The room has very comfy bunk beds and a luxurious washroom with shower. Perfect for hikers. There is access to a lovely patio where you can relax and enjoy a drink and listen to the birds and we even heard coyotes in the distance. A place to relax and enjoy the peace and quiet of nature. I also booked and so enjoyed a Thai Massage by Beth. I have never have had one before and wow! It was after a 15 km rigorous hike and just what I needed. I will be doing that again in the future and highly recommend this treatment. Beth is a lovely, kind host that is so willing to assist you any way she can.

Traveling from the U.S., I was unsure what to expect from Beth and Spirit Ridge, but I was not disappointed at all! The lovely studio is tucked away at the top of a large hill/ mtn with a beautiful view of of the forest and a bit of the bay. The studio is quiet, clean & welcoming and has every prop needed for class. I felt as if I was on retreat! As a host, Beth is genuine, caring and welcoming. As a teacher, she is considerate, knowledgeable and has so much to share. Take one of her classes and experience for yourself! This place is so special, I look forward to visiting again to expand my yoga knowledge with this lovely teacher! Also, Beth has beautiful accommodations for those needing an overnight stay and I would highly recommend her B&B experience! The grounds are beautiful with lots of outdoor seating places and a private waterfall. I was fortunate to visit for several weekend workshops, and the home cooked vegan/ vegetarian lunches were incredible! She is knowledgable about the local area and makes everyone feel comfortable and welcomed! If looking to host a workshop in this area, I would definitely recommend Beth Rutty's Studio. The hot towel compresses smelled of crème brûlée which was followed by agave nectar massage oil. Very nice! Then a half hour laying in the Ganban Volcanic Rock Studio listening to a relaxation meditation ... had it been longer, I would have fallen asleep! Rather than get our wine to-go, we enjoyed a glass of Pinot in rocking chairs on their patio. We felt very relaxed! Thanks, Nicky and Jessica!

Her glowing reviews were on point -- it was such a treat! 60 minutes of Power Vinyasa (all levels) in a boathouse, run by Jenn, the ultra positive and motivating instructor, looking out on a Monet-like sliver of Lake Rosseau. No need to bring a mat, they are provided to you and are clean. There are also blocks if you need them. You will see people of varying ages and abilities; I think that everyone would get something out of the classes. The flow kept me stimulated and I felt great after the hour. After your class, you can drop by the bakeshop (by Abbey's Bakeshop in Port Carling), the juice stand (by Ripe juicery, based in Barrie) or browse the Lululemon popup store. We were energized and after a quick lunch back at the cottage, we proceeded to walk and talk for hours. I was a bit sore the next morning, a clear indication that yoga classes should move beyond "treat" status for me... If you are up all summer you can access unlimited classes for $250. Otherwise it is $20 per class.
