The photos truly capture the love, joy, and fun of the day! It rained nonstop all day, but they were very professional and kept everyone having fun despite the circumstances...and the photo results speak for themselves! An added bonus is that David and Katie are so much fun and pleasant to be around. Couldn't have picked two better people to follow me around nonstop all day! :) Engagement Session: David shot our engagement photos the other day. It was cold for April, but he had a great sense of humor and made the whole thing a really fun experience. Not only was it fun, but he also really knew what was doing. He instructed us how to pose, but in a way that captured our natural chemistry and goofiness as a couple. The natural light he used for almost all of our photos made them look magical. The quality of the photos is excellent and we had a great time taking them - can you ask for anything else? Oh, and he showed up early and has so far been very reliable! I am so excited for our wedding and so glad we went with David as our photographer!

We wanted someone who could not only capture the moment but also our personalities. We were fairly intimidated when we started shopping around. My husband has been studying photography for awhile and had some very specific ideas about his wants and don't wants. We both agreed that we wanted a photographer who would get as much right in-camera and have a subtle touch with the post-processing work. Since we were going for a pretty non-traditional wedding, we also needed someone who would "get" it... or, at least, be game for it. We lucked out with Sarah across the board. Pretty much from the moment we met her at a consult, we were sold. Not only does she have extremely solid photographic and post-processing skills, she is exceptionally nice and out-going. We had a blast at an engagement shoot in Granville. She had great ideas and was open to suggests of location/pose/etc... A couple weeks after the shoot, Sarah came by and we went through the shoot to pick out shots to enhance. Then a couple weeks later (due to technical issues), we got the results and they were fantastic! At this point, we knew we'd chosen the right person to photograph our wedding. About a month before the ceremony, we went over a shot list (our requested photographs) and asked that Sarah take as many candids as she wanted. We also gave her a warning; the event location (16-Bit bar & arcade) is quite dark and that could be an issue. On our event day, Sarah arrived promptly and went to work right away. She took mostly candid shots with a few posed shots mixed in. She blended in with the crowd so that you didn't know that she was there most of the time.. but she also mingled freely and looked like she was having as much fun as the rest of us! This past weekend we were able to get a look at the pictures. And they are amazing! They are so good that we aren't having any of them enhanced. Typically, I hate the way I photograph but she got some shots of me where I look fantastic. We are thrilled with the photographs that Sarah took. I would highly recommend her for wedding, event or portrait photography. She also teaches some photography classes every so often. Her Facebook page is more frequently updated than her website so check for her there.

I gave Rebekah a call (actually, I sent her bf a Facebook message), and she was happy to help me! Before the event, Rebekah asked for my expectations and the types of shots I wanted. We talked through the two events she was photographing, and we both felt good about them. She showed up early for the event and quietly got to work capturing some amazing shots of the event. Then, she left the first event in Dublin and traveled to the second one in Grandview. She beat me there and got right to work. I just opened my photos from the events, and they are spectacular. I know Rebekah's Facebook and website don't boast a lot about her event photography, but I think that's where she shines. She really captured the spirit and the joy in both events, and the photos will be fantastic marketing tools for me and the businesses featured. I'm really impressed with Rebekah's photography, and I had such a great experience working with her. Here are a few specifics of what I loved: -She asked for expectations upfront. -She arrived on time and didn't need much direction. -She walked the fine line of being part of the event but also blending into the background; sometimes photographers are so noticeable that people won't let their hair down and act natural. For the engagement pictures we went down to a park along the scioto river, we brought our new at the time puppy to be party of the photo shoot :) ! Amanda was so patient with him and got some great shots of him! The wedding day came and so did Amanda with two assistant photographers. Amanda did a wonderful job catching all the moments that I said were important to me as well as 900 extra moments! Each photographer took around 1000 pictures, so between the three of them, there was not a special moment missed! It was really important to me to have all types of pictures, the formal ones, the ceremony moments, artsy pictures, editorial pictures and journalistic. We hired Lois for 2 different sessions - to take our daughter's senior pictures @ Purdue in the Fall AND post-graduation ceremony family pictures. FYI - I did call around & priced other photographers. Lois' fee is very reasonable. Plus, I have the rights to the digital pictures with no set number of pictures to buy from her. And she sent us the gallery in a matter of weeks - fast turnaround time. For the Fall session, Lois communicated with my daughter on photo spots desired & gave sound advise on the clothes that would pop with the Fall foliage background. She had scoped out the campus a few days prior and gave us good advise on what's best for lighting purposes. It was a very relaxed session and the pictures were great. We also wanted Lois to take our family pictures after graduation. We met @ a designated location (arches on State) and she formed in line a few minutes early to get us going. Lois even did me a favor - she bought a couple of champagne bottles for our cork popping photos. Despite the frigid weather (27 degrees), we walked to several locations as my daughter wanted pictures in iconic spots on campus.
