Disappointed - Where's the Meat & Cheese? We were excited to try Melt'd, but unfortunately, the sandwiches didn't live up to the name. We ordered all three pressed sandwiches on the menu, and each one was lacking. Where's the cheese? Where's the meat? The portions were disappointing--mostly bread with barely any toppings. While the pricing seemed reasonable at first, after seeing how little was inside the sandwiches, it made sense. The staff was working hard, but there was no warmth--no greeting, no smile, nothing that made us feel welcome. We wanted to like this place, but without improving the portion sizes and service, we won't be back. This could be a great little sandwich spot, but they need to deliver on quality and quantity.

Little spot off the square. He gets behind from time to time so have patience because it's well worth the wait. The Grilled cheese action is great and the meats are quality. My daughter and I frequent this gem after a day at the park for lunch. It's our spot for New Port Richie play time. Afterwards there's a great ice cream shop attached as well. Give it a try you won't regret it.

I have to say--this meatball sandwich was amazing! Coming from a New England Italian -American background, I normally don't order meatballs in FL, but I was in for a surprise when I tasted this sandwich! It reminded me of home--the sauce, the amount of cheese, and the quality of the meatballs themselves was just what I needed. The person who made it was great too. I was dealing with an issue and wasn't in the best mood, but he didn't skip a beat and was polite and patient. For that I extend a thank you! read more

Dropped by to pick up a quick meal before heading back to work. Ordered the Cuban sandwich 10 in. It was very good. I ate half and saved the rest for next day. Great value too. And the ice cream shop connected was most welcome on a hot day. Servers are awesome and very helpful. read more

Decided to find something local for dinner. We got a few different sandwiches to try them out. All were really good. We got the Cuban, roast beef Big Dipper(French dip), my son got a ham grilled cheese with pineapple and bbq and he loved it. I thought all the sandwiches were really good, and they use boar's head meats as well. The prices were really good as well. We would definitely be going back again. read more

I was surprised at how tiny Melt'd was....however what it lacks in size it makes up for in taste! (btw they also own the icecream/sweet shop it's attached too. I got the Hot Chick (which i don't see on the menu, so maybe it's a limited special) I was not let down.....Delicious!!!! Friendly service, Definitely worth your time. We have been here several times. The sandwiches are very good and large. They are made to order, so if they are very busy you may have to wait for your order. So don't go if you are in a hurry. My wife and I usually order a couple of sandwiches or share one with chips and drinks. We take them across the street to the park and when we finish eating them, we return for ice cream next door. (I think they are the same owners). Highly recommended. read more

The Cubans from here are good. They use Boars Head and don't offer to put anything weird on it like tomatoes lettuce. The prices are very fair, you can get a 10" Cuban for just under $9, enough for two people. I haven't tried anything else yet. They recently expanded their menu and set up a separate cafe- they used to serve everything from behind the icecream counter. The cafe is super cute, really like the new aesthetic they're going for. The service is always friendly. The only reason I'm not giving five stars is there's always a bit of a wait, even when they're not busy. read more

I was on my way to hernando county and since I wasn't too familiar with the area, I decided to look in Yelp for a place to eat. Melt'd popped up and after looking at the menu and seeing pictures of their food, I decided to stop. It's not too far from US19, and I wanted something quick and easy. So glad I stopped in, I got the Cuban sandwich and was surprised it came with a side ( I got potato salad). The cuban was delicious, the bread was pressed to perfection with the perfect balance of melt'd (see what I did there?) cheese, it was slathered with Mayo and mustard, and piled high with meat. While we were in town looking around we stopped it for a sandwich. The place was super clean, tables to eat outside or indoor in the ice cream shop side or testy. I order the flying pig and my husband had the beef and cheddar. The sandwiches were made quickly and came with a side item. It was delicious, so packed with meat and cheese. This food is AMAZING!! I would honestly get food here all the time if I lived closer. Even the sides taste great. The garlic spread was perfect, not too strong but strong enough where I could taste it compliment everything else. To me, the sandwich was perfect. I'd hesitate to get a hot sandwich to go, though, since it's a 15‑minute drive home and it likely wouldn't hold up well.

I'm not sure what this man's name was, but they didn't get any business from us because of him. I would be upset, too, if I had 40 years on this earth to get my life together and the best I could do was work in a food shop. I will never recommend this business and will make sure to let everyone know the service is awful. read more
