Service was fast and friendly. Burger was of high quality. Restaurant was clean and quaint. A lovely stop if you're visiting Chippewa Falls.

We have been going to this restaurant since it opened, The staff then was friendly and courteous, you felt like part of the community..Now we are rushed with no sense of community. Then the portion sizes were fantastic everything always taste good. If you wanted value this was a place for you and your family....Now portion sizes much smaller and the prices have gone up past what it is worth. Tonight when we ordered...our salads came out first as always, we had just dressed our salads and the main entree was already at the table. When My family goes out to eat we would like to eat our salads then have the main come not at the same time. My husband had Beef and Gravy one of his favorites and the beef looked to uniform close to what a steakum looks like. Not much gravy and if he asked for some extra he would have been charged. I had the chicken strips and fries...the fries had a fishy taste like the oil was not changed. When we paid the bill I did complain to the owner/manager about what was wrong. I was told with all the people here you are the only one to complain. This restaurant in the the beginning there was always a waiting list, on a Friday and Saturday night. Exactly what we needed on our last morning visiting Chippewa Falls. This place had a lot of options but all were mostly diner style. I ordered the veggie omelet with cheddar cheese and my friend ordered the hash. Both were served with toast and hash browns. The omelet was juicy, cheesy, and well cooked. The hash browns were solid and the toast was great too. We also loved that they just let the coffee pitcher on the table, makes it way easier. Prices were decent and food was solid. We go every weekend for breakfast.. we have always had breakfast and there eggs Benedict is wow .. the best i have had.. but the last time we were not impressed.. my whole order was not correct.. and to top it off it was cold.. we could hear the service tell the cook that I didn't know what I wanted and changed my mind. The cook was mad and we heard him saying well that figures.. it took so long to get my food my husband was done and mine was brought to me cold. So I know what service to ask for next time.. I just don't understand why people don't take pride in there jobs.. read more

We ate at Chippewa Family Restaurant today and were BLOWN away! The food was FANTASTIC!!! Honestly the best breakfast we've ever had in the Chippewa Valley. Very traditional ingredients and lots of variety on the menu. I appreciate an entire page of smaller appetite selections. Which are not small at all! The coffee is delivered in a carafe, the plates are full of food. This is what comfort food and a family restaurant are all about. Today's breakfast special was an asparagus omelette. Food was very good at a good price. Hash browns were very good, I added onions. Waffles were good and they do a good job with eggs.

A very typical diner setting with a very typical diner menu. Nothing out of the ordinary. People (especially the owner) are all very nice and attentive, but the food is average at best, and overdoses on the salt as seasoning. If you want large portions at a good price, and aren't too picky on flavor, then this is the place for you! We are full time RVers and stopped here for breakfast before a long day of travel. There is plenty of open parking and the place is immaculate first of all. We were seated immediately , and given a pot of coffee and ice water within a minute. I had eggs sausage and pancakes. All hot and good and the pancakes were nice and fluffy! The waitress checked on us twice as did the owner. I just can't think of a more comforting meal and place to start the day. Great prices too with both of us well fed for 21$. And on the way out saw pies that looked amazing! Just do it. You won't be disappointed. read more
