There were zero efforts made to get our items back to us and zero efforts to help us get to the next winery or to help us get back home to SF ~ 2 hours. When trying to reach the owner of the company for any explanation or apology we were unsuccessful until the next day where the owner simply replied, "I'm out of town will talk to you tomorrow" - WTF! When we finally got ahold of him he was rude, unapologetic and definitely wanted little to do with us. In the end we have a suspicion that the van never really broke down but that they found a better/high paying opportunity instead. Who knows. All we do know is we were never refunded. Our personal items were not returned to us until the NEXT DAY leaving us without purses, coats ect, and to top it off the owner threatened to charge us for the one hour of service they did provide. Very unprofessional with little regard for the customer. It's very clear to us that this company and its owner cares little for their customers and is trying to make a quick buck any way they can. Needless to say we will not ever be recommending this company to any of our friends and family and we will be reporting them to the better business bureau. My name was on a sign, he helped me retrieve my luggage, and we walked together to the car parked close by. The driver asked me about my trip and we had a nice conversation on and off during the drive. As a solo female traveler, I felt safe. That was not my experience yesterday evening. The driver did not meet me at the bottom of the stairs. There was no sign. I received texts from 2 different numbers that were not clearly written. The driver texted and asked where I was. The owner texted and then called to be the intermediary as the drivers was clearly new and his ability to communicate not up to par. The owner started telling me what to do because his driver could not do his job, and I did not appreciate the attempt to twist the situation for me to take up the slack. This was a confusing and upsetting experience for me. The whole purpose was to avoid a ride share. I wanted a higher level of communication and safety because I was traveling alone at night. At least with those services you can track the vehicle, see the driver, check the license plate, and give feedback. None of that existed in this situation and based on my experience, I am not confident that the driver could have made the cut to work for a ride share company at this time. Finally, I understand the impact negative reviews can have on a business and I take posting one very seriously. I avoid them unless the situation is a correctable, safety and/or communication issue. I hope this review inspires some reflection and change.
