I would've understood if it went from 150 to 200 or even 250 but 400 is a total bait and switch. My hair does not even reach my behind. Why would you do that to someone? Day ruined, I was looking forward to this appointment. Edit- this unscrupulous business owner just lied and said that I sent a shorter hair picture previously, this is an utter lie, absolutely disgusting behavior. Because of this lie on a public forum, I will be filing a complaint with the Board of Barbering and Cosmetology. I have documentation of the entire conversation on my end.

The studio is located on Owensmouth between Sherman Way and Wyandotte. There is metered parking out in front but there is also a a few free parking spots if you can find one. Note: If you have an appointment on Saturday, arrive early and look for parking on the side streets. Firstly, I had to be the one to initiate a test strand to make sure my hair had the strength to go through a bleaching process, which was already a red flag but she kept on talking about how much people loved her work and that "if someone doesn't like the way it comes out they're weird." Which that comment was already disrespectful. She also talked down on the stylist that was kind enough to recommend her to me, asking me why she was scared to do my hair and that it was weird. Overall, I thought she knew what she was doing considering I was recommended to see her but please watch out ladies and make sure you communicate and watch out for red flags. So anyways, she moves onto working with my hair after asking her if she's sure she wants to proceed without a test strand. She seemed a little erratic and almost made me feel like she just wanted my money because there was no precaution and no regard of how I felt. So she starts working on my hair and everything was rushed and I was still late to work. I go to work with wet hair and wait for it to dry and notice what the color came out to look like and my hair being 10 times thinner when I had thick long hair. The color was nothing and actually quite opposite from what I wanted. I asked for a balayage with slightly lighter brown highlights (cool tones and specifically asked for no warm tones) but my entire hair color came out a warm tone with copper highlights with my hair fried off. All I cared was for the health of my hair and if she had done a test strand we could've moved on with more precaution rather than me paying a good amount of money and getting my hair ripped apart. Then she had the audacity to tell me I should wear extensions and that she's sorry she didn't make me lighter and that she can't lift my hair more when that couldn't be further than the point I made. I explained to her over text and in person that my main concern was that I cared for the health of my hair and that If my hair wasn't capable of lifting and that if it would fry off, I would've just left it as is. She ignored all of my text messages, toned my hair the wrong color again and still didn't respond, and I still haven't heard back from her. She said she couldn't budge with lowering the price I paid after my hair looks like s**t!! I'm so upset and every time I look in the mirror I feel so ridiculous that I trusted someone like her to screw up my hair, talk cr*p about other clients, rob me, and then ghost me. She didn't want to take any responsibility for her actions, I didn't receive any apologies, she knew she messed up and got me products (in which I still tipped her for it, still no thank you), and she had zero regard of how I felt and pretty much sent me a text saying, " I'm sorry you feel that way." with no intentions of trying to come up w a solution. Like I said my hair is still toned the incorrect color and she couldn't even do that right. She's the most unprofessional hair stylist I've ever dealt with and if I can give her zero stars I would. Do not recommend her by any means. Hair is the way people express themselves and I feel robbed of a way I can express myself the way I wanted to. I have to wait so long to have healthy hair again and I literally paid to damage my hair and for it to look like I have 3 strands left. It's embarrassing!!!! Be really careful with people like this!
