiritual beliefs/ religions), always learning, and she's not pushy at all with her business.
