The massage, the 30 minute neck, back and shoulder massage was lovely, the treatment room nice, and the Elemis products they used were nice. 3. The afternoon tea, there was so much food we couldn't finish the cakes! A special mention has to go to the still warm scones and lashings of clotted cream. 4. The view, sitting in the outdoor hot tub in January looking out over the Moray Firth was just stunning! The lows: 1. The changing rooms are a bit tired looking, more like an old council leisure centre than a hotel spa. 2. The sauna, the nails in the benches were uncovered so were really hot and burny when you sat down! Overall, I liked it, and for what it cost it was great value for money!

There was also a large closet with a mini-fridge. Glen and John provided water, milk, tons of coffee, tea and hot chocolate, as well as two delicious lemon cupcakes! We had to arrive earlier than the typical 4:30 time to get into the rooms, but Glen and John were quite flexible, allowing us to drop our bags early, then we were on our way to sightsee. There is a great restaurant about a five minute walk down the road (The Dores Inn) with a great view of the entire Loch from the Dores Beach. Glen and John cooked a fantastic breakfast the next morning. The pancakes were soft and fluffy, the bacon and sausage delicious, the bread and jam homemade, and the eggs were from the chickens in the backyard! I tried the haggis, but I just don't like it--the other couple there assured me that it was cooked perfectly. There were booklets provided in the room with plenty of activities listed within, as well as detailed information about the B&B's policies and commitment to the environment--they try to run the B&B in the most environmentally friendly and sustainable way possible! If you're going Nessie hunting, definitely consider staying here!

There were several A-frame units, not crowded but part of the landscaped forest area. Units varied in size - ours had 3 beds upstairs. 2 baths. Heating was a bit tricky, and available in all rooms. The maintenance guy came over "to help us get it sorted"... another words - turn it on. Ha! Big puffy down blankets kept us warm, it's cold at night here (June). Big hotel with rooms to rent on the property. They had play areas, kids video and play areas too. Pool had really weird hours. Apparently it was disinfected every few hours or some such nonsense AND you had to make an appointment for available times (in mid-day). I think that would have been fun but didn't use it. An area outside with growling moving Dino's... large enough to be fun for kids... a surprise for us! We loved the extensive trail system and the ruins of a local castle on a tiny island in the lake. Trails are well marked. People were nice, staff was helpful. Area was pretty and quiet. Centrally located. Great transit system; we made appointments to see local attractions via trains / bus - gotta get the timing right and pay ahead. Note: there are stiff fines for cars traveling inside Edinburgh and London- check on this before you drive!

We stayed in one of the A-frame cabins on the property. It was about a ten minute walk to the main hotel building, which we were okay with as there were families with children running all around the main hotel building. The cabins were perfect for four of us who wanted to sleep, read and catch up with each other. Cabins are well laid out and nicely furnished. The Hilton Coylumbridge is outside of Aviemore by a little less than a mile. That meant any meals with alcohol in Aviemore meant one of us had to be a designated driver. We did take advantage of the on-site restaurant our last night, so all four of us were able to eat, drink and be merry. We will be back.

For dinner, I had the aubergine and my partner had the burger. Both were OK - but nothing special. We had also ordered a Bloody Mary and the server came back with the hot sauce, Worcestershire sauce and pepper and asked us to mix it ourselves. Just a very interesting experience...

Pulling in you are greeted by a castle-esque hotel. It is stunning. Plenty of parking out front and back. The inside is elegant and spacious. The staff were all extremely friendly and helpful. The rooms are beautiful. Huge bathrooms, plenty of room for storage, a work desk, kettle with tea and coffee, seating and tables, and of course the most comfortable bed. We ordered room service one night and they were very fast and the food was delicious and beautifully presented. We enjoyed the leisure room which is equipped with a heated pool, hot tub, sauna, steam room, and gym. Bathrooms are inside the pool area with lockers available for 1 euro. My only complaint about the entire stay was I wish the hot tub was hotter! It was more like a warm tub with jets, but it still felt amazing. We felt like Scottish royalty staying here, and if/when we return to Inverness, we will definitely be staying here again. Thank you so much for a memorable stay!
