Nevertheless, our driver knew his way around town (to pick up another fare before crossing the Bay), and avoided the construction zones expertly. The driver was exactly on time and apparently my stop was the last one and they go straight to SFO. Coming back, I was instructed to call the shuttle service number and allow 30 minutes for them to arrive at the pick-up location. Again, right on time. The shuttle does not drop off in SF, so Emeryville is always their first stop! The ride costs $34 each way, which I thought was such a bargain. I gave the driver a little extra and he told me it's only $34. I was shocked! Anyways, I gladly insisted he take the tip. All in all, I'd definitely use them again.

Disappointed by the Lack of Transparency and Fair Pricing…read more I booked Sky1 Worldwide Limousine for my daughter's wedding and paid a $1,300 deposit toward an original reservation of approximately $2,500 for two vehicles. At the time I made my deposit, I was never provided with a written contract, cancellation policy, or any document stating that my deposit was non-refundable. I was also never asked to acknowledge or sign any terms and conditions. When my transportation needs changed, I contacted the company to reduce my reservation from two vehicles to one. My expectation was that I would receive a revised invoice reflecting the actual cost of one vehicle. Instead, I was presented with a revised balance that did not logically or financially align with removing an entire vehicle from the reservation. Despite requesting clarification, I never received a transparent breakdown showing the cost of one vehicle, how the revised total was calculated, or why I was still being charged an amount that appeared to reflect much of the original two-vehicle reservation. Only after I questioned the charges was I provided information regarding the company's cancellation policy. I was also informed that a contract or written confirmation would be sent if I decided to proceed, which raised additional concerns because my deposit had already been accepted without a signed agreement or disclosed terms. Unfortunately, I lost confidence in moving forward with the reservation and chose to cancel. My advice to future couples is simple: before paying any deposit, ask for the complete contract, cancellation policy, pricing breakdown, and written terms. Make sure you understand exactly how deposits, reservation changes, and cancellations are handled before committing your money. I was disappointed by the overall experience and believe much of this situation could have been avoided with greater transparency from the beginning.

Pros: The driver was on time, polite, and kind. The bus itself was spacious and met our needs as far as setting up bluetooth and playing music. The driver followed our itinerary well and was on time for pick ups and drop offs. Cons: On the way back home, the bus started smoking out of the AC vents - it became overheated in the 100+ degree temperatures. After a full afternoon of wineries and about 20 minutes away from our destination, all 13 women had to evacuate on the side of a country road in the middle of no where. We had to carry all our belongings (ice chests, etc) to a small dirt side road in sweltering 100 degree temperatures. The bus was unable to continue the journey, so we had to call ubers and get relatives/friends to come pick us up and take us the rest of the way. While I understand that things happen, I expected more from Sky 1 Limousine in regards to a refund. They offered to cover the costs of the Uber (there was only 1) and refund us for the final 30 minutes of the booking. That is a meager 1/13th of the total cost - over $2100 - which means we will be refunded just barely more than $100. The bus breaking down really put a damper on a wonderful day. We are lucky we had relatives who were willing and able to come get us, given the heat. If any of the women were especially heat-sensitive or had pre-existing conditions that made being out in the heat/ standing for a long period of time difficult, this could have been a much worse situation. I expected more from Sky 1 Limousine and I am extremely disappointed in the service we received. I would not recommend them to anyone moving forward.

Umbrella Bus barely got our passengers from Point A to Point B, did not do so efficiently, and arguably didn't do it terribly safely. We booked Umbrella for a 54-passenger shuttle to transport wedding guests from our wedding hotel to our ceremony venue, and then from the ceremony venue to the reception venue ($1050 total). I confirmed this itinerary with their staff by email and phone several times (at least three), because they kept sending me invoices that only showed a partial itinerary, but they assured me that they had the correct itinerary written down and would read off the correct itinerary on the phone when I called. On the first trip, the bus driver got the bottom of the bus stuck on a steep hill, rendering it unable to move. Guests had to walk nearly a quarter mile from where the bus got stuck to the ceremony site. The bus was also blocking the entrance to the park where the ceremony was held, meaning that park visitors and several wedding guests who were behind it were severely delayed in getting into the park. We had a couple of guests who missed some of the wedding ceremony because the bus blocked the entrance for so long. It would've been 3.5 stars if only for this, since it wasn't 100% the driver's fault, though he should really have known what the buses he drives are able to handle. On the second trip, though, despite me confirming the destinations in the itinerary with Umbrella MULTIPLE TIMES, the driver had somehow been given the wrong destination by their dispatch, and took guests back to the hotel instead of to the wedding reception venue. My family members had to argue with the driver, who insisted that he'd been told to take everyone back to the hotel, and "I'm only doing two trips, how will people get back to the hotel?" but he eventually relented and took everyone to the reception instead, but meant that most of the guests were delayed by quite a bit in getting to the reception. This definitely wasn't the driver's fault though, and was clearly the fault of the company/dispatch. He did eventually take the guests where they needed to go, which we appreciate.
