They place is HORRIBLE & the way the do business is ILLEGAL! I had to call the damn police because…read moreI was charged $350 for a towing fee since the man claimed it was ok private property but Wisconsin towing laws says they cannot charge more than $150! Then was charged another $150 because it was a "keyless tow" since I had the key on my person. Then was charged $80 a day storage fee when again Wisconsin law says they can only charge $25 outdoor fee $35 for indoor fee. The car was towed ona Tuesday evening and I was released from jail and attempted to retrieve my vehicle on Friday morning (less than 3 days later) and they claim that they aren't open and wouldn't be open until Tuesday because Monday was a holiday (Memorial Day) & state law says they cannot charge for storage fees on days that they are not open for 4 hours or longer nor can then charge the storage fees for anything after the day of attempting to retrieve the car And then apparently there's these made up extra fees I'm being charged for a grand total of $1100 to get my car back . Are you in call the police to confirm these laws and the man laughed in the officer's face because even though it's illegal the officer cannot give him a ticket nor arrest him for it. So what is the point of these laws if there's no consequence to someone who breaks them. Caledonia you need to instate some type of consequence for this extortion

They did a great job, informing me of problem and took care of it. Friendly staff. Thank youread more

I've had my car there 3 times for service since they first opened their doors a few months ago. In…read moreeach case, I was totally satisfied with the quality of the work done. The first time, I had a coolant leak and the mechanic actually SHOWED me where it was leaking. Actually seeing the problem with my own eyes when the car was on the lift immediately made me feel that they can be trusted. They fixed that problem, did some other overdue maintenance work, and the car's been running much better now, zero problems. The only minor problem I had was that I asked for the parts to be returned to me, and they weren't. That really wasn't a big deal since my driveway isn't full of coolant spots any more. I thought the price for this repair was entirely fair. The second time was a problem that couldn't be duplicated when I was driving it while the tech was in the car with me. Ah well... They didn't charge me for that visit. The most recent visit was exceptional. I managed to get the end of a gas funnel stuck in the neck of my gas tank. This caused all kinds of problems when I'd fill up with gas at Kwik Trip. I tried to fish it out myself, but couldn't. I brought it to the dealership, and they told me they couldn't see it or get it out after allegedly scoping it out. The dealership charged me for that visit. I know they have bills to pay, so I was OK with that. On a whim, I brought it to the new Meineke (formerly Pope Autoworx). I told them what happened and that I wanted them to try to get it out, but I'd pay for an hour of time, no matter what. I told them that I wanted to save the part so I could see it. Well... THEY GOT IT OUT!!!!! The dedication, time and effort that they showed me in actually FIXING this problem impressed the hell out of me. I do my own oil changes and brake jobs, but for nearly everything else, this Meineke garage will be my first call.

I have been taking my 1973 Pontiac GTO and my 1958 Chevy Impala to Bruce at Franklin Automotive for…read moreabout 8 years now. I always have great dialogue with Bruce about maintenance, repairs, and enhancements I am planning and executing on my two classics. Right now, we are planning for a crate motor and 700R4 transmission for my Impala this coming winter. Bruce, along with Norm, do most of the classic car work at Franklin. Bruce is always realistic and fair with me about costs, timelines, and has vast experience with a broad array of classic cars from "The Big Three". Every time I go there, I see anywhere from 3-4 other classic cars on lifts or being worked on. And Bruce is not just stuck in the past with "old-think" about these classics. He's up on new-tech as well. He put a new Dakota Digital dash in my Impala and now we're discussing the benefits of EFI vs. carburetors, even though he might be the best carb guy around. Another thing I like about Bruce is that he owns two classic cars himself so he is a fellow enthusiast who shares with me the passion of the hobby I love so much. Finally, and this may not matter to some, but Bruce is deeply involved with the Lions Club and I respect the fact he volunteers in that capacity (I am not in that nor any such endeavor myself). There are a lot of wanna-bees out there who hack on old cars. Or high-end shops that charge an arm-and-a-leg. That's not here. Now go and get that dream car on Ebay Motors with confidence that: 1. It will have issues (that's just the hobby). 2. Bruce can handle them.

I asked about price difference, they said, " we never charged you only $120". I told him I had the receipt yet and he didn't want to hear it. Not to mention they have a young punk take your vehicle for a joy ride. Came back 15 minutes later. Just a warning consumers. I told the guy I was worried something was going to be stolen. My conscience is clear now.
