At the beginning of January, I reached out to Amy asking her for help booking our 2-week honeymoon to New Zealand and Fiji. We connected the same day and she reached out over the phone, and then had us fill out a form with our vision. The target was a late March-early April trip, just in time to catch good weather in both countries. Over 2-3 months, Amy worked tirelessly to cover off on every little detail. As the sample itineraries came in, she listened intently to our concerns and preferences, helped us scenario plan ("Travel north? Or south?") And gave her professional opinion as a travel agent without being pushy. She also hooked us up with someone at Down Under Answers who was more knowledgeable than she was about New Zealand adventures to help us experience the most we could out there. We traveled from Montclair, New Jersey to Queenstown to Rotorua to Auckland to Fiji. It was virtually seamless but only because we worked with such a talented and caring travel agent who helped us plan realistic, vacation-appropriate timelines. They carted my tush to the airport every week for 3 months for work travel to DC in 2008, it was great. They were on time, nice cars and I even had the owner a bunch of times. [Insert random perfectly fine trips to the aiport sporatically in 2009] In 2010 they were once again taking me to the airport every week for 2 months for work travel to Detroit. I don't know what happened, and it certainly wasn't over night - but the service started to decay since 2008. Cars were late, smelly, drivers were not professional (not helping with bags), etc. There was one occurance where they were so late, I told them to forget it, drove myself to the airport and barely made my flight. Fast forward to my family trip last week. Out of habit, I call Nutley limo and book a car for a 6:30 AM pickup. We're running around getting everything ready to go, and I look down and its 6:36, no car. I call, get placed on hold forever, then finally he says "He'll be there in 4 minutes, give or take." Give or take what? Silence. 6:50 the car finally rolls up. I'm fuming, but silent. When we get to the airport and my husband and mother in law disappear into the aiport, I ask the driver: So what happened this morning? He replies: "I got a call a little after 6:30 when I was at Newark dropping off another passenger to come pick you guys up" Well I guess that answers the question of "give or take" Are you serious? Fool me once, shame on you, fool me twice, shame on me. This company has certainly had their three strikes with me, and guess what buddy: You're out! Never ever again will you drive: me, my husband, my family, any of my friends or anyone in Nutley that I can warn about your crappy company. I asked the driver to relay this exact message to you (after giving a generous tip, it wasn't the drivers fault afterall) and I intend to keep my promise.

Was on the porch at 6:20. 6:35 rolls around, I call and was told "you not there, we was there - 5 minutes." 5 minutes pass, call again, we're out front. (I discover they went to the WRONG TOWN!). When the driver shows up at 7:07, not only is he late, and the vehicle dirty, but he's smoking! It was too late to turn back now. Who in this day and age smokes in a car? And what sort of company lets their drivers smoke? Never again.
