I have been taking my little Papillon to Melody for years and won't go anywhere else. Melody does a beautiful job, listens to my requests and treats my dog kindly. My dog is VERY sensitive so I would know if anything scary had happened to her during her grooming because she would act jumpy and nervous afterwards. Admittedly, Papillons don't require a lot of grooming other than a bath and foot & nail trim but my Emma looks great every time Melody grooms her. Melody's prices are great too. read more

I have referred so many friends and family to melody because her business is hands down the best. I had tried several places for years with no success. My oldest dog is very timid and doesn't do well in kennels (spent all day every day in a kennel prior to adoption). She is able to groom him in a timely manner and doesn't have him waiting in a kennel for long before and after grooming. My old groomer would have him for 8+ hours a day and he'd be kenneled the whole time. He would come home fearful. Now he is proud to show off his haircut and doesn't seem to be too shaken up after the appointment. I recently got another dog and Melody grooms her to perfection. She knows how to handle the dogs and goes above and beyond. They always come home smelling and looking amazing. Pricing is affordable as well. If I could give this 0 stars or a negative rating I would. I take my animal every 8 weeks to get groomed religiously and I thought I would try Melody out because she came recommended. Not only did she hurt my animal which caused me to have to take him to the vet spending more money out of pocket. I asked for a call back ASAP and didn't get one for some days after words and then the owner of the business wanted to blame me and laughed at Facebook comment saying word of mouth is best when it comes to business. All around a HORRIBLE experience with a HORRIBLE business owner. Regardless of how busy you are as a business owner if somebody is having issue with their animal after a service you preformed there should be a call back as soon as you are available. Not 4+ days later. Unless you are working 24/7 there is time in the day to call back and discuss an issue. read more

I've taken my Poodle to several groomers in town. No one seemed able to get we wanted a teddy bear cut. Melody nailed it! He looked and smelled great. I didn't think his fur could be so soft. Plus, the price was great and the wait was reasonably short. We're definitely new regular customers. read more

Let me start by saying Melody's grooming came highly recommended by several people I know. She is super friendly, very fast, and the prices cannot be beat! I don't normally write reviews, however I feel like what I have to add is relevant to other puppy parents. If your dog has really bad anxiety at the groomers- this is Not the groomer for you. My pup has been hiding since we got home and there is smeared poop on his butt I assume from having an accident in the bath. This is no fault to Melody. She runs an express dog wash, so I take responsibility as the owner to have known better (even though he has been to several grooming appointments in his lifetime). I will say My pup smells amazing and looks fabulous. The other pups getting their haircut looked super happy and were all smiles. I would recommend, but due to my pups high anxiety (only with bath time lol) Its unlikely I'll return which is a bummer because I definitely love the idea of supporting a small business. read more

I took my shih-tzu Molly to Melody for the first time on Friday. I had a discussion with her about some of Molly's issues (she has numerous wart type things on her body) as well as informing her about Molly's temperament, her reactions to a bath and that she isn't fond of having her feet or face trimmed. I gave her as much info as I could so she would know what to expect. I showed her a picture of a dog that she had on her website so she could see the kind of cut I had in mind. She did a fabulous job on Molly. She looks so cute and her fur is so soft. You can't beat her prices either. Grooming dogs is a skill that I could not master, so I am very happy to have found someone I can afford. I was very impressed with Melody and her small business which I for one will continue to support. I came home, got online and immediately booked my next appointment for October. Melody's grooming butchered my dog! Please do not take your dog there! I have a collie/husky mix named Gus. I took him to Melody's Grooming on Monday, December 17th, 2018. I told her I just want him to have a bath, brush, and nail trim. Last time she trimmed him and I explained to her that I did not like that, we like to keep his coat long. She agreed to not cut him. When I came to pick him up after about an hour, she said she had to "trim him a little" because he was matted. I told her it he gets brushed regularly by my kids. I did not have time to thoroughly look him over as another dog was coming in and rather aggressive, so I paid her in cash and left. I got him home and Gus seemed upset he went straight to his kennel and refused to come out. After I coaxed him out, I saw the extent of what she meant by "trim". You can see the pictures. She completely shaved his ass and belly all the way up to his chest. I texted her, saying I was upset. She says he was matted underneath, and yes he was somewhat but nothing a good brushing could not handle. It had been 9 days since he was last brushed, he was not that matted, not enough to constitute shaving him. She said he was impacted, if that was true, then that means that she did not take care of his anal glands last time he was in back in October and that was most definitely not true. I told her she should have called me before she cut him and she said there was nothing she could do. When I asked her for a refund, she said she does not do that. She offered me nothing to bring me back as a customer, she never even apologized or offered to correct her mistakes or that she even made a mistake. I took Gus to another groomer yesterday and she told me that because of his breed and he was improperly groomed, his fur may not come back properly. She may have forever mangled my dog's beautiful fur. Gus has been traumatized by this event. He hasn't played since and he is a very playful dog. He hides away in his kennel and won't even play with the neighbor dogs that come over every day. He cannot sit or lay down comfortably, especially outside (this is normally his favorite weather and he can't stay outside because I am afraid his butt is going to freeze). We are hosting Christmas and want to take family pictures with him but he looks terrible. He is specially trained and very confidant, normally, anyone that knows him knows this is very true. He is not himself. What I think happened was she was very busy, overbook and she did not want to take the time to brush him out. She just got out the clippers, her laziness forever mangled my dog. When I told her I was going to write this review, she said fine but she would still not refund my money. She would rather lose customers than refund my money. So if you go to Melody's Groomers, please stop taking your dogs to her! My father and Mother-in-law have already agreed to stop. If you do not please share this so that people will stop taking their dogs to her. She operates out of her home and I am not even sure that she has a license to groom pets much less operate a business out of her home. See the pictures below for more.
