Each design is created by our artists in a variety of styles, ranging from traditional to modern/contemporary. We work with customers to create a design that matches their visions; artists then produce full-scaled detailed renderings, called cartoons, that serve as blueprints in the cutting, painting and assembly of the stained glass. Glass colors and textures are carefully chosen then hand cut, many designs are hand painted using the cartoon as a guide, and then each piece is re-assembled with lead came placed in between. The came is soldered, then each panel is waterproofed by brushing a special compound into the came. Finally, each panel is cleaned, brushed down and reinforced with steel bracing. Despite that, I was told the refund could NOT be issued back to my original payment method and that only store credit would be provided due to "system limitations" between online and in-store purchases. What followed was hours of confusion, conflicting instructions from staff and management, and repeated customer service emails that ultimately confirmed there is no ability to issue a refund to the original card--even when the return is valid and within policy. This is not a small detail. The website states items can be returned within 90 days, which reasonably implies a standard refund if the return is valid. That is not what actually happens when returning online orders in-store. After multiple attempts to resolve this, I was still offered only store credit or conditional workarounds, not a refund. At minimum, customers deserve clear, upfront disclosure that online purchases returned in-store will NOT be refunded to the original payment method. That is a significant and misleading gap in expectation vs. reality. I am sharing this so other customers are not surprised after the fact the way I was.
