I went to MBeauty Studio for my first-ever full set of lashes. The studio itself is absolutely beautiful--clean, calming, and very aesthetically pleasing. That's the main reason I'm giving two stars instead of one. I booked a next-day morning appointment with the only tech available at the time. As a first-timer, I was a little confused and surprised that no consultation was offered before starting. I shared clear reference photos of what I wanted--light, fluffy, wispy lashes with that spiky, anime-inspired texture. Unfortunately, what I received was a short, curled, clustered lash line that didn't resemble the look I had requested. While I didn't speak up in the moment due to anxiety, part of me felt there wasn't much point if the tech wasn't capable of delivering the style and there was no one else available to fix it. My eyes were very sore afterward, and the entire experience felt uncomfortable. For the high price, it just didn't feel worth it. I also believe there's a responsibility on the part of ownership and management in any beauty studio to ensure that all techs are trained to a consistent level of talent and artistry--especially when offering premium services. That consistency is key to a positive client experience, and sadly, it was missing in my case. I had been considering them for nano brows, but after this, I'll likely look elsewhere.

Times and priorities change.... I decided to give it a try. I had my full back and shoulders done, for just over $100 not including tip. The appointment was easy to book online. Set up an account, book the time, you pay when the service is complete. I booked both services with Cassandra. She was superb! The girl at the reception counter was very sweet too. There were some parts that did hurt quite a bit, but it is over quick. Once the was is pulled off, the pain only lingers for a few seconds. She didn't laugh at me while I was spewing a stream of curse words every time a section was pulled. She may have had to go over some spots twice - sorry! The soothing gel treatment at the end really cools the whole area off. The whole thing was over in 30 minutes, maybe a little longer. Now I feel a bit less embarrassed taking my shirt off at the beach or pool, and no worries about the reactions when a woman touches my back. Definitely would recommend.

The manager said that what I was asking for was very basic and simple and that way it wouldn't be a problem. Halfway through I was suffering in a lot of pain. I don't know exactly what they were doing to me, but when I went to the bathroom (which was broken) I was horrified at the image, staring back at me. I looked like a cheap prostitute. The eyelashes were so full and thick and nothing like the natural look I had showed them. I immediately went to the manager, and the owner was with her, and he tried to convince me that I looked great and better than the photo that I had shown him. He never apologized, and they made no attempt to reconcile the situation. When the job was finished, I insisted that I should not be paying for this because it was nothing like what I asked for and I had to really fight hard for that. The male owner was so intensely rude to me that I could not pay for this! I insisted that I should not have to pay to look like this, and he kept trying to convince me about how how much time and effort the worker put into me and that she deserved to be compensated. It was quite an argument, and I felt terrible about myself when I left. This business was completely unprofessional. I was treated so horribly. Not only was the service ugly, but the business aesthetic is akin to your local DMV. I was also forced to listen to an hour and a half news broadcast from President Trump at full-volume. My nail technician was always kind and patient and wonderful. My problem was with the people at the front end. More than once I was either not greeted or treated rudely. What happened last week was the last straw. I errored on the time I was supposed to be there. But I wasn't late... I was 4 1/2 hours early! For some reason I had my appointment down for 10:30 AM when it wasn't until 3 PM or 3:30 PM. At this point I don't recall because it doesn't matter anyway. In a very firm and unfriendly tone the owner said to me, "your appointment isn't until 3 PM ". I was in shock and not loudly just said... No it's now. She said no it's at 3 PM. I showed them my phone at which time the lady standing next to her walked back and asked my nail technician. She at that point came forward and said Karen look... She still had the email we exchanged regarding my change of time. I said oh my God I don't know how this happened. The owner flirts out, "well if you would get the text messages this wouldn't happen ". I opted out of the text messaging because it was constant. That and the phone calls and I found it extremely annoying. In the years I have been going there this was the first time I screwed up and there was no reason for them to treat me the way they did. I never asked for a freebie... They are pricey... But I like going so I paid for it as long as I could afford to. As a business owner the lady in charge should know that you treat your customers equally. I sent my Tech a text message telling her what I thought of them and the way they treated me but of course because they are her coworkers and her "friends ", I was given the heave ho. I used some strong language but I think anyone in my situation would've felt the same way. I really should've just let it go but I felt it important to notify the Public. The reason I should've let it go and I will after today is because I no longer have artificial nails and I will now go back to going to any walk-in salon as needed. Or if I'm going to an event. I called and went back and cedalia the woman who works there asked me if id like it laminated or tinted again. first off , why are u asking me if your the professional one? second I said whatever you think is best . and than she agreed with laminating them again and she did . the next two days after My appt my hair was gone . legit my eyebrows had a lot of breakage and i have bald spots , her as a "professional "should of known if she laminated it again it would cause breakage . never again will i go back ! I have no eyebrows now and now im going to pay more money to fix mine . so sad ! they did not give me no lamination effect and their tint doesn't last for more than 2 days ! terrible !

As I'm getting my service, my cousin wanted to watch the procedure of the threading. There was another customer in the chair next to me getting her eyebrows tinted. As my cousin was standing next to my chair, one of the workers said to my cousin "excuse me? Can you go sit down? My client is right here". Forcing her to leave my side. The client didn't seem bothered at all by my cousin standing next to me so it was quite a waste to tell her to move. Mind you ...I AM also a client and I wanted her to watch so that flustered me. After I was done, the lady who did my eyebrows didn't ask me if I liked it or even show me an up-close mirror--she just ran right up to the register to check me out. Didn't give a crap about if I'm satisfied. Don't bother with this place. There's a place called The Threading Station (a kiosk) next to Francesca's that is 10x better--go there!!
