I ended up getting one of their specials, the eggs Benedict, and I did clarify while ordering that I would like a soft poached egg because I'm very disappointed when it comes out with no runny yolk. Sure enough, 30 minutes later, which seemed a little bit long for a diner, our food came out and my eggs were harder than a hard boiled egg. I asked them redo the eggs only so that I could start eating my hashbrowns in the enormous slab of ham, and she said it was going to take a while. (If it takes anyone a while to poach an egg, they're probably doing it wrong.) I was able to scoop my butchered eggs off, start eating my food, and sure enough within a few minutes I had properly soft poached eggs as a replacement. I hate to be that girl, but I made it very clear on the front end that the only kind of egg that I would expect for Benedict. They gave us our tickets to pay at their register upon exiting, and I do admit that I like the charm of an old-school actual written paper ticket and very affordable breakfast. I would come back here anytime, just maybe stick to their normal menu.

My salad with blue cheese dressing was good and My ribeye was tender and delicious, as were my au gratin potatoes. My wife loved her walleye special with quinoa salad and green bean and carrot soup. Our dinner guests seemed very pleased; one with the ribeye and one the seafood Alfredo with shrimp and scallops. We topped off our meals with classic ice cream drinks of brandy alexanders and a pink squirrel; both excellent, and shared a price of cheesecake which was just a tad dry, but not bad. Overall an excellent experience. 4.5, and would definitely go back.
